Ocean Bliss by Sugar Coliving ★★★★
"Great view, beautiful quiet beach nearby."
AWON HOTEL MIRISSA ★★★★
"It was very comfortable to stay in AWON hotel, the room is so clean, the owner was very attentive to what I need, I recommend this place to stay."
DCanal House ★★★
"I chose this hotel in Mirissa for whale watching. It was a bit late to get to the hotel after getting off the plane from Colombo. There was only one waiter to welcome me into the room. The location of his hotel was not easy to find, but it still made me happy from the moment I walked in. Surprisingly, it feels like a deep house and compound, full of green plants, a swimming pool, the room is very tidy, the lights are dim, there is a balcony to view the outside, and the birds chirping constantly in the morning, it makes people feel that they forget time and enjoy it. I will definitely stay there more next time Stay for two days and experience this hotel."
Handagedara Resort & Spa ★★★
"A very high-quality hotel. The student interns provide excellent, lively service. They arranged everything for us, from snorkeling to a safari tour. It's also within walking distance to the beach, and there are many restaurants nearby. We will definitely come back here again."
Dickwella Resort and Spa ★★★★★
"The hotel is very well located, the breakfasts are good, that's where the positive impressions end, the rooms are old, the bed linen and towels are washed to a gray color, and most importantly, there was an infestation of bedbugs in our room, the first day after discovering bites, I thought it was mosquitoes, but when every morning I woke up more and more bitten, I realized that it was not the mosquitoes, when I went to the reception they told me that they checked and there was nothing there, but my poor body says otherwise, we stayed in room 31, so if you are placed in this room, watch your condition, because as far as I understand, no one is going to disinfect it"
Randiya Sea View Hotel ★★★★
"1. Almost no hot water. 2. We went whale watching in the morning, packed our luggage in advance, and told the front desk that we needed to be back before 11 am to shower upstairs. We also asked them to keep the key safe, and that we would check out if we were late. Good grief! We arrived at the hotel a little after 10:15 am, and they had already cleaned everything and then took us upstairs, expecting us to shower in another guest's vacated room?! This is absolutely terrible!"
Triple O Six ★★★★
"Triple O Six boasts a great location, right across from Coconut Hill, and offers spacious, well-designed rooms. However, the floors always seem slightly damp for some reason, which can get on your nerve. Another downside is the breakfast buffet charge—at 5000 LKR per person, it's just exorbitant. Despite these issues, the hotel remains a solid option for its location and comfort, just get your breakfast somewhere else."
Outpost Weligama Beachfront ★★★
"Outpost Weligama is a gem. The community here is incredibly welcoming and diverse, offering a fantastic environment for both work and social connections. The well-designed space in Weligama, with its stunning beach view. Outpost Weligama a hub for forging meaningful connections and experiencing a vibrant, supportive community in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended!"
Hey Lala Talalla ★★★
"This is a very cozy spot that makes you feel like you're living in solitude with nature, right among the rocks. Yes, there's a road nearby, but it absolutely doesn't disturb your rest and relaxation. Everything is clean and tidy, and there's a kitchen, which is very convenient for longer stays. The beach is just a few minutes' walk away. If you're looking for a peaceful place with a nice atmosphere and close proximity to nature – I wholeheartedly recommend it!"

Sailors Mirissa
"The guy running the guest house is very friendly, the location is central, however it is on a main road and from 05:30 onwards the buses, tuktuks and traffic beep and thunder passed making it a bit difficult if you are a light sleeper. The accommodation has a kitchen area for you to use (this was not pointed out to us when we arrived, it is located on the first floor), therefore you can make tea/coffee, have use of a fridge, plus there is free water refill, again an added bonus. Although the room was reasonably clean, the kitchen area could do with a bit of a scrub. The bedding was tired, and the towels acceptable, not a bad place to stay but Mirissa does seem to be a higher price, the accommodation in Bentota is of a higher standard for the money. Easy access to the beach which is just across the road where all the bars and restaurants are located too."
Smeralda Beach Hotel Dikwella
"After an active tour of the island, we decided to spend a couple of days on the coast. We chose the hotel based on reviews and were pleasantly surprised that everything was true! A small cozy area, a room with a beautiful view, everything is clean and there is absolutely no dampness (which we encountered in other Sri Lankan hotels everywhere). The breakfasts were very tasty (they were included), and for dinner we also enjoyed staying at the hotel restaurant and enjoying fresh seafood. The hotel is suitable for a relaxing holiday, and literally 10 minutes by tuk-tuk to Hiriketiya Bay, where it is full of young people, an excellent beach, and surfing lessons. The most important advantage of the hotel is the service! I have never encountered such a level in any hotel in any country - Ksenia helped us with absolutely everything: order a tuk-tuk, choose a spa, find shops, order dinner, transfer to the airport! Holidays in Dikwella were a wonderful end to our trip)"
We Are Surfers hotel
"We loved everything; any questions or problems we had were resolved, thanks to manager Timofey. The hotel is especially convenient for those traveling by moped, but tuk-tuks are also available. The best feature is the ocean view—it's practically its own private beach with a reef. We loved everything."
