"The location is fantastic, very close to Chengyi Square subway station and bus stops, all within a 10-minute walk. Jimei New Town is generally well-developed with new facilities. The hotel is next to a residential area, and across the street are the Talent Square and a bike path, offering pleasant views of Xinglin Bay Lake and a very quiet atmosphere. It's also close to major shopping areas like Joy City and Seaview Plaza. If you're looking to attend a comic con, there's a civic square nearby, and taxis are easily accessible. For anyone planning to explore Jimei District, I highly recommend it, although it's a bit far from the island's main area. However, it's very convenient for Xiamen North Station, just a fifteen-minute drive away. Needless to say, the service and cleanliness at Atour are top-notch. They proactively clean daily, and a big plus is that they usually come after 12 PM and always knock and ask if anyone is inside before entering, which is great for late risers. Upon check-in, they offer warm tea; it was pouring rain that day, so a hot drink right when I walked in was incredibly timely. When checking out, they also provide a small bottle of mineral water. However, this might depend on individual needs, as carrying it with all my luggage at the time might have been inconvenient. Of course, this hotel being cheaper than other Atour properties has its reasons. Firstly, it opened in 2020, so some facilities are showing signs of age or are a bit outdated. For example, the bathroom faucet has water stains and rust (though not very noticeable), and its two-handle design makes it a bit inconvenient to use. Also, the shower's hot water system is quite sensitive, fluctuating between hot and cold, which really detracts from the showering experience. It seems to be an aging system, similar to what you'd find at home. But the most critical issues, which most people will notice, are the poor soundproofing and water noise. The soundproofing is terrible; you can hear every sound whenever someone passes by. Plus, since the window faces an open hall, if you don't close it, you'll be woken up by people eating downstairs in the morning. The other water noise comes from the toilet refilling, which is exactly like a common household problem, though easily fixed by turning off the water inlet valve. Other minor issues include very sharp corners near the entrance; if you bump into them barefoot, it's quite painful. I suggest they check this and perhaps install silicone pads. Overall, I'm still very satisfied and have a lot of confidence in the Atour brand. If I get the chance, I'd like to try other Atour hotels. Oh, one more thing to add: when it rains, the hotel provides umbrella covers at the entrance, which are removed on sunny days—a thoughtful detail. I'm just curious if they always use the same brand of shower gel? I recall them having a Japanese brand before."

"Visited Xiamen on June 1st with my child to see friends. Arrived a little after 3 PM, but the room wasn't ready yet. The front desk gave me coffee vouchers (the cafe is incredibly photogenic, surrounded by water on three sides with a lawn and viewing area outside – I have to say, I absolutely loved the cafe and their desserts are fantastic; if you go a bit late each day, you'll miss out. The SOE coffee beans were a bit weak, so I opted for an espresso). **Facilities:** The toilet isn't smart. **Hygiene:** Very good, very clean. **Environment:** Great location with views of shimmering water, cars speeding by, and exhaust fumes drifting. **Service:** Excellent, they even provided trash bags for my child's diapers. The room rate included a complimentary double dinner at Yu Restaurant each night. The portions were huge; even four people couldn't finish it. The waitstaff were very patient, and the manager was incredibly kind, even helping out with my child."

"This hotel is really close to Xiamen North Station, and even so, they still offer a shuttle service. The location and surroundings are great, the room was very clean, and the facilities were quite comprehensive. The front desk staff and the shuttle driver were all incredibly nice, proactive, and welcoming. The breakfast buffet didn't have a huge variety, but the quality was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time! 👍"

"I've stayed at many hotels in this area during my trips to Xiamen, and this hotel's environment and experience are quite good. Booking in advance also made the price very reasonable and affordable. The experience is much better than the surrounding guesthouses, comparable to the Ji Hotel. The receptionist was also very helpful and upgraded my room. The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel's default check-out time is 2 PM, but due to some delays in cleaning, an overtime fee was charged, which was reasonable and acceptable. Overall, a very good experience! Highly recommended!"

"This is a nice little hotel. The rooms are clean, and the service is good, especially the front desk staff – both the young man and young woman were very charming. Although breakfast is simple, it's sufficient and has a decent variety. Getting around by taxi is very convenient and quick, and it's also very close to the subway station."

"This hotel is located inside Jimei University. The lobby design is quite good, and dining is available right on the first floor, along with laundry and a gym. The breakfast is great, and they even offer congee as a late-night snack every evening. The laundry service is fantastic – you just drop off your clothes, and the staff will wash, dry, and deliver them to your room. However, the facilities are a bit basic, and there aren't many staff members. It can also get a bit noisy in the mornings."

"We stayed in Xiamen for a few days with our kids and friends, and the service was excellent from the start. A big thank you to the staff member who consistently helped us with our luggage when we arrived and left, and even drove us to the station. We usually stay at Hanting hotels, but this time we opted for a more affordable option, and I was pleasantly surprised by how great the room experience was! They arranged for my friend and I to be on the same floor, and they even upgraded my room, which was a nice bonus. The room was very clean too. The service and room quality were definitely on par with hotels costing 300-500 yuan. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a place to stay!"

The cleanliness and facilities are arguably better than even chain hotels like 'All Seasons' – the room was spotless, free of any odors, and all the amenities were complete and in perfect working order. Most importantly, I had a great night's sleep; it was quiet and comfortable. Staying here made my trip especially worry-free. It's also very close to the Xiamen Garden Expo. Highly recommend!"
