"Location: The location is great, and it's lovely to stroll around the SoHo and NoHo areas. I much preferred the vibe here compared to the place I stayed at in Times Square later on. Cleanliness: I was surprised that someone cleaned the room every day, and the bed was always neatly made when I returned. Although the space was small, it smelled nice and was quite tidy, not dirty at all. Environment: The environment was also very good, and the bed was comfortable to sleep in, making me feel secure. The wash area, bathroom, and toilet were all clean. Everything had a pleasant scent. Overall: As long as you don't have very high demands for sleep quality and space, this place is quite a bargain. If you have a small suitcase and can accept sleeping only 5-6 hours a night due to being a light sleeper, I highly recommend it! The hotel I stayed at in Times Square afterward was nearly triple the price, but the experience wasn't three times better than here. Minor drawbacks: 1. Regarding noise: It was a bit noisy, but not excessively so, as everyone was very considerate. Perhaps due to the lack of a ceiling, I could clearly hear other guests going to the toilet or getting a drink. Being a light sleeper, I basically woke up at 6 AM every day and couldn't fall back asleep. Also, I had to be very careful in the room myself, as I was afraid any sound might disturb others. 2. Regarding hot water: I took three showers in total. One in the afternoon was almost cold water; one at dusk was lukewarm; and one in the evening started lukewarm but then turned hot. So, if you plan to shower, I recommend doing so in the evening. Of course, the water pressure was very low. PS: You can get free drinking water from the pantry on the ground floor."

"I booked here because I didn't want to be crowded. The surrounding environment is good. The hotel room is small (but the price is cheap in Manhattan). There is no parking lot. It cost USD95 for 24 hours (parking is charged everywhere in New York). The room is small, of course, but the facilities are complete. It's okay."

"Overall, it was a great experience staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton New York Financial District this time. The hotel is ideally located in the Financial District, just a few minutes' walk from the Charging Bull and Battery Park, and also close to the Statue of Liberty ferry terminal. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the complimentary signature warm chocolate chip cookie was delicious and fragrant. The room was clean and comfortable, the bedding was just right – not too soft, not too hard – and it was very quiet at night. The free Wi-Fi in the lobby was fast. There are many subway lines nearby, making it convenient for getting around. For Manhattan, the value for money is excellent, and I would definitely choose to stay here again!"

"The building is right next to New York's Chinatown, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The subway and bus stops are also just a few minutes' walk away. There are Chinese people everywhere in the area, so you'll hardly need to speak a foreign language. The Italian alley is also within easy walking distance."

"Check in was easy, but our room was not nice at all. I do not understand how this hotel is marked as five star because it had three star standards. The first room we were placed in was the handicap accessible room, even though we booked the Classic Queen. The rug was torn up and dirty, the bathroom was oddly arranged, the room was extremely small where you can only sit on your bed. There were no drawers to place your clothes, and there seemed to be a fridge at some point but was taken out. I called the front desk if there was supposed to be a fridge and they rudely said ”no” and hung up. The pillows were horrible - flat, no support at all. I had to use two or three pillows to support my head and neck at night. We woke up the first morning and the room was so hot. We came to find out our HVAC was not working. We called down and we were able to change rooms. The second room was nicer and surprise surprise there was a fridge! We were under the impression that all the rooms did not have fridges since our first one did not have one. So yes, they put us in a subpar room purposefully because maybe we booked through a third party? Either way, do not stay at this hotel if you're expecting ”five star.” The only plus was location - close to the Canal St subway station. Will not stay there again, and definitely do not recommend. "

"Not the WSH that I have stayed in so many times before.  The doorman stood and watched me struggle with the doors when I arrived; and never offered to help me up the stairs with my luggage.  Upon checking in I inquired about the restaurant and lounge hours.  There was nothing in the WSH web page to indicate they were closed for remodeling.  When I made that comment one of the desk clerks said, “If you knew you might not have come”.  Correct; but I would have come back in the future.  Now I will never return, especially since the room I was given had a window with a view of a fallen steel I-beam and a brick wall.  Not to mention it was at the end of a hallway where the door to the stairwell slammed loudly enough to shake the room all day long while staff were constantly using it.  A very ugly way to treat a loyal customer.  When I was informed that the hotel is under new management my only thought was “obviously”.  The transition has not been for the better.  At almost $450.00 per night you could do much, much better."