Coral Beach Hotel
"We stayed as a couple from April 12th to 17th. The staff was very friendly, and the view from the window was stunning. There's a café downstairs that barely disturbed us, except for the occasional smells from the kitchen. The hotel's location was great: the walk to the main street is shaded by trees, where you might spot chipmunks, and you can stop at the restaurant for coffee under a tree. After Mirisa, we drove to Hikkaduwa and appreciated the peace and tranquility. The room wasn't very comfortable. There's no place to put suitcases, no closet, coat hooks are nailed above the nightstand with a kettle, and there's only one chair. Room cleaning is available upon request; we requested daily cleaning. Beach towels are also available upon request. The room includes two bottles of water, tea, and coffee."
Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa
"The environment and facilities are great, and the hotel staff are very friendly. The breakfast is also one of the better ones in the area. You can enjoy the beach and sunshine without leaving the hotel, plus there are two swimming pools. It's also very close to the beach where you depart for whale watching."
Cascara Resort Weligama
"As the first person to write a review, I'll say right away: I absolutely recommend staying here! This hotel is wonderful in every way, from the service to the secluded atmosphere. The breakfasts are excellent – even with just one main menu, there's still a good selection. I was surprised by how well-stocked the room was: I'm not talking about the mini-bar and drinking water, but the bathroom, which has absolutely everything you need, including perfumed toiletries. The conditioner, shampoo, body lotion, and scrub are all fantastic quality. The room is incredibly spacious, and the shower is wonderful. It matches the photos and description 100%. I want to thank the staff for their hospitality, the manager and owner for their smiles and morning chats, and the chef for the excellent cuisine and for helping with a special personal request. It's very close to the coastline, with restaurants, beach clubs, and shops nearby. It was my first time in Sri Lanka, and I have to say, in some ways, I liked this hotel even more than the island itself. Rating: 10/10. I will definitely be back!"
Cape Weligama - Relais and Chateaux
"I experienced three Relais & Châteaux resorts during my trip to Sri Lanka. This one is a stunning resort perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. The villas are huge and chilly, and the pool water is kept at a comfortable temperature. There's also a hidden gem next to the Moon Pool, with a path leading down to a cliff offering breathtaking panoramic sunset views. The hotel service was incredibly attentive, meticulously addressing all guest requests – truly worthy of Relais & Châteaux!"
W15 Weligama
"On the Beachfront with excellent drinks and food. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff who are extremely helpful. Well run small establishment. The front office Manager was extremely efficient"
Wake N Flow, Weligama
"I had an excellent weekend stay at this place. Great room with bathroom and balcony overlooking the pool. Terrific location with a roof top Cafe. The host Akalanka was super helpful, friendly and very funny."
Riverside Cabanas
"Excellent Service. Clean and neat room."
Mandara Resort Mirissa
"We stayed on a half-board basis 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. Special thanks to Front Office Ms Maheshi for her excellent service and friendly attitude with good hospitality. Thank you Ms Maheshi for your nice welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. As a small suggestion, please make sure remember to do room cleaning before we enter to the room. Overall, the view was beautiful, and we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you."
Beach & Bliss Mirissa
"The hotel is very basic, especially considering its price. I wouldn't recommend it; it feels like a self-built house in a rural area."
Ayurvie Weligama - Ayurvedic Retreat - Thema Collection
"We spent an unforgettable holiday with Ayurvedic treatments at the hotel. The staff was very kind and caring, they allowed us to stay longer at the hotel, because our flight home was cancelled. Thank you Lasantha and Hasitha for taking care of our room every day, thank you Emil for the great morning yoga classes!"
Sky Garden Mini Hotel
"Excellent hotel! Clean, everything you need: a kettle, a safe, and bathroom amenities. Away from the hustle and bustle, the location is perfect. I definitely recommend it!"
NiiRA Mirissa
"All I can say is this amazing hotel stands in a class of its own. We certainly enjoyed our 2 nights stay at this place, the staffs are really awesome, friendly and welcoming. Ravi, Amil, Chattu and the rest of the team, thank you for making our trip a wonderful one. I would certainly recommend this hotel to all our friends."
