"This was a sweet trip back in history. They only have three rooms renovated so far so it certainly wasnt crowded. The building is a historic inn and old, so dont stay here if you like sterile chain hotels. Stay here if you like history, high ceilings, uneven plaster walls and 1900's ambience. The room was clean, the bed big and comfy, our room had a small kitchenette. There's a great antique store next door, if I hadnt been flying home I would have bought a lot more! We loved this place."

"We were planning a night of stargazing at Lake Hudson Recreation Area, and wanted a place to stay so as not to drive all the way home late at night. This place was like nostalgic roadside motel of my youth merged with modern Airbnb. The room was very small (appropriately priced as such, in my opinion), but quite adequate for our needs, renovated and decorated in such a lovely way. I noted in particular some generous padding under the carpet that made it comfortable for walking around the room. We spent a very short time at the motel so we didn't take advantage of the coffeepot, fridge, and microwave, or the many places for relaxing outside. If we ever go back for another night at the dark sky park, we'll head to Sunset Acres for sure."
