MMoliaifenxiangI was really happy to book such a great value-for-money hotel! It's a shame the private onsen rooms were so popular and fully booked. We just took what we could get, and it felt like opening a mystery box. The sunroom was actually pretty good, accommodating up to four people with two single beds and two futon sets. We booked the 'one night, two meals' plan. We could reserve our dinner and breakfast times upon check-in and just show up on time to eat – delicious and filling! 👍 The hotel also included two private onsen reservations. We went for a soak at 10 PM on the first night, and again at 10 AM after breakfast on the second day, which was perfect as check-out was at 11 AM. The hotel staff were excellent, warm, and polite. We even met the legendary driver who speaks Chinese, which felt a bit familiar and comforting 😁 The shuttle service starts at 3 PM in the afternoon, and if you want to go to the shopping street, the driver will even take you there. I genuinely recommend this hotel to everyone!

EEdmund KeeHad my first night stay here at Sannomiya Kobe, took an airport limo bus to Sannomiya station and it was just a 10min stroll to the hotel, my previous japan experience was from AirBNB, but this hotel stay at Sotetsu Sannomiya changed my perception! Although I stayed for only 1 night in there, I managed to explore nearby places and even tried Kobe Beef for the first time ever! Hotel is super clean, you can refill the toiletries as and when needed, they are just right at level 1. Check in was seemless, check out as well! There is also a laundry service, microwave and vending machine at level 2. Bedding and cleaniness is top notch! Will highly recommend this hotel to many other travellers!

GGuest UserThe double room was quite a bit more expensive than the king room, but it was very spacious and clean inside, truly comfortable 👍 The front desk is on the second floor, and there's a lounge next to it. It seems like they offer free snacks in the afternoon, but we didn't get to try them. The location isn't far from Sannomiya Station, but it felt like a maze around there 😵💫 Plus, with the skybridge under construction, several directions were blocked, so it took us ages to find our way in and out every time 🙃 And we had to go up and down that complicated skybridge—maybe I'm just bad with directions… It's about a 10-minute walk to the airport bus stop, which isn't super convenient if you're hauling luggage.

GGuest UserThe room was very clean, and there was plenty of space for one person. The window could be opened slightly, which was nice. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Daimaru Department Store, and there are several convenient stores nearby. The hotel breakfast is served at the restaurant next door and is excellent value for money at just 30 RMB. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

てんwThis hotel is grand and impressive, even feeling a bit like a shopping mall from the outside. Its location is fantastic, right next to Shin-Kobe Station, with direct access via subway exit B3. Plus, you can easily walk to the Nunobiki Falls, which offers a lovely, fresh atmosphere. It's perfect for a vacation. As for dining, the hotel has everything, from wagyu BBQ to Chinese cuisine. They also offer borrowing services and luggage storage. Overall, it's highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserNot sure what has happened to Japan standard in the past couple of years but had called the hotel to confirm that linens are scent free (standard in Japan before) and was told yes. Unfortunately they are not, this new laundry detergent that is slowly spreading throughout Japan is absolutely horrible causing all sorts of allergic reactions (not only to me.) I start having rashes, compromised breathing, and inflammation issues. If it’s the same detergent used back in America, then it might be eco-friendly, but definitely not human friendly. I truly hope that Japan goes back to the way it was before the introduction of some western products filled with harmful chemicals to humans. It is not because you don’t react to it that it is not harming your body, it’s only a question of time and when it does, you won’t know why and there is no turning back. Take it from an Asian American born who was the biggest fan of American marketed products. We do have good products like ECOLAB, which is both, sustainable for the environment without compromising human health. Maybe laundry company should look into that company or simply return to Japanese products before. Good thing thing their pyjama are still scent free so I had to wrap the bed and cover with their pyjama to get through the night.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is really convenient for exploring Kobe, with lots of small shops nearby and even a large supermarket next door. Even though Sannomiya Station is still under renovation, once you get your bearings, getting around isn't a big issue. It's also easy to get to Osaka, as there's a direct JR line to Umeda. Kobe is truly perfect for a city walk. I'd love to visit again sometime!

FFairyflossPerfect quiet onsen resort to unwind and relax. The kaiseki dinner was a highlight and buffet breakfast offered a great variety. Onsen is not too big, not crowded during our stay but probably will if it gets busy. The room was a decent size with good air conditioning and being away from the busy streets made for a peaceful stay. The only downside was the bathtub leaked whenever we showered. Free parking is available, though it’s located underneath the property so it’s best to drop off your bags first if you have a lot of luggage.

AAnonymous UserThe hostel is very close to Oishi Station, only 200 meters away, just across an alley. It's a bit further from Rokko-dori Station, about a kilometer away. There are convenience stores and bakeries nearby. You can walk to Mount Rokko and Kobe University to watch the sunset and night view, a popular spot for taking photos. It's also convenient to take a bus to Kobe Sannomiya (around 200 yen). Compared to other hostels, the facilities are a bit older, and there's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs yourself. However, it's clean and tidy. The lady who checked us in spoke English and was very friendly. There was also an elderly gentleman there at other times, who was also very nice. Initially, seeing a 4.3 rating, I was worried about a bad experience, but the actual stay was quite good.
