"We have stayed at this excellent hotel twice and highly recommend it for its spacious accommodations. Offering very large rooms is quite rare in Tokyo, and as a family of three, we truly valued the extra space. The hotel is very nice, the service is top-notch, and all necessary amenities are thoughtfully provided. The room layout is particularly impressive. A door separates the main sleeping area from the bathroom and closet, which allowed me to get ready for work early in the morning without disturbing my sleeping family. However, we do have one significant concern regarding the shuttle bus service. While the hotel used to operate a shuttle to and from Takadanobaba Station until 10:00 PM, the hours have been reduced to 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. This schedule is very inconvenient for working guests. If I finish work at 6:00 PM, I cannot catch the shuttle and am forced to walk from Waseda Station, which is quite bothersome—especially in the rain. In conclusion, while we love the comfort and service of the hotel, the limited shuttle hours and rising prices may prevent us from staying here as often. We sincerely hope the management considers restoring the original evening shuttle schedule for the convenience of working families."

"The cleanliness was good, and I was quite satisfied with the location. The only downside was the terrible noise from the floor above; I thought there was a war going on upstairs (until 1 AM). Other than that, I was generally satisfied. Haha."

"📍 Location: The hotel is conveniently located about 500 meters from the train station, making it easy to walk. There are also many convenience stores around the area, which is very convenient. Although it’s slightly far from the city center, it was still perfectly fine for me. 🧼 Room Cleanliness: Everything in the room was very clean. The only issue was that there was a slight sewage smell coming from the bathroom drain while showering. Other than that, everything was great. 🛏️ Room Size: The room size was just right, with everything well organized and separated into proper sections. There was a washing machine provided, but no dryer and no complimentary drinking water. 💬 Service: The hotel responded to messages very quickly. When I asked for the Wi-Fi password via chat, they replied almost immediately, which I really appreciated."

"I brought a 24-inch carrier, a 20-inch carrier and a small bag, and if I open it and close it again, there's quite a lot of space. They provided basic shampoo and printing, toothpaste and toothbrush, soap, etc. Subway station, convenience store, mart, etc. were nearby and easy to move to other areas. I liked the view from the stairs up the hostel and looking out. I was curious, so I asked two questions through email, and they all kindly answered me."

"The location, room, and services provided are good. They provide room cleaning service every 4 days, but provide clean towels and 2 bottles of water on a daily basis. However, I would say their breakfast needs major improvements. Every day the same food was provided. We stayed there for 5 days and saw exactly the same food every day (less than 10 options, and this is including salad side dishes). The breakfast time is 7-9 am, the canteen will not refill food by 8:30 and also starts cleaning up the coffee machines, etc., meaning if you reach the place by 8:30, there will just be ice water and bread left. So if you want to book this hotel, better not to include breakfast, save the money and get something from Lawson / 7-11 which are very nearby the hotel."

"Japanese hotels, regardless of size, are indeed very clean. This guesthouse room, though small, was fully equipped and very clean, with laundry detergent, dish soap, tableware, a refrigerator, microwave, and washing machine—everything you could need. What's really ingenious is that since Japanese bathrooms are generally windowless, you have to turn on the dryer after showering, which is perfect for hanging laundry in the bathroom to dry by the time it's finished. The only slight drawback is that if two people are traveling, you should book a four-person room with two beds, as the space will be larger. A 1.2m bed is a bit small for two people. The first two photos are of the four-person room (two beds), and the last photo is of the two-person room (one bed)."

"Very good room, washing machine microwave oven induction cooker refrigerator is all available, very close to the tram station is very convenient. There are many restaurants around, there are also drugstores and convenience stores. The sound insulation may be slightly weaker but there is no noisy noise around so it is very quiet. It is not suitable for passengers with large luggage, because there are stairs in the building, and it is relatively narrow, not very convenient to carry up and down. There will be no one to clean in the middle, there are toiletries and toothbrushes, but you have to bring your own slippers. Overall a perfect stay"

"It's perfect for families, with a washing machine, dining table and chairs, and a very comfortable bed. It's a duplex, so while the kids sleep upstairs, the adults can relax downstairs and have a drink – everyone has their own space. There's a parking lot across the street; it's the cheapest of the nearby paid parking lots at ¥1200 per day, which is very reasonable."

