Mountain View Hotels in Lanzarote

What a find! This modern, spacious and well equipped two-storey villa has 5 bedrooms and is a world of luxury. A 20-25 minute walk from the airport along a safe dual use cycle path / footpath, you don't need a taxi or a bus. We booked Magma Rooms for the first 2 nights of a 7 day visit, as was arriving late 10pm+ from the UK. A second night at Magma was good to explore nearby restaurants and visit the beach in the day. What can I say about the room? It had everything you needed from free-to-use safe, flat screen TV, power shower, hairdryer, fan, extra pillows and blankets. In the shared facilities there is a Nespresso machine and mini bar fridge (pay via honesty box) as well as wine glasses, bottle opener etc. They have thought of everything! After check-out we then walked back to the airport to catch the # 161 bus to Puerto del Carmen (1.40€ each).

I stayed nine nights at SENTIDO Æquora Lanzarote Suites with my husband, our three children (ages 16, 14, and 8), my sister's family (including her children, ages 2 and 1), and our dad. We usually opt for all-inclusive stays in Playa de Los Pocillos annually but have never visited this hotel. We were assigned three junior suites: two on the ground floor near the splash pool and one on the first floor (18 steps up) for my elderly dad and son. I would rate this hotel three out of five stars. This review provides an honest account of our experience. Check-in Experience When we arrived at 8 pm, there was only one staff member at the front desk handling check-ins, so we had to wait in line. The lobby was impeccably clean, bright, and welcoming. The staff member was polite but distracted, frequently interrupted by phone calls and colleagues needing assistance. Soledad, his boss, intervened several times and seemed dissatisfied with his performance. At one point, he disappeared into the back office for over 5 minutes, disappointing after a long day of travelling. Overall, the check-in experience was not very welcoming, and we were underwhelmed when we finally reached our rooms. Room Quality The rooms were excellent—extremely spacious and perfect for our family. The beds were comfortable, and daily housekeeper service was available. At check-in, we could opt for less frequent housekeeper service if desired. Free Wi-Fi was available in all rooms. However, the air conditioning was not enormously powerful, and the room could have been cooler. I have experienced better air conditioning in other hotels. The room had two sleeping areas, ideal for giving our older son his space. The main downside was the communal open bathroom area, which offered no privacy for toilet use or showers. I had to ask my son to leave the room while showering since dressing had to happen in the open. While we managed, the lack of privacy in the bathroom would not be suitable for travelling with friends or children's friends. It was an unusual setup I had never encountered in a hotel. Customer Service The animation staff at the hotel were exceptional. They tirelessly provided entertainment from early morning until late evening. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the kid’s club and especially loved the mini disco. Enes, who ran the kid’s club, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure all the children had a wonderful time. We are grateful for his efforts and the enjoyable experience he created for our kids. Sadly, the remaining staff significantly impacted my rating of this resort. The rudest staff I have encountered in all my years of travelling. No staff member stood out for their friendliness or effort to enhance our experience. Many were rude and diminished our experience. The resort's size affected the staff, making guests a low priority. Stayed for two nights whilst on vacation exploring Lanzarote, paying a pretty good price for a last-minute booking. The compact hotel is very well located near the centre of Arrecife, on the coast almost directly opposite the Castillo de San Gabriel. There is no parking available at the hotel, although there is a large public 24hr underground carpark near the Arrecife Gran Hotel about a 10-minute walk away (around 30€ for a day and a half). Check in was quick and friendly, despite a late-night arrival. My room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the back streets of Arrecife. The room was comfortable although the décor was perhaps a little old. Good WIFI, but the room had only one free power socket (as the fridge had been unplugged before I arrived). The bed was fairly comfortable, some noise from the street at night, but nothing too loud. My room didn’t have aircon, which wasn’t an issue in October, but maybe an issue in the summer? Breakfast was on the terrace at the top of the hotel giving really good views; and a good selection to food choose from. Overall, a well located hotel to explore Arrecife and the surrounding area, but given the limited facilities at the hotel and lack of parking maybe better for short stays!

Great family apartments, very clean thanks to the lovely ladies who work there and who will also do a full bag of washing for €5. There's no air con but fans are free from reception. Quiet and safe resort within 10 minutes walk of the main *****. There's also a lidl about 15 minutes walk away and only €4 back in a taxi. There are a few smaller supermarkets close by too. A few recommendations for restaurants in puerto del carmen, Sebastyans is an authentic Greek restaurant past lani's. Amazing food, incredible views and reasonably priced, definitely worth a visit. Also Port O Mar opposite the steps to the beach is reasonably priced and the guys are very welcoming and great with the kids. If you want to just stop for a beer then el kioska is in a nice wee spot, and a large beer is only €1.80 Overall Tisalaya are great family apartments in a good location and very clean.
