I came here on a quick layover,as I arrived late at night and needes ro get in morning to the train station. I chose this hotel specifically because of the proximity - only 8 min walk from the gate entry. But for one night the room felt super big and comfy, and everyone helped me understand how to get to the station.

This is my third time staying here, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations once again. The room is spacious, impeccably clean with every corner spotless, and completely odor-free. The mattress has just the right firmness, the soundproofing is great, and it was very quiet at night, ensuring a wonderful sleep. The front desk staff are polite and attentive, the check-in process was efficient, and any requests were handled promptly. The location is super convenient, right next to Taikoo Hui, with complete surrounding amenities. The facilities are well-maintained and the WiFi is stable. It's perfect for both business trips and short stays. Five-star review, this will definitely be my top choice next time!

Mercure Guangzhou Beijing Road was the perfect base for our trip. The location is unbeatable right in the heart of the pedestrian street with the Ancient Rd., Dao Temple and the Metro exit just a few minutes walk away we enjoyed morning dim sum at nearby Dodoo, Jew and Wonjo restaurant then wandered to show me an island and Yong Ching bang in the evening. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the staff were warm and helpful. Everything we wanted was within walking distance making sightseeing and eating incredibly easy. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommended to anyone visiting Guangzhou.

The hotel is very conveniently located, with attractions, restaurants and public transport right on your doorstep. However, there are a few things worth considering before booking. Firstly, the hotel occupies just one floor of a busy commercial building, rather than being a standalone hotel. Lift access can be frustrating, particularly during busy periods. The rooms themselves are reasonably comfortable, but be aware that not all rooms have windows, so I would strongly recommend checking this before booking. Breakfast offers a reasonable selection catering to both Western and Asian tastes. However, the kitchen is very small, meaning that even basic hot breakfast items such as fried eggs and bacon can take quite some time to be replenished, despite it being a buffet. Food frequently runs out, and guests often have to ask staff to top things up. I believe much of this comes down to staffing. The reception staff seem to do absolutely everything — checking guests in, carrying luggage, serving breakfast, attending the bar and providing concierge services. They are clearly stretched across too many responsibilities. On a very positive note, the staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. Their attitude and willingness to assist were certainly highlights of our stay. Overall, the location is excellent and the staff are wonderful, but the hotel’s facilities and operational shortcomings let it down. With some improvements to staffing and breakfast service, the experience could be significantly better. I’m sorry I couldn’t give a more positive review, but I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

High-floor view, the room felt neat and clean, with complete facilities. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around and find great food. The staff were friendly and welcoming, leading to a wonderful overall stay with great value for money. The lobby has a great atmosphere and is equipped with all essential amenities, close to numerous dining and shopping options. The hotel provides breakfast, afternoon tea, and late-night snacks. Right across from the hotel is Beijing Road, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Peasant Movement Institute Station (or equivalent local station) or Gongyuanqian Metro Station, which feature Line 1 and Line 2. Getting to places frequented by seniors and kids—like the Guangzhou Oceanarium, zoo, children's park, and Pearl River night cruise—is extremely convenient. The easy commute makes sightseeing much less exhausting. The decision-making and arrangements were spot-on. We stayed for two nights, and the evening staff promptly replenished bottled water and other supplies. They also allowed us to store our luggage for three days. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time, especially since I've already stored my luggage and booked again.

I first learned about Mandarin Oriental because of Leslie Cheung, and since the Guangzhou property happened to be quite reasonably priced, I booked a one-night stay to experience it. Let's start with the pros: The location is fantastic. It's right above Shipaiqiao Metro Station, with direct access to the hotel from the ground floor of Taikoo Hui. There are all kinds of shopping malls surrounding it, and it's not far from the Guangdong Museum, Canton Tower, and the Guangzhou Museum of Art. The young ladies at the front desk were very warm and greeted us with bright smiles. They promptly changed our room and even helped us with the elevator. There are soft stools inside the elevators, which are convenient for placing bags or for elderly guests to sit on. The room layout is quite regular, the mattress is comfortable, the linens are clean, and they didn't trigger any allergies. The curtains are button-operated and provide great blackout coverage. The bathtub comes with bath salts (though I'd suggest adding disposable bathtub liners). The welcome fruit was varied and tasted great. Now for the cons: The soundproofing in the room is poor. The TV and voices from next door were very clear (the woman next door must have been like a lawyer, talking loudly for hours into the night). There are way too many mirrors in both the lobby and the rooms, making it a bit easy to get disoriented. The body lotion is in a large pump bottle fixed to the vanity, which is inconvenient to use and impossible to take home as a souvenir. The tea is bagged; I'd recommend adding large ceramic mugs with handles or offering loose-leaf tea. Only canned mineral water is provided—it would be better to add bottled water specifically for making tea. All the drinks in the fridge are chargeable; nowadays people care about health and don't drink that many anyway, so they could stock fewer cans and offer them to guests for free. Finally, the highlight was the breakfast. Both the Chinese and Western kitchens were authentic—I polished off two bottles of yogurt alone. If you have time to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, you should definitely book a room here.

The location is superb, just over 100 meters from Nanzhou subway station, making it very convenient to get to Pazhou Exhibition Center. The room was cleaned thoroughly, and the soundproofing was good. The front desk staff were very welcoming. The hotel has a self-service laundry room, which is very practical for business travelers. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, and the prices are reasonable, making it very suitable for business trips.

What stood out most was the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. Every request was handled promptly and professionally. I travel frequently, and I can confidently say this was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. It's very convenient to go shopping or find food nearby, and being close to the subway makes traveling to various attractions both time-saving and effortless. The rooms are clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding, providing a great quality of rest. The rooms are equipped with small refrigerators, which are practical for storing drinks and fruits, making them especially thoughtful for summer trips. The hotel also has a robot named Lucky that can help deliver items to the room, which is novel and convenient. The front desk staff are warm and courteous, handling check-in and check-out efficiently, and responding quickly to any needs. The public areas are clean, and the supporting facilities are well-maintained. The overall environment is quiet, not disturbed by the noise from the surrounding business district. Whether for travel, sightseeing, or short-term business trips, it's a great choice with good value for money. Next time I come to Guangzhou, I will preferentially choose this hotel again. I sincerely recommend it to friends visiting the Tianhe area.

Was disappointed when I called for the airport pick up as the lady said No English! How am I supposed to book if you don't speak English? This was the 1st hurdle. 2nd hurdle was room TV wasn't working and how would I called for help if they don't speak English right? 3rd hurdle was breakfast from 7-9am. My flight was 8.30am They arranged for my transfer at 5am. So, do I get to pack my brekkie? Lady said NO So, I argued and then she showed me a papervag of juice and buns. This hotel is outdated from the outlook and was originally called Super 8 hotel Bedroom slippers was not new but rather recycled plastic slippers. Looks so unhygienic to use . Booked this place due to their airport pick up/drop off that's all. I'd rather book another hotel if you asked me.
