The hotel's location is great, making it easy to get around. It's walking distance to Nimman One and Maya, and there are plenty of breakfast and coffee shop options nearby. However, the room was a bit worse than expected. The soundproofing isn't good; besides the usual airplane noise from the area, on the first night, loud noises from neighboring rooms continued until 1 or 2 AM, and surprisingly, no one addressed it. The bed linens were also torn, and the lack of hot water in the sink was another downside. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who prioritizes quality. For students on a budget during the off-season, though, it might be an acceptable choice given the low price.

I was here for a business trip, so here's my honest review: 1. The views are great, and the service is good too. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, which is a big plus. 2. The room's facilities really lack practicality. Here's why: a. As shown in picture two, all the hangers are fixed in place. This is really inconvenient for guests who want to hang clothes to dry, and it's rare to find a hotel worldwide where all hangers are fixed. b. There was no hot water for showering. The water temperature felt barely warmer than if it had been left in the sun; there was no sense of heating at all. c. You can only shower while standing in the bathtub, but due to a design flaw, a large amount of water flowed down the wall and onto the floor.

Forgot to take pictures of the room, but it was clean and tidy. The only thing is there were no white lights, just warm-toned ones. I'd strongly suggest adding white lights around the TV cabinet area. If I come to Chiang Mai again, I'd still choose to stay here. The transportation is convenient and the service is great. The hotel lobby also has plenty of seating and free cold drinks, perfect for a little break. They even helped me with my luggage, which I really appreciated as a solo traveler. I felt very safe staying here, especially compared to some of the darker, more 'Thai-style' guesthouses which can feel a bit depressing.

If you want to stay in the Nimmon area this is a great location. Pictures are false advertisement and the hotel is not as nice as the pictures. The bed was comfortable but everything else about room and amenities was quite out dated. Way over priced. Pool only has two lounge chairs so not very inviting to chill out. Service desk was nice and they gave me at least a room where I could look out the window.

It was a very comfortable staying here. Recommend. Location: + close to everything on motorbike (taxi): old city, university and so on. + market and Lotus's in 5 mins walk distance. Facilities: + very good as on photos. + microwave, kettle, dishes and drinking water in corridors. + light breakfasts, little snack in the hall. - when I just came, there was a broken shower heater in the room. Took long time to fix, a nd it was a night. It worked only 10 mins after that. Next day the manager changed a room. - noise because of plains. But didn't disturb me. Cleaning: + even everyday if you need, with towels changing - no soap - black hair in the bathroom, evening after cleaning. In both rooms. Management: + professional. Was ready to help. Thank you!

I’ve found that staffs very helpful and nice. I did request a bottle of water after we checked out and they gave one to us. The room was fairly clean. However, when i entered the room, the floor was still wet from the mobbing. But that was understandable since it was Chinese long holiday. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

I stayed here for a short two-night personal trip. The location is quite good—close to Maya Shopping Mall and right off a main road, with plenty of small side streets leading to restaurants and other services. Overall, it’s a very convenient spot. The staff were friendly and provided good service. As for the room itself, cleanliness could be improved. After checking around the room, I found dust in several areas, so a bit more attention to cleaning would make a big difference. The in-room amenities were mostly complete, except for a toothbrush, which most hotels usually provide but was not available here. One thing to note—this is not really the hotel’s fault, but during my stay there was a large group of classic motorcycle riders. Because it was a festival period, the noise level was quite high, and the sound carried into the room and even into the hallway. I understand the timing, but it also highlighted that the room is not very soundproof. Overall, it’s a well-located hotel with good service, but there is room for improvement in cleanliness and sound insulation.

There are two hotels next to Maya Mall, and this season's pick offers great value for money. Although it's on a flight path, you can barely hear the planes. Nimman One is right across the street. The staff are incredibly friendly and you can easily communicate with them using English and simple Thai. They're so attentive – they wouldn't even let me carry my own luggage, insisting on taking it to my room or bringing it right to me. The lobby has a generous selection of complimentary pastries, water, drinks, and coffee. This place is truly a hidden gem! While there were tiny ants in the room, they were dealt with promptly and it didn't affect my stay at all.

在台灣打枱的女孩The hotel staff is the friendliest I have encountered in visiting hotels in many countries. Everyone is very kind, even the security brother is very nice. When I come back at night and the lights are dim, he will take the initiative to lead the way into the hotel lobby. He also worked hard and often helped us get takeout (>^ω^<) The check-in process was very relaxing, and there were welcome drinks upon check-in. My friend also said that the hotel breakfast tasted very good and the overall environment was very clean, making it feel more like being integrated into nature. The only complaint is that it is very close to the airport and there are occasional airplane noises at night. The convenience store is about 3,400 meters from the hotel. It's not far, but you should be careful at night as the street lights are dim.

KKacieJeongWe had a very good time staying in Travelodge Nimman. The hotel has very clean and modern rooms, with dry bathrooms. You can ask for amenities as you need. They provide slippers, towels and hair dryer. There are 2 receptions in Tower 2 and 7 for check-in. They have free tuk tuk service to nearby shopping areas. Rooftop swimming pool and gym opens until 10pm. There are restaurants, bar and club in the same compound. If you are light sleeper or sensitive to noise, I would not recommend this as the hotel is close to airport and there is noise from flights.

