"I stay at this place for 3 nights. The housekeeper don't change towels even I put a tag in front of the room to make up and forget to arrange the amenities when it runs out. I personally give a review to the staff about this already. There is a pub nearby even you stay at 6th floor, you will hear the noise. Every thing will be quiet when the bar is closed which is almost next morning. However, the room is pretty big and worth for your spend. The location is also nice. It is nearby everything. So if you don't have sleep problem, I recommend this place is worth to stay."

"Pros: Very convenient location close to the Old City, with a nightly food market right outside, a 7-11 nearby, and an easy drop-off/pick-up laundromat about 150m away — which was great for travelling. Cons: The hotel could be cleaner overall, and the bathroom in particular felt like it needed a deeper clean. Overall: We had a large, comfortable room in a very convenient area for a great price. Despite the cleanliness issues, I would still recommend it if you’re looking for good value accommodation in Chiang Mai."

"We had a very pleasant stay at Sanae Oldtown Hotel Chiang Mai. Everything was great — the location, room, atmosphere, and overall experience were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again. However, I would like to share one piece of feedback with the management. One male staff member who wears glasses seemed quite unfriendly and disengaged throughout our stay. We rarely saw him smile or acknowledge guests, and on several occasions the trash bin was already full but was left unattended while he appeared to be occupied with his phone. While this did not ruin our overall experience, I do feel that front-facing staff play an important role in representing the hotel. A warm greeting, a smile, and being attentive to the surroundings can make a big difference to a guest’s impression. Even when everything else about a hotel is excellent, the attitude and attentiveness of one staff member can unfortunately affect the image of the hotel as a whole. I hope management will take this as constructive feedback, as we genuinely enjoyed the hotel and would happily stay here again. With a little more attention to staff hospitality and service standards, the experience would be perfect."

"Just checked out of Maladee Rendezvous Hotel Chiang Mai after a 2-day, 1-night stay, and I’m quickly jotting down my thoughts while the memories are still fresh. To sum it up: the service was so good it almost felt a little overwhelming, details fanatics will go wild, but there were a few minor flaws. 🤝 Service is absolutely top-notch From the moment we stepped in, staff members rushed out with smiles to help with our luggage, saying it felt like visiting a friend's house – that's how warm and welcoming they were. During check-in, we sat on a sofa and enjoyed pandan iced tea, and a lovely lady who spoke Chinese gave us a tour of the entire hotel, explaining each facility in great detail. The next day, my mom couldn't figure out the bathroom faucet, and someone from the front desk came up to show her within 3 minutes – excellent attitude. 🛏️ Room is spacious, but the AC is a bit weak The room was indeed very spacious, with a balcony overlooking the pool, which my mom loved. However, my dad said that even with the AC on full blast, it was only slightly cool, and he felt a bit stuffy in the middle of the night, needing to turn on the fan to feel comfortable. Also, the TV was noticeably old, and the picture quality wasn't high-definition. But the mattress and pillows were very comfortable; my mom said she slept soundly through the night. 🍳 Breakfast remains a highlight They raved about the breakfast, which was cooked to order. We ordered mango sticky rice and Thai fish ball noodles, and they were so delicious we wanted to have more. The fruits at the buffet were also very fresh. Plus, there was complimentary afternoon tea, and my mom said the cheesecake was better than many coffee shops outside. 🏊 Pool is beautiful, but not much time to use it The pool area was gorgeous, but they said it was too sunny in the morning, and in the afternoon, they were out sightseeing. In the end, they only dipped into the warm pool briefly. They didn't visit the gym because it was too small, with only a few machines. 📍 Location issue They also mentioned that the hotel isn't close to the city center. Every time they wanted to go to Nimman Road, they had to take a Grab, which cost about 200 baht. However, the hotel offered a free shuttle to the Old City, but it required coordinating schedules. 💬 Conclusion Overall, my mom was satisfied with the service and environment, but the AC and TV were the two hardware aspects that gave her pause. If the hotel were to replace the old TV and improve the AC, she said she would definitely stay again next time. But as it stands, she would advise those with high AC requirements to inquire about the room type beforehand, otherwise, sleeping at night might be a bit uncomfortable. "This hotel is located in the heart of Chiang Mai's Old City, right next to Wat Chedi Luang. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, making its location excellent. The free breakfast is à la carte (choose any 2 items), beautifully presented, and tastes great. It also includes coffee, tea, cold drinks, bread, and a coconut sticky rice dessert – overall, quite rich. The hotel offers free bicycle usage, which is very convenient for exploring the Old City if you don't feel like walking. Additionally, the hygiene and cleanliness were very satisfactory; every corner was picture-perfect. I had a great stay and hope to return if I have the chance."

"Very convenient location, next to a temple and near restaurants. The family room was spacious & the air conditioning worked. The room itself was basic. There is no kettle in the room, but hot water is available in the lobby. There is also no safe in the room. Lockers are supplied in the lobby, however you need to bring your own padlock. The hotel room and the swimming pool could be cleaned more often than it was. Overall, our stay was acceptable. The hotel has a basic breakfast for sale."

Those who require a very quiet sleeping environment might want to consider this carefully. Also, the hotel offers a souvenir for leaving a review, but this promotion is only for Google Maps and doesn't include platforms like Ctrip, which is a bit disappointing."

"First off, the place was genuinely spotless – clean restrooms, clean rooms, and a clean pool. Secondly, I have to commend the friendly staff, always ready to answer any questions and assist. I'd especially highlight the endless supply of tea, juice, and water in the lobby; I personally really appreciated being able to grab a hot cocoa or cold water at any time. The hotel is a quick walk from the historic center, about fifteen minutes on foot, but we also took advantage of the option to rent a scooter for more mobility. The hotel also helped with booking excursions, calling taxis, and other important matters. All in all, I'm not saying this hotel is one-of-a-kind, but the value for money definitely tipped the scales towards quality. It was my first time in Thailand, so maybe this is the norm, I don't know, but compared to various hotels in China in the same price range, it's night and day."