MMs. ShaniquaOmgosh ... hotel was really nice! Breakfast was excellent and it lasted til 11a, which is pretty awesome for those that like to sleep late. So many options (hot, cold and dry). They offer bacon, sausage, scrambled/cold boiled eggs and breakfast potatoes. Whole fruit (apples and bananas), sliced fruit (melons and pineapples). Cold and hot cereal (oatmeal). Yogurt and granola. You can make your own waffles or pancakes (such a cool machine). Make your own toast and/or select from many pastries or muffins available. So many options! You can even place an order vs. eating from the buffet. They also allow carry-out and to-go boxes. Drink options at the buffet include: coffee, O.J. and apple juice. PLEASE NOTE: There's a separate fee for breakfast if not selected when booking. Having said this, the hotel does not have microwaves in the room, just a fridge. There are microwaves located on each floor though (along w/ vending machines -both are in same location). Our room was spotless and absolutely spacious (no deviation from website)! We arrived way beyond check-in and did call once we knew we'd arrive later than expected. Spoke with front desk staff who assured everything would be OK, only to arrive and find that our room (which was already paid in full) had been given away. The hotel was only able to provide us a King and a rollaway bed. Of course we were disappointed, but the next morning the hotel Mgr. made everything right. Having said that, the rollaway bed is THE HARDEST THING EVER. We bring our own everything (e.g. bedding, cleaning supplies, etc.) so we were able to make it work and make it comfortable. So much so, we'd chosen to not to be moved to the room we'd originally booked. It rained our entire stay which is what caused us to arrive late in the first place (that's a whole 'notha story). Anyway, the hotel had a few small trash bins about the lobby catching leaks here and there, but that didn't stop anything. I barely even noticed. Had I not been recording how beautiful the hotel was inside, I would've never noticed. Parking is $30/day, it's NYC what do you expect? 🤭 There's also parking on the street if you can get spot. Careful though, NYC parking signs can cause confusion for those not familiar with the City's play on words. All in all, this was great stay for us and I'd certainly stay again. Oh, I forgot to mention -I did! Yes, I extended our stay another night because the hotel and location was exceptional! p.s. they also offer a seated bar area. Overall: 10/10✨️

KKitrynThis hotel is immaculate and absolutely everybody is above and beyond pleasant. Though not directly affiliated with the hotel, Inexpensive, super clean and very easily accessible parking is a two minute walk away at 25 Kent St. We paid $64 for 2 1/2 days of parking. The room was incredible. Exposed brick walls with super high ceilings, the bathroom had a huge tub and a wonderful shower. Pro tip: if traveling with someone that you do not want to see you naked, understand that it is not a one-way mirror over the bar and you absolutely CAN see into the shower While someone is showering. Luckily I was with my daughter, so this was not a real issue. The restaurant within the hotel and the Ramen place directly next-door are both wonderful. I did not make it to the rooftop bar this time but since I absolutely will stay at this hotel every time I come to visit I will check it out next time! The room was extremely quiet, temperature was easy to control. Now, a little too much honesty, I am an extremely “sensitive” person, and resting and hearing so much from the second I stepped into this hotel. I was never scared, as I definitely don’t typically get scared, but I had numerous very genuine and very obvious things happen while I say that this hotel, such as seeing things walk across the hall in both my room and the hallway, in the main lobby bathroom someone walked into the bathroom and into the stall next to me, but never left, and when I looked, there was no one there, and I was in the shower. I could hear several men talking to each other as if they were right next to me. I was definitely not hearing people from another room. I also heard the door to the stair well open, which is right next to our room and I was right next to the door so when I looked, there was nobody there and I pulled it shut again. Just out of curiosity, as to what was there prior to the hotel, on the way home my daughter looked up the history to the hotel. Let’s just say it was very enlightening as to why i was experiencing so much activity in this hotel, especially on the third floor next to what I will assume would have been a fire escape at some point. It also may explain why the first thing that went through my mind when I opened the front door of the hotel and turned to my daughter and said “I’m surprised the hotel gets away with door opening inward. It goes against fire code. Anyway, You can look up the history yourself and understand all that I have said. :-) either way, a spectacular hotel at a decent price and a very safe and beautiful part of the city. I will definitely stay here again!

Aaimei2023-01-09The room was very average, with old and outdated facilities. The towels were so stiff they could stand upright, and I have pictures to prove it. The security was very high. The hotel didn't offer breakfast, which was very disappointing. There was an older lady from Shanghai at the front desk who was very nice and made me feel very welcome! The bedside lamp in the room was broken and kept flickering, making it unusable!

