Ocean Bliss by Sugar Coliving
"Good location great view stayed 3 nights but room not serviced. Staff helpful and friendly."
AWON HOTEL MIRISSA
"It was very comfortable to stay in AWON hotel, the room is so clean, the owner was very attentive to what I need, I recommend this place to stay."
Dickwella Resort and Spa
"We stayed at this resort during our Sri Lanka trip in April 2026.This resort is really nice however we faced some issues at the reception. Firstly during check-in we weren’t offered a Welcome drink which other guests were offered and also the guy at the reception desk handed over room keys as if he is doing us a favour by giving us early check-in (even though the time was already past 2pm) When we informed the team leader about this she promptly apologised and sent us some chocolates as a token of apology. Location: Beautiful location besides the ocean with direct view from rooms and also entry to the beach. Also cafés,restaurants and clubs are nearby. Rooms: Rooms are clean and tidy.Only issue was with the balcony door which was swollen maybe due to humidity.AC was also working well.Spacious room for 3. Food: We had breakfast and dinner here and there was lots of tasty varieties in the buffet including Sinhalese menu. The Chef also offered us to cook freshly caught rock lobster for lunch but sadly we had checkout that time. Service: It was prompt and staff is also courteous (except for that instance at reception) Mr Ajantha was very jolly & kind and he entertained us very well on the dance floor.Staff at the dining area was very friendly and courteous and treated us well.Swimming pool is also clean and quite big. Overall it’s a good property to stay and would also recommend it."

"Sunset after SPA"
Central Beach Inn
"We stayed 2 nights. Room is really small (no more then 10 m2). No space for bags. Shower was liking water constantly. Single use toiletries given not refilled daily cause they do not make the room up. Nice restaurant location but unfriendly staff. We order fresh fish from the beach for dinner. They misunderstood and served us at 17.00!!! We refused it but wanted it paid anyway. I won’t repeat my stay. Nice location on the beach"
Hey Lala Talalla
Cascara Resort Weligama
"As the first person to write a review, I'll say right away: I absolutely recommend staying here! This hotel is wonderful in every way, from the service to the secluded atmosphere. The breakfasts are excellent – even with just one main menu, there's still a good selection. I was surprised by how well-stocked the room was: I'm not talking about the mini-bar and drinking water, but the bathroom, which has absolutely everything you need, including perfumed toiletries. The conditioner, shampoo, body lotion, and scrub are all fantastic quality. The room is incredibly spacious, and the shower is wonderful. It matches the photos and description 100%. I want to thank the staff for their hospitality, the manager and owner for their smiles and morning chats, and the chef for the excellent cuisine and for helping with a special personal request. It's very close to the coastline, with restaurants, beach clubs, and shops nearby. It was my first time in Sri Lanka, and I have to say, in some ways, I liked this hotel even more than the island itself. Rating: 10/10. I will definitely be back!"
Triple O Six
"Of all the places I stayed in Sri Lanka, this hotel was my favourite, it felt incredibly luxurious from the moment we arrived. The scent throughout the hotel was beautifully intoxicating and the waiting area was stunning. We received such a warm welcome on arrival. It was a real bonus to have a lift to take us and our luggage to our floor, it meant we didn't have to rely on staff help at check out. We got a tour of our accommodation, our room was gorgeous, far more spacious and immaculate than we expected. We had a stunning balcony view towards the beach and could even see Coconut Tree Hill, we chose this location for its proximity to this beauty spot. The bathroom was separate to the toilet and absolutely huge, the waterfall shower was pure heaven and I especially appreciated the HOT water. Everything we needed was provided in the room, along with lots of thoughtful extra amenities that really elevated our stay. We were able to walk to Coconut Tree Hill for sunset and head out for dinner afterwards, which made the location perfect for us. The beach is a little further away, but still accessible. I couldn’t wait to get into bed and it did not disappoint, it was incredibly comfortable and I slept so well. The buffet breakfast is set in its own charming area, with a lovely little bridge connecting the two sides. The selection was great and had everything you would want for a hearty start to the day. We didn’t get the chance to use the pool, it is located near reception and slightly shaded by trees. This was the only small downside for us as it felt like it lacked a bit of privacy, however it would not stop us from staying here again, the hotel is far too good to miss, and with the beach nearby, the pool is hardly needed. At Triple O Six you get what you pay for!!"
Outpost Weligama Beachfront
"Outpost Weligama exceeded my expectations. The facilities and staff were top notch and professionally run. The common areas, including the rooms were immaculate. Everyone was super friendly and attentive to my requirements, from check-in to food to booking taxis. Two things that really stand out were the quality of food at the rootop restaurant and the drinks prepared by their bartender Lahiru. In describing the former, the quality of food was beyond what I expected for a hostel/co-working space. The Head Chef worked in several resorts in the Maldives and in Dubai, which explained the exquisiteness of the food and the presentation. I couldn't believe the quality of the produce, size, flavour and presentation of the meals. The meals I had everyday and on New Years Eve 2024 were equivalent to what you'd expect at fine-dining restaurant in Melbourne, Sydney or Auckland. This was also the same with the cafe. Bartender Lahiru and his team made me and my friend feel very welcome. The drinks he prepared were sublime and matched the quality you'd expect at top bars around the world! I will definitely return to Outpost Weligama in the future!"

