Hotels near Papal Palace, Avignon

We totally enjoyed our stay in Cloitre des Augustins in Avignon! We had 2 rooms and stayed for 6 nights with family. Rooms are clean, spacious and stylishly furnished. Air conditioning is perfect and with all utensils for making meals. The location is wonderful with lots of cafes, supermarkets and shops nearby. Also walkable to all major attractions such as the Pont d’Avignon (the broken bridge) and Palais de Papes. About 15 minutes walk to Avignon Centre train station which is a bonus if you plan to travel to nearby towns like Arles or Nimes by train. Convenient location and nice rooms. Besides, the host Patrick and his wife are helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended

The room is located in a quiet alley. It is easy to walk through because it is not the hotel you imagine. The door is quite small. It is a converted residential building. The room is fully equipped and very convenient in the ancient city. The handsome guy provided good service and helped with parking. He drove the car to the door early in the morning. The service was thoughtful and it was a perfect experience!

This is a treasure hotel, the space is very large, clean and elegant, and it is very comfortable to bring a small courtyard. Very good value for money place. The service attitude is very good, can communicate in English, at least the two receptions I encountered have no problems. The hotel is a courtyard type, the reception will lead you to see the room, otherwise you will not find it.

I was bitten by 6 bags, and the other was bitten by countless. The bag on my finger was finally connected to a white line, looking scary. Stayed for two nights and no cleaning service. There is no living supermarket within walking distance. Fortunately, we purchased food from the last hotel and brought it with ice bags. The induction cooker is not enough, half fried and half stewed, and it can be considered to be able to eat. There is no serious kitchen knife and silicone shovel. The two men ran to the first floor for a meal, and finally gathered together the kitchen utensils and played pure water. The tap water can't be drunk when it boils, it's all water alkali The advantage is that parking is free and there are plenty of parking spaces. Closed management, there is a security brother on duty at night, full of security. There is also a cheap price. Hotel was nice and clean. It seemed to be renovated, compared to some other Mercure hotels which always seemed a bit older. Rooms were quite compact, it was OK for one night. They have a nice restaurant though with terasse with nice lunch deals and a swimming pool for those who are here for holidays. Not best location though if you want to visit the city center but with a car it's fine. They have also a big space for parking car for free

The hotel is in excellent location, right next to the train station and it takes only a few minute walk to the downtime . The room is a bit small and basic but it can serve all you need in traveling. Perhaps the only problem is that it doesn’t provide kettles and so you need to obtain hot water at the hotel lobby, if you like to make a cup of tea for yourself. The facility is a bit old and the door lock is broken. Other than that, overall the facilities are in order.

Located near one of the entrances to the old part of the city, the room was comfortable and quite spacious. The mattress was excellent, but unfortunately there was only one pillow per person. Hotels usually have at least two pillows. There was a built-in closet with shelves and a wardrobe compartment. In the shower, the shampoo and shower gel were in packets and there was no soap. Interestingly, we were given one set of soap and towels for two people. The hotel has a laundry service. Washing costs 3 euros, drying 2 euros. The finale is essentially empty, but it's there. The breakfast was surprisingly varied. Four types of cheese, stewed vegetables, and cold cuts. The hotel accepts cards and cash. If paying with cash, make sure you have the exact amount and no change.

Great location, just outside the Old Town and right next to it! Excellent service, and the guy at the front desk was super handsome and had a cool, confident vibe! The breakfast restaurant also had a very handsome staff member! Everyone was just so good-looking! The only downside was the parking, which was €13 per day. It was perfect for resting our feet after a day of exploring the Old Town!

The sheets were only clean cuz they outsourced the cleaning to another company who does the job well. For this price, you need to put your own sheets and set up your own bed, AND still have to send it downstairs (didn’t seem mandatory but encouraged). My ceiling walls were peeling, my bunk bed frame made of cold metal, and the tap was hard to control — water kept flowing out even if we pressed the knob lightly. I slept well on the first night but on the second, homeless people were screaming and harassing a girl, woke my roommates up and we weren’t sure if we should call the police. You’re better off another hostel. Breakfast variety was ok.

The hotel is close to the high-speed rail station and a 40-minute drive from Arles. A Carrefour supermarket is a 5-minute drive away. The rooms are quiet and clean, with a kitchenette for simple cooking. Purified water and sparkling water are available on the first floor of the hotel. There is public parking in the back.
