"The hotel’s location is quite good, with many restaurants nearby and convenient access to key areas of the city. However, the condition of the room was rather poor and felt old. The curtains were damaged and couldn’t close properly, allowing light to enter. The sink had not been cleaned thoroughly, and there was a used bar of soap with hair stuck to it left in the shower. There were also strands of hair from previous guests found in the bathroom."

"The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel service was excellent. I took a two-day yoga class which was taught exceptionally well, and the hotel's massage service was top-notch 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. This trip was very relaxing for both my body and mind, and I will definitely come again next time 😎. The only slight drawback was that the room was a bit humid, but there was a dehumidifier, so it was acceptable. The hotel restaurant food was also great, the coffee was good, and they even offered welcome drinks!"

"We stayed in the River View Deluxe Balcony room and had a wonderful stay. The room felt spacious, beautifully maintained and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. What truly stood out was the warm hospitality. Every staff member was friendly, attentive and always ready to help with a genuine smile. Housekeeping also kept everything immaculate throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a lovely à la carte selection and the option to enjoy it either in the restaurant or from the comfort of the room. The location strikes a great balance, peaceful and relaxed along the riverside, yet still within easy walking distance of the markets across the bridge. I had a wonderful stay at Sala Lanna!"

"Just checked out of Maladee Rendezvous Hotel Chiang Mai after a 2-day, 1-night stay, and I’m quickly jotting down my thoughts while the memories are still fresh. To sum it up: the service was so good it almost felt a little overwhelming, details fanatics will go wild, but there were a few minor flaws. 🤝 Service is absolutely top-notch From the moment we stepped in, staff members rushed out with smiles to help with our luggage, saying it felt like visiting a friend's house – that's how warm and welcoming they were. During check-in, we sat on a sofa and enjoyed pandan iced tea, and a lovely lady who spoke Chinese gave us a tour of the entire hotel, explaining each facility in great detail. The next day, my mom couldn't figure out the bathroom faucet, and someone from the front desk came up to show her within 3 minutes – excellent attitude. 🛏️ Room is spacious, but the AC is a bit weak The room was indeed very spacious, with a balcony overlooking the pool, which my mom loved. However, my dad said that even with the AC on full blast, it was only slightly cool, and he felt a bit stuffy in the middle of the night, needing to turn on the fan to feel comfortable. Also, the TV was noticeably old, and the picture quality wasn't high-definition. But the mattress and pillows were very comfortable; my mom said she slept soundly through the night. 🍳 Breakfast remains a highlight They raved about the breakfast, which was cooked to order. We ordered mango sticky rice and Thai fish ball noodles, and they were so delicious we wanted to have more. The fruits at the buffet were also very fresh. Plus, there was complimentary afternoon tea, and my mom said the cheesecake was better than many coffee shops outside. 🏊 Pool is beautiful, but not much time to use it The pool area was gorgeous, but they said it was too sunny in the morning, and in the afternoon, they were out sightseeing. In the end, they only dipped into the warm pool briefly. They didn't visit the gym because it was too small, with only a few machines. 📍 Location issue They also mentioned that the hotel isn't close to the city center. Every time they wanted to go to Nimman Road, they had to take a Grab, which cost about 200 baht. However, the hotel offered a free shuttle to the Old City, but it required coordinating schedules. 💬 Conclusion Overall, my mom was satisfied with the service and environment, but the AC and TV were the two hardware aspects that gave her pause. If the hotel were to replace the old TV and improve the AC, she said she would definitely stay again next time. But as it stands, she would advise those with high AC requirements to inquire about the room type beforehand, otherwise, sleeping at night might be a bit uncomfortable. "Honestly, the bathroom in the basic room type was quite small, and the water quality was just average; my shower head turned a bit yellow. Overall, the room hygiene was good, and the front desk staff were very friendly. Upon check-in, we received drink vouchers that could be used at the lounge on the first floor, but the selection was quite limited. The breakfast was decent, nothing spectacular, but it had all the essentials. The hotel's location is very convenient. Just a short walk through the alley next to it leads to the Chang Klan Night Bazaar, and it's not far from the Michelin-starred restaurant Ekachan. We stayed here for two nights, and then moved to the Old City for the remaining two nights. Due to time constraints, we didn't get to visit the rooftop bar, but I heard it's quite good. The hotel attracts a lot of European and American tour groups; every time we returned, we'd see tour buses coming and going. However, luckily, we didn't hear much noise in our room this time."