SshzhkazhI was very satisfied and stayed here again on my trip to Tokyo. The breakfast was delicious, the transportation was very convenient, the staff service was excellent, and I slept comfortably. Suidobashi Station is right outside, and Tokyo Dome is behind it, which is great for shopping. It's really convenient to go anywhere from here. I highly recommend staying here when you come to Tokyo.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful 4-night stay here during my trip to Japan. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. For the price, it offers excellent value. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, making it a great way to start each day. The room size is what you would typically expect in Japan—compact but well-designed and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and the hotel provided all the essential amenities. Fresh towels were replaced daily, along with two complimentary bottles of water. One thoughtful touch I really appreciated was the housekeeping service. Even when we put up the ”Do Not Disturb” sign, they fully respected our privacy and never entered the room. Instead, they hung fresh towels and bottled water on our door every day. The hotel also displayed the daily weather forecast at the reception, which was very helpful when planning our itinerary. On the day we checked out, it was raining. The receptionist patiently showed us how to get to the Skyliner through the underground station so we could avoid walking in the rain. Their kindness and excellent service truly left a lasting impression. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness, service, and value for money. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Japan. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThough small, this hotel has everything you need. Its Ginza location is incredibly convenient, perfect for shopping or quickly getting to Narita Airport via the expressway. What truly impressed me is how many features are packed into such a compact space. They have a coin-operated laundry and a large public bath. The room, which I'd estimate at about 20 square meters, even managed to fit bunk beds (1.2m/1.5m), making it very family-friendly. A minor point is that since the hotel is directly above the subway, you occasionally feel vibrations as trains pass. This led to a funny moment when an actual earthquake hit at night, and I initially thought it was just another train going by!

GGuest User• located at the furthest exit from the Ikebukuro train station. have to walk about 10-15 minutes to get to the Yamanote line. the surrounding is also filled with a lot of sus shops, with girls standing around at night holding papers and shouting at men. if you’re a female they won’t bother you but if you’re a guy stay safe.  • at night can hear some shouting from the street as well.  • good; have Refa hair dryer, hair wash etc. there’s also a laundry machine, microwave, etc. which was really nice. • space wise, I think that it is very spacious especially for a solo traveller with only one luggage but if you have two, there might not be enough space for you to open your luggage.

GGuest UserI always have a soft spot for hotels with hot springs, especially when they have an outdoor section. It's perfect for when you want a quick dip without feeling cooped up if you stay longer. The room size was pretty standard, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a separate hallway leading into the room, which is a nice touch compared to other business hotels. To be honest, the location is just okay. It's a bit of a walk from the station (about 7-8 minutes, mainly because you have to cross the street right outside the subway entrance), so it's not exactly right by the station. It is, however, right in front of an elevated road, but the windows do a decent job with soundproofing. The biggest drawback with this type of hotel is that there's only one elevator, which means you can end up waiting for quite a while.

GGuest Useremployees and amazing breakfast. They had many vegetables + yogurt + all kind of meats (I really liked the beef) - really worth it for 2100 yen per person. My only complaint is that breakfast ends quite early at 9:30. It is very close to 2 metro lines (green and orange) so you can easily reach any place in Tokyo. There is a non-stop 7/11 at the -1 floor (you can take the elevator and exit through the shop). It has a very easy to use and good exchange rate ATM. The gym is like the typical hotel gym. Very small and with few dumbbells.

AAnonymous UserComfortable one-night stay at Shinjuku Granbell Hotel — great location and clean, modern rooms. One useful tip for anyone driving: there’s parking available nearby that you can either reserve in advance for around ¥2,000 per night, or just drive in without a reservation and pay by the hour (rates around ¥1,700 for 8 hours at the lot near the hotel). Made it really convenient for our road trip stop before heading north. Would recommend for travelers exploring Shinjuku by car.