IilovetravelyeahhIt’s lovely to have a fully vegan resort. The property was very clean, the food was excellent, and I absolutely loved the breakfast. The breakfast buffet chef is fantastic, as is the chef at Moreganic, the main restaurant. I genuinely enjoyed all the food and loved feeling safe knowing everything was vegan. What could have been better was the overall hospitality vibe. Many of the staff we interacted with felt quite disinterested and not particularly warm or welcoming. There were some standouts – Orn, Kham, and another staff member who was always smiling (I didn’t catch his name) – but most others felt lacklustre. On several occasions we went downstairs and were not greeted at all, even though staff were sitting at the desk. There was also background music on repeat – a very short piano loop (around 15 seconds) that played continuously from around 6am until night in the breakfast and common areas. It became quite overwhelming over time and is unfortunately very memorable. The room itself was lovely and very clean, however housekeeping was inconsistent on two days of our six-night stay. One day, when we had the eco card on the bed (meaning no fresh sheets), the beds weren’t made at all. Another day, my kids’ beds were only half-done with a quick fold at the end. Generally housekeeping was good otherwise. Different housekeepers rotating I think. The air conditioning units had visible mould on the flap, which I wiped off myself. This raised concerns about whether there may also be mould inside the unit. There was a slightly musty smell in my room (we had two rooms). Luckily, as it was winter, we mostly used the fan, but this does need addressing. English proficiency among staff was quite limited overall. Orn was great, but in general communication was difficult. I noticed this at another hotel in Chiang Mai as well, so it may not be specific to this resort. On the positive side: the small gym was excellent and open 24 hours, with clean air conditioning. The bathroom had a great toilet bottom-wash-hose with good pressure, clean towels and sheets, bathrobes, a chain lock on the door for extra security, and a filtered water station. Would we stay again? Probably not. The main reason we chose this resort was the vibe – friendliness and feeling taken care of – but it felt more like a serviced apartment where you provide your own hospitality, apart from the restaurants and generally good (but inconsistent) housekeeping. That said, it is aesthetically beautiful, and being able to eat anything without concern was a huge plus. It would also be great to have hotel transport available during the day, not just for airport transfers, so guests can move around in a trusted vehicle. The airport pickup could have been more welcoming and smiling and the wai. The food is exceptional. Moreganic is often empty, likely because prices are around 60% higher than local restaurants, but we really enjoyed our meals there, at breakfast, and via room service. The app-based room service worked very well and delivery was fast. I noticed the pool-access rooms and feel they lack privacy, as other pool guests can sit right outside. My jacuzzi jets also didn’t work. I don’t enjoy giving critical feedback, but I didn’t receive a post-stay feedback email, so this felt like the appropriate place to share it. With staff warmth improved, housekeeping consistency tightened, the music changed, and maintenance issues addressed, this would easily be a full-star stay for me. A fully vegan resort is truly special and unique, and the concept is wonderful. We stayed about 26 days after the Queen’s passing, which may have influenced the atmosphere. P.S. There are some lovely temples nearby, including Wat Mahawan, and others just across the road. All are about a three-minute walk from the resort. There’s also a great jewellery store close by called “I Do I Design.”

GGuest UserBella Nara Hotel Chiang Mai is located near the Nimman Road shopping area, with a Ctrip rating of 4.5 and an Agoda rating of 8.9. After experiencing it firsthand, at 600 RMB per night without breakfast, the value for money is just so-so. ✅Pros: • The location is pretty good, about a 10-minute walk to Nimman One, perfect for tourists who want to spend time in the Nimman Road area. • The overall style is nice, a blend of Lanna and colonial styles, which gives it a distinctive local feel. • There's a free, independent underground parking lot, making parking very convenient. • It has a swimming pool. ❌Cons: • The soundproofing is terrible. You can hear conversations from next door, the sound of luggage being pulled down the hallway, and motorbikes from the street – everything. The hotel is aware of its poor soundproofing and provides disposable earplugs. • The shower pressure is extremely strong, but the drainage can't keep up, so you have to manually reduce the water flow. • The room's blackout isn't great. The wooden blinds let in light during the day, so those sensitive to light might need an eye mask to sleep. • While the front desk staff are friendly, the hotel generally seems to distrust its guests. The room is filled with warnings about fines for 'doing XX things.' The most absurd part is that upon check-out, you have to wait a few minutes at the front desk for the hotel to inspect the room before you're allowed to leave.

