"The only downside was that the bathroom's design felt a bit unsafe. There was a wooden window that was closed, but the gaps were just covered with tape to prevent people from seeing in. When I went out at 4 AM to watch the sunrise, I couldn't figure out how to unlock the main door, but a quick call to the front desk resolved it immediately. They even helped bring breakfast and my luggage up to the room. The hotel room's decor was very unique and great for photos, but I didn't have time to try on a cheongsam."

The location is superb, very close to Sunlight Rock, and just a short walk to the beach. It's incredibly convenient for exploring, dining, and getting around. The environment is elegant and clean, and the rooms are tidy and comfortable. The sea view rooms offer an incredible view; open the window and you're greeted by the sea and lush greenery – so peaceful and therapeutic. The service is incredibly thoughtful. They send you the island arrival route in advance, and the staff are warm and patient, giving very helpful recommendations for routes and local food. Overall, the value for money is excellent. It's quiet and not noisy, and the stay was a perfect experience. This is definitely the top choice for Gulangyu, you won't be disappointed! 💯"

"The owner contacted us in advance with directions, which saved us a lot of trouble getting there. The guesthouse is small but exquisite, and the large green plants at the entrance made us feel so comfortable. People often stopped by to take pictures of the entrance, which shows how well it's decorated. The room was a bit small, but rooms on the island generally aren't very big anyway, and it had everything we needed."

"My friend and I stayed on the island for five days and four nights. I've been to Gulangyu a few times before, so I have a love-hate relationship with its old houses. While they're beautiful, they often lack a certain refinement, and many have that typical musty, damp smell when you open the door. This time, staying at Linggan Anyu absolutely blew us away. We were amazed by the impeccable service, the exquisitely tasteful decor, the meticulous attention to detail, and the fact that despite being an old house, the air was fresh with no hint of mustiness. The meticulous cleaning staff also impressed us. In short, everything was wonderful – it was my most comfortable stay ever. "The hotel's rooms and public facilities are exceptionally well-designed, with an overall high-end and tasteful style. All the staff members are incredibly warm and friendly. A particularly great experience was at check-out, when the hotel offered a service to transport our luggage to the pier and store it for us, which made our onward journey so much more convenient and enjoyable."

"We had fun around Gulangyu Island with the help of this hotel of course, they gave us a map which helped us navigate the island and have an idea of which places are nice to go to, let us borrow their stroller so I wasn't worried about not bring ours, as well as the beach toys for my son, which he had fun playing with, with the bonus that i didn't need to carry one from home. One of my worry about touristy places are which places are safe and clean to eat at with a toddler and they also recommended those with vouchers even. The restaurant area is a bit far from the hotel but that also played in advantage since there were loud music playing across that area and when you get back to the hotel, it just quiet and peaceful sleep. The staff are amazing and very nice, the room was clean and fresh, with toiletries for kids and laundry soap. Over all a fun stay at Linggan Jimoo. Thank you!"

"It's been 20 years since I last visited Xiamen, and now I'm back again. This time, I chose this hotel, and I'm really glad I did. The location is super convenient – it's a 10-minute walk to the metro station, there's a bus stop right outside, and taxis are always available. The environment is lovely, it's close to the beach, and Gulangyu Island is directly opposite. Getting to the ferry terminal is quick and easy too. It's also a great spot for sightseeing, with the famous No. 1 Zhongshan Road nearby and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street just a stone's throw away. To sum it up, I'll definitely be back to Xiamen in the future, and when I do, I'll be staying here again. Here are a few photos I took!"

The sparkling sea and warm breeze greeted me, and I was absolutely delighted by all the charming, retro buildings dotted around the island. The guesthouse itself is flawless – so beautiful! "YINXI Restaurant | Minnan Courtyard Afternoon Tea: Delicious! Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Facilities: Complete and well-equipped. Environment: Very comfortable on Gulangyu Island. It's great value for money on the island, and the actual experience exceeded my expectations, even better than some five-star hotels on the mainland. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Xiamen."
