Hotels near Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie

I specifically booked the room because of the large floor to ceiling window. I was initially put in a room with super small windows, quite dark and I had to ask for the room I actually booked. Unfortunately there is a massive building and construction site right in of window! So, despite the room being really nice and comfortable, in that specific topic, the pictures are quite misleading overall. There was not so much noise from the construction, but the ”mountain view is sideways. The location is super convenient. The bus line 17 stops few meters from the hotel and connects to the high speed station. The cable to the mountain is just a couple of minutes walking distance. 1 person of the staff is incredibly nice and helpful and does everything to give you information and help. The other one doesn't speak a word of English, struggles to use translator app but also puts no effort. It was really hard to communicate. The restaurants below the hotel are good.

What impressed me most about this hotel was the laundry facilities and the rooftop terrace. Not only can you wash your clothes, but there's also an open-air balcony to dry them. If you come back late or if it rains, the staff even bring your clothes in and hang them indoors for you. This is incredibly helpful for families traveling with a lot of clothes to wash. I'd definitely stay here again next time!

We had a truly pleasant stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome with their kindness and warm hospitality. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect for our family. There was a good variety of options in breakfast. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

The location is literally 800m from the cable car entrance to Tianmen Mountain. The moment you step out of the elevator on the 13th floor, the ambiance and smell are divine. It feels like another world. You get a little welcome basket and bag with little snacks, fruits, cleansing products, heated eye masks and pain patches. Indispensable. The rooms are spotless, modern and really spacious. My first time seeing the USB C port on the wall. There is a ton of construction and the neighbours are noisy but they already tell you that. They kindly provided 2 sets of ear plugs for the noise. Also the lady at the reception is so kind and so happy to help. I had a splitting headache when I arrived because I had forgotten to take my allergy medicine and she helpfully directed me to a pharmacy, literally 200m away. Also she was so kind throughout the stay whenever she saw me, she had a kind and lovely smile. As a solo female traveller, this is something that is always welcome and I really, really appreciate. Makes you feel just that little bit safer. Although China is super safe. Oh and the bathroom, along with all the single use amenities, had a little packet of feminine products. I have never had something like that anywhere and it was such a lovely detail.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The owner is exceptionally kind, warm, and incredibly helpful, especially for travelers who are unfamiliar with Zhangjiajie. They went above and beyond to provide us with useful travel tips and made sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The service was truly outstanding, exceeding our expectations in every way. The location is also perfect, very strategic and convenient for exploring the main attractions in Zhangjiajie. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly, highly recommended for anyone visiting Zhangjiajie!

The hotel's location is fantastic, directly across from the Tianmen Mountain cable car station. You can even see it from your room, and it's just a short walk across the road. It's also very close to Hehua Airport, only a 15-minute drive away. The hotel service is excellent. They called ahead to confirm our details, and knowing we were traveling with seniors and children and requested three adjacent rooms, they arranged for rooms that were perfectly next to each other. The hotel's breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices spread across three different stations, and it was delicious. There are many restaurants near the hotel, all around it, and they're all local specialty chain restaurants. I highly recommend Zhaizi Li Bo Bo Cai and Fuzhengyi Sanshangguo, especially the Zhaizi Li Bo Bo Cai right next door – every dish there was tasty.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Tianmen Mountain cable car, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. You'll find many restaurants on the way back to the hotel from the cable car. Although the hotel is a bit old, the room amenities and service are good. The mattress might be a bit old, so it sags a little in the middle, but it's still acceptable. I chose a room facing the residential area, so it was quite quiet. The airplane takeoff and landing noise stops around midnight, which was manageable. Breakfast offers a good variety, including coffee, douhua (tofu pudding), beef noodles, toast, steamed buns, stir-fried dishes, mini wontons, and congee – a mix of Chinese and Western options. Staff were quick to refill items. My only minor complaints are that the hotel felt a bit noisy at times. In the evenings, I could hear tour leaders loudly calling out room assignments on my floor, and at breakfast, there would be groups of a dozen people laughing and chatting loudly at one table. While I understand this is common, it felt a bit low-class.

The location is excellent! There's a food street not far downstairs, and after dinner, you can take a stroll along the Li River to enjoy the scenery. The hotel is on the 18th floor of a building, so it's high up with great views, which I really loved. The guesthouse front desk also helped us book tickets for the Forest Park, arranged custom bus tickets, and even helped schedule our daily park entry times. It saved us a lot of hassle and effort!

This is a newly opened hotel, very clean and spacious, with a great location. It's close to the train and bus stations but still very quiet. The Tianmen Mountain cable car lower station is about a ten-minute walk away, making it super convenient for getting around. The hotel even gave us a free room upgrade to a mountain view room, where we could see Tianmen Mountain directly. It was so pleasant and comfortable. Highly recommend! 👍👍👍
