Extremely satisfied! From check-in, laundry, pool, breakfast, taxi service, to airport transfers, there's absolutely nothing to fault. All the staff, including the cleaning ladies and restaurant employees, were incredibly warm and welcoming, and understood basic Chinese. Every time I walked through the lobby, the staff generously offered bottled water, which was surprising – even though it's not expensive, it was a very nice touch. Highly recommend! The photos show the view outside the hotel and a screenshot of the front desk helping me book a taxi, showcasing their thoughtful and detailed service.

DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane 🇱🇦 | A Stay I’d Happily Come Back To I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane, one of the newer Hilton properties in Laos, and overall, I had a really great experience. 📍 Location The hotel is conveniently located and getting there from the Morning Market area was easy — I simply took a tuk-tuk. It’s also not far from the Mekong River, and some rooms even offer views towards the river. In case you book direct by Hilton website. 🏨 Check-in & Diamond Experience As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I was able to check in at the Executive Lounge, which made the arrival experience even more comfortable. I originally booked an entry-level room and was very happy to receive an upgrade to a suite during this stay. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. It was definitely a nice surprise and made the stay even more enjoyable. 💛 Service What impressed me most was the service. The staff across the hotel were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Ling at the Front Desk, who took great care of me, and Chit at the breakfast restaurant, whose attentive service made the morning even better. Both of them really stood out during my stay. 🍳 Breakfast Breakfast was another highlight. The selection was extensive, with plenty of choices, but I especially enjoyed the local Lao dishes. There were Lao-style sausages and fried fish served with jeow dipping sauce and fresh vegetables — simple, local, and absolutely delicious. I always appreciate hotels that include local flavors at breakfast rather than offering only standard international dishes. 🛏️ Overall The room was excellent, the location was convenient, breakfast was impressive, and most importantly, the service throughout the hotel was consistently warm and attentive. It was one of those stays where everything simply came together nicely. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. The accommodation is located in the tourist area. The location is super convenient, and the staff are incredibly kind. The building is quite new, and I love that the room, toilet, shower, and sink are all separated. It would be perfect if it weren't for the slight herbal medicine smell and the meager breakfast.

Very good location near the city center. The room was correct, enough for a short stay. Just be aware that if you have a luggage, you'll need to carry it up eventually to the 4th floor on very sharp stairs...

A cheap stay, good for our one night only. Room had no natural light and the lights flickered. Bathrooms were fine and mostly tidy, shared with everyone else. No shampoo or body wash in shower and no towel provided. Breakfast was fine, bread and some potatoes with egg. Super central to the night market and close enough to the Mekong. Good stay for the one night only.

The room was very clean and the breakfast was great. The staff were also friendly, and there were many Korean restaurants nearby which was even better. There's also a supermarket about 100m away, perfect for buying souvenirs.

The room was average, and so was the service. The environment and hygiene were decent, but the efficiency was poor. They missed my scheduled airport pick-up, and I couldn't get through to them on the phone!

The experience exceeded my expectations. The hotel's overall environment is quiet and elegant, and the cleanliness is excellent, with no odors in the bathroom. The bed was just the right firmness, ensuring a very restful sleep. The staff were friendly and efficient during check-in and check-out. The location is perfect, with convenient access to dining and transportation, being close to business districts and transport hubs, making it easy to get around for business or leisure. The room was spacious and bright, housekeeping was prompt, and the service was thoughtful and meticulous. The soundproofing was also good. Excellent value for money, highly recommended! I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip!

The hotel's location is decent, with a Big C supermarket nearby, which is convenient for dining and shopping. However, the breakfast is very mediocre, not living up to its Ctrip 5-diamond rating or its self-proclaimed 4-star Great Wall brand. I'm not sure how hotels outside of China can be rated by domestic Chinese star standards; it clearly seems like a self-awarded brand. There was a power outage in my room in the middle of the night. After dawn at 6 AM, I realized only my room had no power while other areas did. The phone was broken, so I had to walk to the front desk to request a repair. By 8 AM, no one had come to fix it, and the response I received was that the maintenance staff hadn't woken up yet. The room had a strong smell, clearly from long-term smoking. It improved slightly after turning on the air conditioning, but it still felt unpleasant. The hotel's hardware could be on par with a 4-star domestic Chinese hotel, but it's poorly maintained, and the staff's service is subpar, a far cry from the 'Dream South' service slogan. I will definitely not choose this hotel again, nor any other hotel under the 'Dream South' brand.
