Hotels near Bergen Art Museum, Bergen

At a very central location. I was allowed to check-in earlier since the room was available which is much appreciated. Friendly staff. The room is more like an apartment and has a great view over the city. I booked a reasonable price for Bergen standards which was similar to what other hotels offered for a 8m^2 room, so i felt it's good value for money. It was very clean and wifi was fast. I would appreciate some coffee in the room since there is already a kitchen and everything you might need, although I do understand.

Cute little hotel in close proximity to the fisherman’s market and about 8 minute walk to Bryggen. Was easy to get to with the airport bus (about 3 minutes from the stop) I was a bit worried about the lack of air conditioning as the weather was quite hot while staying, but it wasn’t a problem. I kept the dial continuously at -5, not sure if that really did anything. Friendly and helpful people working behind the desk at check in and out. Breakfast was a wide assortment of local and western foods. Liked the assortment. There didn’t really seem to be a worker whose job it was to clear tables as that process was slow. But there was space upstairs to eat. Room was very clean with big windows, but can’t see out them as they are stained. Bed was a bit soft for my liking, like really soft and the shower leaked out onto the floor, but I think it’s reasonable considering the other positives and the price point of the hotel. Would definitely consider staying here again if ever in Bergen.

Note: This is a review for Thon Hotel Bristol Bergen where we actually stayed. We were relocated due to unforeseen issues from Thon Hotel Orion. Location: Literally in the center of town and only a 2-minute walk to the harbor and fish market. Although it could get a bit noisy at night as it is located right next to McDonald's. Cleanliness: Cleaning and house keeping were very good. Service: All service staff was courteous, friendly, and professional. Since we were involuntarily relocated to a different location by Thon Hotel due to hotel issues, I must say that the change was smooth and hassle free. The booking staff of Thon Hotel was also very helpful. Facilities: Excellent breakfast services with lots of varieties. Gym room is also available. Room itself is spacious and adequate space for luggage.

The showerhead in the room was broken, and the cleaning staff should have noticed it during their routine checks, but they didn't. I had to take a cold shower, which is unacceptable for a hotel costing over 2000 NOK a night. The breakfast was also quite poor. I'm not sure why Trip.com prominently features this hotel in Bergen; among all the cities I've stayed in Norway, this one had the highest price and the worst service.

Nice! They got me the highest floor which is great, and special type room, love it! Most of the things u need are provided except slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste. I think most rooms can see the pier view. The first night, some birds, maybe, or someone shooting fireworks at my window making loud noises and I can see some flash lights out the window. Scared die me. Food: free breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was great, dinner ok but love breakfast more. Trip.com says the bottle water are free, but in fact they will be charged. I didn’t notice that and took one, before check out, just saw the pricing list(ｰ ｰ;) Location: a bit tricky to find the ENTRANCE! When u see the building, TUR RIGHT! To the right u can find the real entrance( the front one is no longer in use). very convenient, located at the heart of Bergen, the Bergen museum is next to the hotel. The fifth photo is very close to the hotel. A few minutes walk to the mountain tram station. By the way, u can ask the front desk and get the key for accessing the roof top( third and fourth photo)

The hotel has a great location, right near the pier. Although the exterior is European-style architecture, the rooms are modern and simple. The rooms are spacious enough to easily accommodate two large suitcases. Room cleaning was very prompt. The restaurant is indeed beautiful, and the breakfast is quite plentiful. The staff are all warm and attentive. Parking was done in the hotel's recommended parking lot for over 47 hours, costing 467 kronor. I don't know about any discounts, just for your reference.

In a place like Norway with an extremely high cost of living, hotel prices are truly astounding. So, even after paying a hefty room rate, you still need to adjust your expectations. However, the hotel's location is absolutely ideal; it's very close to the train station and attractions, all within walking distance, which is definitely a major plus.

For a tourist without car, it is in excellent location, 7 minutes to railway station to/from airport on foot with luggage n railway ticket just cost nok44 , walking distance to cable station to Floyen mount or Bergenhus or Ferry pier and shops. I reserved a small room but got a room of good size with windows and sofa. There are supporting staff in reception always and they can help me for my enquiries. They can provide electrical kettle at request. Coffee is free in lobby. Breakfast is also good , simple with good choices. I will reserve it if I will visit Bergen again.

The hotel is located in downtown Bergen, just a 10-minute walk from the Fish Market. My room was in a separate building from the reception. The room was very clean, but it lacked amenities like toothbrushes, cups, and a kettle. The coffee machine on the first floor was out of water, and I had to go to the building across the street to get coffee, which was inconvenient at night. The elevator is old-fashioned and frequently stopped on the eighth floor, so guests often had to take the stairs.

Since I wanted a physical room card, I checked in at another Magic Hotel branch. Maybe the occupancy rate was not high, so I was directly upgraded to another Magic Hotel branch for free. The other branch had a bigger room, included breakfast and was closer to the tourist area, very happy with it and really appreciated the upgrade.