GGuest UserI love creating reviews and social content — especially about ryokan-style stays and onsen experiences. There may be more ryokans in Thailand now, but when a friend recommended Chez Nij Ryokan Onsen, I was genuinely impressed from the moment I arrived. The blend of Thai, Japanese, and French influences is beautifully unique. Even more special is the history — this was once the residence of the former Governor of Chiang Mai. The house is filled with antiques, charm, and character. Stepping inside feels warm, welcoming, and truly homely. The owner, a doctor and grandson of the former governor, personally cares for guests and shared meaningful stories about the residence — an honor I won’t forget. Location-wise, it’s peaceful yet convenient. Nimmanhaemin Road is only 8 minutes away, perfect for dining and shopping. Even returning around 1 AM, the owner and night manager were still there to welcome me. The alley is well lit, quiet, and safe, with another hotel and a tennis court next door. A 7-Eleven is just a 5-minute walk away on the main road. I stayed in the Studio Room with onsen access — incredibly private and peaceful. The tatami design is beautiful, the bed unbelievably soft, and the air quality excellent (my usual dust allergies improved after just one night). The complimentary minibar was a lovely bonus. Direct onsen access from the room is available in the morning only. During female and male sessions, the private door is securely locked and entry is through the changing room — a very safe and thoughtful system. The open-air onsen is stunning — inspired by the winter sea of Hokkaido and said to be one of the largest in Chiang Mai. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are outstanding. The mineral water left my skin noticeably smoother and deeply hydrated, unlike other onsens I’ve tried. The schedule is very well organized, with separate time slots and thorough cleaning between sessions. I checked in at 3 PM and immediately enjoyed the women’s session. After 5:30 PM, guests are asked to leave for routine cleaning and to dry off properly to prevent slipping — a clear reflection of their commitment to safety and hygiene. Soaking at 7:30 AM in the cool morning air truly felt like having a private hot spring. Breakfast is served as a generous full set — so abundant I couldn’t finish it all — yet the staff still offered more. Everything was delicious, and the chef personally came to serve and chat, adding such a thoughtful touch. In the evening, a complimentary mini tea set (9–10 PM) made the stay even more charming. I wrote this from the heart to reflect the genuine care I received. It was absolutely worth it, and I’m so glad I followed my friend’s recommendation. I’ll definitely return to Chez Nij whenever I’m back in Chiang Mai.

PPawee Bank NontamongkoltornStaff: Mostly friendly and professional, except few. I asked the female staff for early check-in and left my luggage at the designated place. Then, she said, “No, you have to wait until 14:00”. Immediately after her response, the male staff approached me and processed it. He also allowed me to change room without any charge and to store my luggage in the room, instead of the designated area. Room: For those who like 80s-90s vibe, this is for you, and me too. The AC is loud and cleaned. The ceiling, on the other hand, has strains from water. The curtain has a strain that looks like either blood or coffee. The wall looks unpolished, creating a running down impression of the hotel. The socket, TV, lift, and fridge are functional, fortunately. 2 bottles of water are set by the hotel standard. Please clean up those strains and walls. Bathroom: It contains dusts on the ventilation fan’s cover. There is mold strain on the wall that could be mistaken as black mold initially. Please clean up it as it could evolve to such in the future. Location: Not far away from the pubs, so music can get loud inside the room as it has poor soundproof. Unless you don’t mind the sound, or want to stay away from the city centre, go for it.

DDr. WechI’ve noticed this hotel offering discounted promotions quite often, but I hesitated to book after reading some of the older reviews on Google Maps. However, a friend of mine recently stayed here and told me that if you get a room in the new building, it’s actually very nice and not like what those old reviews described. So, I decided to give it a try myself. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised. The parking area was clean and spacious. Before reaching the lobby, you’ll see the hotel’s café, which at first looks like a separate space, but it’s actually connected to the lobby with a confusing separate entrance. The entrance and lobby area were tidy and welcoming. The hallways, elevators, and stairs were all well-maintained. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, and the balcony was surprisingly large. Overall, the stay felt relaxing and restful. I genuinely slept well here. However, I have to deduct one star for a few things that could definitely be improved. 1. Deposit Policy During check-in, guests are required to leave a 500 THB deposit. That’s quite standard in Chiang Mai, so I don’t mind that part. But guests must keep the physical receipt to get the deposit back. If you lose it, you won’t be refunded. Honestly, this feels unnecessary. Why not just record the deposit in the system? It would be much more convenient for everyone. 2. Wi-Fi Access The Wi-Fi process was really inconvenient. To get the password, guests have to add the hotel’s official LINE account, send their phone number, and then wait for a reply from staff through chat. Nobody replied to my message, and even after I finished taking a shower, still no response. I had to go down to the lobby to ask in person. I don’t understand why they make it so complicated. Just post the password somewhere visible. What if international guests don’t have LINE? Every hotel offers free Wi-Fi nowadays without making it a hassle. 3. Swimming Pool Hours When I asked the staff what time the pool opens in the morning, I was told that it depends on when cleaning is finished. That’s not a proper answer. Guests should know the exact opening hours, especially since the pool is one of the amenities highlighted in the booking description. I’ve written all this in detail because, overall, I do like this hotel. It has a lot of potential. I understand it’s a budget-friendly place, and I don’t expect perfection, but with a few small improvements, it could easily become one of the best-value stays in Chiang Mai. For travelers who care about cleanliness, comfort, and affordability, B2 Resort Boutique & Budget Hotel is still a solid choice. Just be sure to request a room in the new building.