CCarey LoyCenturion Hotel Ueno was a complete disappointment, falling short of basic hospitality standards. The deception started right at check-in: the room was explicitly advertised and booked as a ”Casual Double Bed,” but what we actually received was a cramped single bed. This blatant misrepresentation immediately compromised the comfort of our stay. The lack of care extended into the bathroom, which was a major letdown. The sink and shower area were marred by very bad, visible marks that made the entire space feel neglected and unhygienic. For a hotel that positions itself in a convenient location like Ueno, the absolute disregard for accurate room descriptions and rigorous housekeeping is unacceptable.

GGuest UserI liked this place. A pretty standard classic capsule hotel: sizeable capsule with a console, daily turnover service, large shower and onsen room with an attached steam room. Service was good: they have an army of twinks working there after hours, it was like being checked in by BTS. All issues I had with my capsule (broken lightbulb) were addressed quickly and cheerfully. Sometimes it kinda seemed like they were laughing at a few of the foreign guests, but you know what, fair. This place is kinda rules heavy, with lots of notices posted around the property. There is no eating or drinking in the capsules, and instead you have to go to this common area that feels a bit like a hospice for abandoned uncles. Vending machines, manga library, smoking cubicles, that sorta thing. Clean and tidy though, equal numbers of dudes using it for remote working and day drinking (I have a feeling that some ppl live in this place). They have the usual elaborate system of lockers and keys, but they will store your luggage for you while you are out. No need to check out in the day. Overall a chill experience. While I was staying there though some dude did have a mini breakdown about what he saw as it's shortcomings, so I just wanted to comment on that. According to him the place was disgusting. He was especially perturbed by the housekeeping service and the showers. His claim was the the toilets were dirty and that it was unacceptable to fold bedsheets on the floor. Mind you, he was having this rant at 10:30 - checkout is at 10:00, meaning that a whole stampede of airport-bound weebs had just taken spicy ramen fuelled power dumps so they could get out of there on time. Most of the day the facilities were pretty spotless in my opinion. In regards to folding the bedsheets on the floor, I dunno what in the Disney princess he was expecting, but there really isn't anywhere else to do it. I think it's unreasonable to expect little doves to come fly your linens into your capsule tbh. The capsules are literally on... the floor! What do you want? His overall complaint that the space was generally messy was a lot more valid. At this point I had a suspicion that they kind of segregated foreigners from Japanese customers. It's true, that the foreign floor was a bit of a tip - luggage thrown around, empty bottles everywhere, garbage. I went up to the Japanese floors to snoop around a bit. Spotless. (Pictures of both included for comparison) In this case I think the call is coming from inside the capsule, not really fair to hold the staff accountable to your own messy manners. His final gripe was about the showers - specifically the lack of private cubicles. Private cubicles were not advertised anywhere and Japanese onsens are pretty standardly communal spaces, so again I dunno what he wanted. Maybe a shower, with a curtain? Maybe a shower with a door? Maybe a shower with a psychic forcefield that would make his ex girlfriends forget his underwhelming junk and prevent his father from behind disappointed in him? I'm not sure. But I guess the dozen shower stations with soap, shampoo, and face wash weren't cutting it. In fact a lot of the Western guests seemed pretty pranged out by the shower situation, waiting until like two am to wash up and then scurrying around the baths with a hand towel infront of their package like a little purse. If you regret going bald, that's on you. Kinda silly, but if you are bashful maybe this also isn't the hotel for you. Unreasonable though to blame the establishment for you own shame. Anyway, that's all to say the worst part of my stay was for sure the ranting and raving from an unshowered backpacker while I was trying to have a lie in. Otherwise a pretty decent stay.

I was also very pleased that they assigned me a good bed upon check-in. The only minor drawback was that the lockers weren't on the same floor, unlike at the Ningyocho branch, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, everything else was satisfactory.