"Hotel is nice (in terms of rooms, location and cleanliness) BUT service is very poor. 1. we were not even greeted at the reception for check in (and even less for check out); I almost felt I was bothering the team with my presence (when there were people at the reception, which was sometimes empty even during the day)... maybe understaffed, but this is something manager should take care of, but no hotel manager around during the whole period (despite requests to speak to him). 2. rooms (of the whole hotel) had issues with water supply (either no water or brown color) throughout the days. Staff gave no feedback, explanation or apology unless directly challenged. A simple apology note would have been something at least... . Seems they had issues on water tank poor management. 3. breakfast suddenly changed from a-la carte (with good options) to buffet (with poor variety) from one day to another without explanation from staff on the reason. After push, managed at least to get scramble eggs. 4. still waiting for some kind of compensation (as my friend - who stayed during the same time - received through another platform but seems hotel still not giving feedbacks). My friend actually stayed in this hotel years ago and service was very good - but seems management changed with very, very poor results. this is probably my first bad review for a hotel but I was very frustrated during my staying and the price paid during new year was not cheap. It's really a pity cause hotel is quite pretty and has great potential, but with this poor service is a big no."

"The location is superb, right next to Nimman One and across from Maya mall, making it incredibly convenient for both dining and shopping. There's a restaurant called Nara on the ground floor with a great ambiance and delicious food, though it felt a bit pricey at 1000 RMB for a family of four. The hotel breakfast was fantastic. We stayed at Shangri-La for 5 days before coming here, and the eggs Benedict at this hotel were absolutely delicious. While the variety wasn't as extensive as Shangri-La, it felt very refined and certainly didn't fall short in quality compared to Shangri-La's breakfast. There's also a small pool on the rooftop. On our second night, we found a small gecko in the shower, but the hotel staff quickly handled it. Luckily, we're not afraid of geckos! There are many bars nearby. On the day we visited, Nimman One had a live band playing, which felt like it went on until around 1 AM. We could hear it quite clearly in our room. The hotel does provide earplugs, which would help a lot. Normally, I'm quite sensitive to noise and get annoyed and can't sleep if it's loud. But perhaps because I was on vacation and didn't have to work the next day, even with the thumping music outside, I didn't feel bothered. The band was actually quite good. The only minor complaint is that for the room type I booked, the air conditioning seemed to blow directly onto the bed. The next morning, my neck and upper back felt stiff and sore, like I'd caught a chill, although my husband was fine. The bay window is very large, and since we had two young children, each could comfortably sleep on one end. The hotel thoughtfully provided bedding for them. On our last day, we had an early flight at 6 AM and couldn't make it for breakfast, but the hotel prepared a very generous breakfast box for us, which was much appreciated."

The room facilities are well-maintained and feature charming local characteristics, which I personally loved. Special mention goes to the bedding – it was incredibly clean and comfortable, leading to an excellent night's sleep. However, it's worth noting that the hotel is located inside the ancient city, is street-facing, and the soundproofing in the rooms isn't great. Those who require a very quiet sleeping environment might want to consider this carefully. Also, the hotel offers a souvenir for leaving a review, but this promotion is only for Google Maps and doesn't include platforms like Ctrip, which is a bit disappointing."

"Love the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Staff are great at their prompt service with friendly manners. The breakfast is excellent compared to the same level of hotel. The rooftop bar is cozy and good for small group sipping. The most important for me is the room., great space & cozying with super convenient. The lobby is also serve snack & drinks at all time. The location is perfect for those who love street shopping, near One Nimman mall & MAYA."
