The Glamping Base boasts an excellent location, directly facing Volcano No. 3 and just over a kilometer east of the North Visitor Center of the Volcanic Geological Park. The facilities are brand new, with full smart home integration, and the panoramic balcony is absolutely stunning. The service was also great; they proactively helped with our luggage. Breakfast was quite substantial, offering millet porridge, eggs, kimchi, fried dough sticks, and corn. The camp restaurant surprisingly served delicious food at reasonable prices, though reservations are required 1.5 hours in advance. Since our high-speed train was scheduled late, the friendly staff at the camp readily agreed to a late check-out, for which I'm very grateful!

Great location just under 10-minute drive away from the Volcanoes Park North entrance. We arrived very late and the owner kept the restaurant open to make us some dinner. The breakfast was very tasty with several local specialties like meat buns, yoghurt pancakes, and their own free-range chicken eggs. It all appealed even to our Westerner taste buds! Our favorite breakfast of the trip! The property is not large, but it is very tidy and clean with a courtyard, lawn, paved walkways and lounging areas. The room was exceptionally clean as well - clean floors, clean bathroom and clean white sheets (which is not always a guarantee...). We had a spacious 2-storey loft which our kids enjoyed. Of note - the stairs are very steep to the loft. The beds were quite hard (something we have already come to expect in China), so we used one of the comforters as extra padding. While it was nearly +25 degrees outside, the air conditioning worked great. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and definitely recommend!

This was a fantastic guesthouse! The environment was nice and clean, and most importantly, the owner was incredibly kind. Our group booked this guesthouse at the last minute before leaving Datong, and the owner immediately called to confirm our booking and reminded us to drive carefully due to the snow. When we arrived, it was almost midnight, but the owner was still awake and had already turned on the air conditioning and heater for us. Because our itinerary was quite rushed, we checked out early the next morning, and breakfast was very generous. The owner not only helped with our luggage but also helped shovel snow and shield our car from the wind. It was too cold in winter; we'll definitely come back in the summer next time.

The room facilities are complete and new, and the beds are comfortable, making people feel comfortable and at ease. The service staff is warm and thoughtful, and the details show their care, making us feel the warmth of home. The owner of the B&B is very considerate. Not only did he provide a detailed check-in guide, but he also helped us solve many problems. Staying in this B&B is an experience beyond expectations, and every detail is a surprise.

This might indeed be the newest and best accommodation around, and the price definitely reflects that. However, there's no denying that the smart devices are frankly quite difficult to use. Voice commands often don't work even after multiple attempts. The smart toilets in both rooms require manual flushing; they don't auto-flush after you stand up. The most concerning issue was the pungent smell of renovation in the room. Anyone knowledgeable knows that formaldehyde is colorless and odorless, so I'm not sure if the lingering smell was paint fumes (or benzene, toluene-like substances) or other volatile harmful gases. When I wiped down the blue cabinets with a wet wipe upon check-in, blue stains appeared immediately – possibly due to fading or peeling paint. If you prioritize your health, I'd strongly advise you to reconsider! This is my honest and genuine review. The dining quality was decent, leaning towards above average, with three restaurants available. The BBQ we ordered on the first day was exceptionally good, and the 'ice-cooked lamb' was also tasty. However, the meal on the second day on the second floor was disappointing. We specifically requested no spice, yet every skewer was covered in chili. The waiter seemed clueless and had to re-grill and serve a new batch, but the taste was completely different from the first time. The standout feature was the deep sleep memory foam pillow – it was excellent. Several family members commented on how comfortable it was, even more so than pillows provided in some large hotels in big cities. You can watch fireworks from the second and third floors, which adds a lovely touch.

The hotel is new, the environment is great, and the stay is comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and even upgraded our room for free. Also, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

The stay at the hotel during my volcano trip was fantastic! The hotel's location is superb, right next to the scenic area entrance, making getting around convenient and time-saving. The rooms were clean and tidy, with new and complete facilities, and excellent soundproofing, ensuring a good night's sleep. The service was attentive and thoughtful, making it perfect for a family of two adults and one child. The breakfast was plentiful and well-equipped, making it a very comfortable place to rest after exploring the volcano. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting Ulanhada Volcano. The receptionists, Xiao Dong and Xiao Liang, were incredibly welcoming and helpful, proactively adding me on WeChat to send them a volcano travel map. First, the pros: the room facilities were decent, the room was quiet, parking was convenient, and the Wi-Fi was fast. Suggestions for improvement: 1. There is no laundry room in Building A. This should be clearly stated. You have to take your dirty clothes to the VIP building, wash them, and then retrieve them yourself. Even after washing and drying, you have to retrieve them yourself again. There's no one to collect laundry late at night, so I didn't use it. 2. The children's toothbrush and slippers listed on the product page were not provided. (I drove from the city center late at night to stay here because of these two points.) 3. Only two bottles of mineral water are free; others are chargeable. (I haven't stayed in a hotel with limited bottled water in the last two years.) 4. I don't know if it was just me or something else, but as soon as I turned on the air conditioner, the entire room was filled with secondhand smoke!!! Why?! (Also, I only discovered that booking through Douyin (TikTok) was cheaper than through Ctrip after I checked in.)

The front desk is average, cold face, what is the specific way to arrange the room? The window leaked and rang. I sent the fruit, the elephant on the bed, the bathroom had disinfectant wipes and toilet pads, and the hotel was rated as a rich and simple breakfast.

Visiting Huanghuagou, the yurts in the scenic area are quite expensive, and so are the meals 😂 So we stayed in the county town. Although the scenic area is 40 kilometers from the county town, it's still convenient to drive there. I would call the county town hotels the kings of value for money!