SSamantha_TRoom was clean and the views were amazing (see photo of the view from our room)! Although it’s a slight distance from manhattan, but it’s worth it. Nearest metro station is across the street but there’s only stairs (something to note if you are carrying luggages!) but the hotel is a walking distance from other metro stations as well so travelling is an ease. Would recommend for those who are looking to stay at a good place in Brooklyn!

CC.FGI was really lucky to pick such a great hotel in New York this time. It's located in Manhattan's Financial District, super close to the 9/11 Memorial – probably just a 5-minute walk. The neighborhood has convenience stores, coffee shops, and several restaurants. Plus, multiple subway lines make it super easy to get to Midtown Manhattan or Brooklyn. Although the hotel's decor looks a bit dated, it's very well-maintained. The room interiors are comfortable, and some room types offer views of the Hudson River. On sunny days, waking up to that view made my morning every time.

KKyle TanIt was seamless, from check-in to check-out. I was able to request for late check-out. Upon check-out I left my luggage so I could still roam around. Got my luggage back safe. Breakfast is okay. Not grand. But I was able to eat everything. I normally couldn’t eat breakfast from cheap priced bookings cause it’s normally bad, but here, I was able to make use of it.

AAnonymous UserThe room is spacious and even has a separate walk-in closet. There are shops and a Starbucks downstairs, making dining convenient. There's also a small gym. It's just a few minutes' walk to Central Park and MoMA. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is about a twenty-minute walk away. Carnegie Hall is diagonally across from the hotel, and Lincoln Center is a 10-15 minute walk. There's a subway station nearby, but for the Line 1, you need to walk a few minutes to Columbus Circle. Times Square is also just a few minutes' walk, so the location is truly excellent. The facilities are a bit dated, especially the elevators which frequently break down, leaving only one working, so waiting times are long. Housekeeping is just so-so. The lobby restaurant on the first floor has live jazz performances on some evenings. Overall, compared to other hotels, it offers good value for money. The older facilities aren't an issue for me.

GGuest UserMy wife, our 5-year-old son, and I recently spent 3 memorable nights at Hotel Indigo New York Downtown Wall Street during our family trip to New York City, and it proved to be the perfect home base for exploring the city’s iconic Financial District and beyond. Nestled at the corner of Wall and Water Streets, the hotel’s location is unbeatable—just steps from the New York Stock Exchange, a 5-minute walk to the Wall Street subway station, and within easy reach of attractions like the 9/11 Memorial, South Street Seaport, and Brooklyn Bridge, which were all engaging for our curious little one. We booked a standard room with two queen beds, which was surprisingly spacious and comfortable for our small family of three. The room was impeccably clean, featuring modern decor that blends classic charm with contemporary style, hardwood floors, and large noise-canceling windows that kept the busy city sounds at bay—a lifesaver for our son, who needs a quiet space to rest after long days of sightseeing. The plush bedding ensured we all slept soundly, and the room was well-equipped with plenty of USB charging ports and free Wi-Fi, which kept our son entertained with his tablet during downtime. We also appreciated the daily housekeeping and complimentary bottled water, small touches that made our stay more convenient. What impressed us most was how family-friendly the hotel was, even in the heart of the bustling Financial District. The staff was incredibly warm, patient, and attentive—they greeted our son by name after the first day and went out of their way to make him feel welcome. The lobby had a cozy lounge area with free Wi-Fi, where we could relax with our son before heading out, and there were convenient coffee stations for a quick pick-me-up in the morning. The hotel is also pet-friendly, though we didn’t bring our furry friend, it was nice to see the welcoming vibe extended to all families. The hotel’s amenities were perfectly suited for our family trip. The 24-hour fitness center allowed my wife and I to squeeze in a quick workout while our son napped, and the concierge was extremely helpful—recommending family-friendly restaurants nearby and helping us plan our itinerary to avoid crowds at popular attractions like the One World Observatory, where we even got a 25% discount card through the hotel. We also loved exploring the surrounding neighborhood on foot, with cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and the charming Tin Building just a short walk away. Overall, our stay at Hotel Indigo New York Downtown Wall Street was fantastic. The hotel’s prime location, comfortable and quiet rooms, thoughtful amenities, and warm, family-focused service made our New York City trip unforgettable. It’s the perfect choice for families traveling with young children who want to be in the heart of the action while still having a peaceful place to retreat. We highly recommend it and would definitely return on our next family trip to NYC.
