The most breathtaking part of my stay at Akira was undoubtedly opening the balcony door to find the hotel's iconic 100-meter pool almost at my feet. The azure water seamlessly merged with the beach just a few steps away, inviting me to jump in for a swim at any moment – an unparalleled feeling of connection and freedom. Waking up, I enjoyed a plentiful breakfast right at the poolside restaurant. The Pad Thai and freshly made omelets were delicious, and with the pool and sea views right in front of me, the holiday vibes were instantly maximized. While the room itself was a bit minimalistic, this unique 'pool-just-outside-my-window' experience is reason enough to visit again.

This hotel has an amazing sense of style — everything feels thoughtfully designed and really stands out. The atmosphere is modern, unique, and super inviting. What truly made the stay special, though, was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and always smiling, which made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish place with great service. Also we loved the Beach Access and breakfast !

Perfect place to stay if you want a quiet retreat, although it is still in close proximity to the main beach(10 minute walk), despite google maps saying it is longer. The rooms were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful!

Loved it! 🥰🥰🥰 This stay completely exceeded my expectations. Each room is a small, standalone bungalow, and the hotel's beach is absolutely beautiful. The staff provides shuttle service to and from the pier. 🥰🥰 The rooms are very clean, and it's a short walk along the beach to both the pier and the walking street. For places further out, the staff will help you call a tuk-tuk. There are almost no downsides. I honestly didn't have high hopes before arriving, so I was completely surprised that a 500-yuan hotel could be this good! The only issue is that the service attitude isn't great, and the front desk staff seemed to judge people.

Fantastic! The view is exceptional, and the beach is stunning and peaceful because the boats are docked on the previous beach. The staff are lovely, and the bar and restaurant are great value for money. The breakfast is very good, even if there isn't a huge selection. The location is perfect, the sunrises are magnificent, and the water is turquoise – it's a little paradise on earth. This is the best spot on the island. It's a 20-minute walk to Sunset Beach and barely 10 minutes on foot to the small center of Koh Lipe, where you'll find shops, mini-marts, and a bunch of small restaurants. Everything on this island is walkable, it's so peaceful and pleasant. We loved it so much that we added a fourth night to our stay! The little chalet is very cute, though it's not easy to sleep well without air conditioning; there's little air circulation, and it's heavy, but we survived. The bathroom does the job; there's no hot water, but honestly, you don't need it – a cool shower is very welcome when it's 30 degrees Celsius 24/7. It's an eco-lodge in the middle of nature, so you have to accept seeing a few little creatures sometimes; it's part of the experience :) You can rent masks for snorkeling and kayaks or try an introductory dive thanks to the agency right next to the beach. This is a quiet resort with no entertainment. For evening entertainment, head to Sunset Beach or the bars at the end of the hotel beach (you can also watch the sunset there, and the view is very pretty).

The room was good, just like in the photos. The only minor issues were the shower pressure, which was quite weak, and the mattress, which was a bit hard. The location was excellent, and it was clean with daily room service, including towel and water changes.

The hotel is located right on the beachfront, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. There's a very warm and clean pool with a wonderful sea view. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available by the pool and on the beach. Breakfasts are excellent, with good coffee from a machine, several kinds of fruit, and delicious yogurts always on offer. I have no complaints about the hotel itself. HOWEVER, I do have a major issue with the hotel owner: how can you put guests in a house where they are being eaten alive by swarms of mosquitoes!!! This is because the wooden doors and windows are old, warped, and have huge gaps, making it impossible to close them tightly, and the mosquito nets are full of holes. You can see this clearly in the photos. We asked to be moved, but there were no available rooms. Instead of enjoying the beautiful sea, we had to buy tape to seal all the holes in the windows, and we taped up the front door at night, otherwise, it wouldn't just be mosquitoes living in our house. We also bought mosquito coils and burned them constantly, breathing smoke instead of fresh air. This particular house is the only one in such a state; all the other rooms are fine 👌 The house itself is spacious, with two rooms, two bathrooms, and a living room, which was very convenient for us! Change the windows and doors, and it would be perfect! 🔥 But to spend your entire vacation battling mosquitoes and bites for $200 a night, that's just not fair 😳 I didn't want to lower the hotel's rating too much, as the staff isn't to blame, they're great.

This is my second consecutive year staying at this hotel. Booking a sea view room this time made the experience even better. Our room was conveniently located to the right of the lawn, just a 30-meter walk from the restaurant, which offered direct sea views. The rooms here are incredibly spacious and comfortable; I'll definitely book a full week on my next visit! Breakfast was pretty good, with freshly made noodle soup that was very satisfying. During the off-season, they even offer a 10% dining discount voucher. We could bring our fresh catch back from fishing directly to the restaurant to be cooked for 300 Baht per kilogram. It's a decent price; even though it's 50 Baht more expensive than the walking street, I personally feel Benhard Restaurant offers a much better and cleaner environment.

Overall, it was decent. I stayed here towards the end of Chinese New Year, paying a little over 1000 a night. The hotel is right on the beach (though I later learned this is standard for most beachfront hotels here). The room was okay, not too big or small, and clean enough. Facilities were complete but a bit dated. The only downside was a persistent drain smell in the bathroom, though the hotel tried to mask it with air fresheners. The service attitude was quite good, and breakfast was varied and, in my opinion, tasted pretty good. Overall, my recommendation is lukewarm because it really didn't feel worth the price. A lower price point would definitely make it more recommendable.

I stayed 4 nights at Ananaya, and then 4 nights at Ten Moon. My most candid advice: if your top priorities are enjoyment, quality, comfort, and convenient surroundings, then only stay at Ananaya. It's the best, no doubt, especially the rooms with direct pool access. If you're looking for a more natural, eco-friendly experience, and you prioritize great sea views for photos, and don't mind sacrificing some room comfort, then Ten Moon might be for you. Based on my personal experience, I wouldn't choose Ten Moon again. While the service was very nice, I still felt uncomfortable and restricted – the room felt cramped and wasn't relaxing. It's especially unsuitable for older people, with all the up-and-down walking and uneven ground that comes with an eco-friendly setting.