Mirissa Beach Villa
"Hands down the best place to stay in Mirissa! It felt like a home away from home, can't thank Kasun, Adeel and the rest of the team enough for their exceptional service from the beginning to the end. Super hardworking staff and most importantly, they made each of the guest feel welcomed. The view of course absolutely breathtaking, peaceful nights - what else could one ask for on a vacation. The food AMAZING! the chef definitely cooks with love."
Handagedara Resort & Spa
"A very high-quality hotel. The student interns provide excellent, lively service. They arranged everything for us, from snorkeling to a safari tour. It's also within walking distance to the beach, and there are many restaurants nearby. We will definitely come back here again."
Asaya Sands Mirissa
"Had an absolutely amazing stay at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything felt perfect. The hotel itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a great atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed instantly. And special thanks to CHAMISHKA & PASINDU for talking care of us, thanks for the hospitality."
Riverside Cabanas
"Proper boutique joint with stacks of character! The Good Oil: Heaps of colour – peacocks strutting about, monkeys chillin' in the distance. Aircon's a ripper – saved our bacon in the heat. Brekkie (fresh fruit + omelette) was bonza. Absolute legend Danush sorted us a whale-watching tour – bloody tops! The Downsides: Wi-Fi's cactus outside the lobby, prices sting a bit (not exactly cheap as chips). Pool's a bit pokey but sparklin' clean. River view? Yeah... nah. More like a prison vibe through the pool fence mesh. All things considered? Solid 4/5 for the spot. Does the job with flair!"
Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa
"Coming to Marriott truly gives you that vacation feeling. Everything from the hotel's amenities and service to the surrounding environment makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. First, the service: since there were no triple rooms or family rooms available when booking, we only reserved a twin room. However, the hotel proactively converted the sofa into a sofa bed for us, solving our child's sleeping arrangement. Second, the hotel's ground floor offers many free entertainment facilities like foosball, table tennis, and billiards. The pool isn't huge, but there are frequent live performances, enhancing the relaxed atmosphere. Moreover, the hotel boasts a superb location right in the heart of Mirissa Bay. From our room's balcony, we had an endless view of the Indian Ocean and rolling waves, which was incredibly beautiful. It's worth mentioning that surfing is a must-try at Marriott; I heard the waves here are perfect for beginners. Looking around, the entire coastline is dotted with surfers, but because the coast is so vast, it never feels crowded, which is incomparable to surfing spots in China (like Houhai). The beach is also very fine, with no broken shells or corals, which is also great for surfing (friends who have surfed in Houhai will understand). However, a word of caution to Chinese tourists: if you're heading to the beach from the hotel and encounter coaches renting surfboards, you *must* haggle aggressively down from their initial quote, then negotiate slowly. The actual cost can vary significantly depending on peak or off-peak season, so I won't go into specifics here. All in all, you won't regret choosing Marriott when in Mirissa, and surfing is definitely an experience not to be missed."
Cape Weligama - Relais and Chateaux
"Amazing stay! Villa was big and cozy, and the amenities were great! Though the pool was shared between two villas, it still had a lot of privacy."

"Great experience Rooms are clean, breakfast is amazing The spa is the best i had in sri lanka"
Villa Vista by the Serendipity Collection
"Amazing architecture, beautiful place to relax the day away by the pool… fantastic local breakfast and lovely staff!"
Sapiens Home - Weligama Bay
"It's alright, but the location is hard to find."
Beach & Bliss Mirissa
"This is the most expensive yet the worst hotel that I have stayed in on my Sri Lankan trip. The bed and room was ok and that’s the only good thing. Not worth $100 per night. The food is terrible. At the front desk, no one knows what they are doing. The hotel is run-down/not yet finished, but it is definitely not tourist-friendly (especially for those coming from another country). I highly do not recommend."
Parasol doré
"Our four night stay at Parasol Dore was the highlight of our recent trip to Sri Lanka. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, the pool is perfect and the beach is so quiet with turtles just in the next cove. We stayed with our 4 year old and loved exploring the local area (highly recommend dinner at Smoke & Bitters and Verse Collective). The breakfast was an absolute treat every morning. Jeremy, Julie and family are the most wonderful hosts and we cannot wait to return. Genuinely cannot recommend a stay at Parasol Dore highly enough!"
Mandara Resort Mirissa
"The location is very convenient, the room is quite large, very suitable for family travel and vacation, it is worth recommending!"
Hotel Ferola
Sky Garden Mini Hotel
"Fantastic place and location"
Coral Beach Hotel
"Corel Beach Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Mirissa. The room was clean, comfortable, and offered breathtaking ocean views. Waking up to the sound of the waves every morning was an unforgettable experience. A special thank you to Sahan and Rosi, who went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed during my stay. Their kindness and support made a real difference. I highly recommend Corel Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Mirissa."
Villa Hillcrest Weligama
"This was such a beautiful and tranquil place that had great views of the jungle and even the ocean in the distance. We spent 2 amazing days here just relaxing, enjoying the pool, taking in the scenery and enjoying the scenery. The private villa was very spacious and well decorated and was tucked away so we felt like we were in our own house. The infinity pool has an incredible view and since you are staying at a small boutique place it is not crowded. All the food was prepared from scratch and delicious. I would recommend staying and hope to come back."
