Mountain view Hotels in Yogyakarta

The location is not far from Malioboro. However, due to the traffic, it's difficult to walk, so it takes about a five-minute Grab ride. The lobby staff are friendly, and the breakfast spread is good with plenty of options. As for the room condition, the showerhead was a bit problematic, and in my room, I found some small ants. Luckily, they didn't reach the bedroom, but it's something to keep in mind if you're staying at the Suite Residence.

The hotel has a great location, only a 10-minute walk from Malioboro Street. The facilities are very new, with a children’s playground and a mini zoo. The rooftop swimming pool also offers a great view.

Reasonably priced hotel. Across road, there is a pharmacy, supermarket, nasi padang local dish stall and 15mins walk to Maliboro Street. Hotel breakfast at 80rp...cheap but no variety. Everyday, same food. Hotel transfer 300rp. Reasonable. Overall, very gd for single traveller. Hotel staff very polite.

The service is good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is strategic. The room is quite spacious and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi is excellent 👍. However, the AC needs cleaning, and the bathroom cleanliness could be improved (the shower is partially clogged, and the bathroom walls need cleaning). This is a nice and pleasant hotel.

We stayed for an International running event. Majority of our group western. The hotel does not serve or stock alcohol, which the group was not informed of. The town has changed remarkably in 12 years. The rooms are being upgraded however some didn’t have a safe or refrigerator. The bathrooms are small and have mould spots in the silicon sealant. The service from the front desk staff was excellent given they probably haven’t dealt with such a large group of foreigners before. Breakfast was local food and quite good but sometimes took some time to get your order.

Appealing 4-star hotel with unbeatable prices – excellent service, but facilities have weaknesses. The Grand Kangen Hotel impresses with its visually appealing premises and outstanding value for money. However, the facilities didn't quite meet my expectations for a 4-star property. The pool area is quite small and unfortunately offers no loungers for relaxing. The fitness room is also very compact, equipped with only three machines. While the breakfast buffet is decent, it offers a rather limited selection for Western guests. A definite highlight is the staff: all employees are incredibly friendly, attentive, and provide perfectly comprehensive service! Unfortunately, there aren't many good restaurants within walking distance in the immediate vicinity. However, this is easily compensated for, as food orders via GrabFood are absolutely seamless and quick. Highly recommended for budget-conscious travelers who primarily value top-notch service and affordable accommodation prices!

Strategic location , many restaurant near hotel. Check in on time at 2pm and can’t early check in but its ok. Room clean 😊
