"A Japanese-style hotel with extreme temperatures. Although the luggage has to be carried up and down the steep and bright wooden stairs, the old antiques in the house make life afraid of breaking up, all guests share the bathroom bathroom and hot spring ♨️. But it is so warm, the space is reasonably used upstairs and downstairs, and the 20 or so rooms are scattered. Comfortable hot spring baths, soft cloth tatami mats and the quiet environment in the store make people relax. The hotel operator is an elderly couple over 80 years old, busy upstairs and downstairs every day, ushered in, the 81-year-old gentleman not only has a hard body but also a super memory, every time the guest goes out, he picks out the guest's shoes and puts them in front of the guest, never making mistakes. Grandma is also radiant and kind, and she will not forget every word the guests have said to her, carefully and meticulously. The two elders stood outside the door in slippers and bowed and waved goodbye to us until the bus traveled. Maybe it is because of the fact that this century-old store has been passed down. "The hotel building has a grand feel, and the room was very relaxing. The breakfast buffet was well-balanced and delicious. I also think the staff's service was excellent. I was very satisfied with my two-night stay, as I was able to walk to Zenko-ji Temple for the morning service on both days. There's a Lawson convenience store just a few minutes' walk away, so I could even buy a late-night snack."

"First off, the location is incredibly convenient. It's quite close to the Zenkoji Exit of JR Nagano Station. From there, if you're heading to Togakushi, you can buy bus tickets at a small shop located at Platform 7 in front of JR Nagano Station. For Zenkoji Temple, you can either walk or take a bus from Platform 1. A taxi to Zenkoji would cost between 1300-2000 yen. As for the hotel facilities, they're perfect, except for the rooms being a bit small. The front desk on the first floor offers complimentary coffee and juice, and the coffee beans are excellent. From 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM, they serve free soy sauce ramen. The rooftop onsen is wonderfully relaxing, and they even provide ice cream and Yakult. There's a 7-Eleven right next to the hotel. Plus, the hotel doesn't look old at all. Highly recommend for a stay in Nagano."

"First of all, the two staff at the check-in counter showed a very strong sense of job burnout on their faces, and the whole check-in process was not very pleasant. However, the next morning during check-out, the ladies at the counter were very professional and everything felt fine. After entering the room, I found it to be very stuffy and hot. When I turned on the air conditioning, it was only heating. Since the weather outside was quite cool, I understand that the system is centrally controlled and set to heating. I then tried opening the window, but it could only be opened a small amount. For some reason, no fresh air was coming in, and the room still felt very stuffy. Later, I went down to the counter (again, the same two male staff from check-in) to ask if the air conditioning could be switched to cooling, but my request was rejected. I then asked if it was possible to borrow a fan, and they refused again with a very impatient attitude. Overall, the stay was not a very good experience. The room itself was actually fine, but it was too stuffy. I hope this review can be helpful to others."

"The hotel looks old and isn't particularly striking from the street. However, the Japanese are incredibly meticulous with cleaning, so it's impeccably clean inside. The location is also super convenient (there's a great ramen place in the next building). You'll even find some retro features, like a two-handle faucet and an old TV – very authentic. My only minor complaint is that I couldn't get the air conditioning to cool, only to heat."

"I stayed at this hotel for three days while exploring Nagano. The hotel's location is excellent, right on the west side of the station and practically next door. There's a bus stop directly in front of the hotel, and an overhead pedestrian bridge connects it to the station. After crossing the bridge, a left turn leads directly to Don Quijote, and just down the bridge is the bus stop for Togakushi Shrine. Transportation couldn't be more convenient. The hotel room was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options."

"The location is a huge plus, right opposite Nagano Station's Zenkoji Exit. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft, so I slept really well. My only minor gripe is that the AC vent was directly over the bed, and the airflow was strong and hard to adjust. It made my trip very convenient, definitely recommend it."

"The hotel is located about 10-15mins walk from Nagano station and is easily navigated using google map. Hotel provide luggage forwarding service and luggage deposit after checkout. Amenities are not provided in the room but upon check in, hotel staff will inform you to pick what you need from the area at the hotel lobby. It can also be picked up at anytime of the day. The lobby also have a coffee machine serving hot chocolate and coffee throughout the day. Pastry are provided at certain hour as well. One time free Sake tasting per guest where you need to pick up special coin from the hotel staff. Rooms are clean and quite spacious."

"The facilities are complete, the service is friendly, and the hot springs are great. The shuttle bus is a real highlight. The only issue is that it gets too crowded, so independent travelers should really try to avoid the peak check-in times when tour groups arrive in the evening. The need to queue for meals, especially dinner, needs improvement; it wasn't a great experience."

"L'hotel è in buona posizione, vicino alla stazione e vicino alla zona centrale. Lo staff molto accogliente. Comunque è un hotel un po' datato anche se ancora in buone condizioni. Mi dispiace non aver potuto usufruire dell'onsen perché ho chiesto alla reception se potevo accedervi visto il mio tatuaggio, ma la risposta è stata no, anche se era pochissimo frequentato e c'erano giusto 2 ragazzi giovani che non credo si sarebbero scandalizzati per un mio tatuaggio."
