"A Delightful Stay at Nanjing Guildford Hotel My stay at Nanjing Guildford Hotel was one of the highlights of my trip to Nanjing. The hotel’s location is excellent, within walking distance of Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple), the Qinhuai River, and Laomendong. It is also conveniently located for Nanjing South Railway Station, Nanjing Lukou International Airport, and Niushoushan. What impressed me most was the exceptionally high standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Both the room and common areas were spotless and very well maintained, making the stay extremely comfortable. The room itself was spacious, thoughtfully designed, and much larger than I expected. There was plenty of room to relax, enjoy takeaway meals, or simply unwind while admiring the river view from the large windows. The smart room features added a modern touch to the experience. Using Xiao Du, I could conveniently control the curtains and lighting with voice commands. Every morning, opening the curtains to the beautiful river view and morning sunshine was a wonderful way to start the day. Another highlight was the deep soaking bathtub beside the window overlooking the river and flowering trees. Combined with the waterfall-style shower and automated toilet seat, the bathroom experience felt luxurious and relaxing. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive. I had several parcels and deliveries sent to the hotel before my arrival, and the team carefully received them and arranged for them to be delivered directly to my room. The hotel’s delivery robot was also efficient and convenient, providing notifications before arriving at the room. Combining excellent service, outstanding cleanliness, spacious rooms, smart technology, beautiful views, and a fantastic location, Nanjing Guildford Hotel exceeded my expectations. "This stay far exceeded my expectations, a definite must-give good review. The hotel's location is excellent, making travel convenient. The room was spacious, meticulously clean, and the bed had just the right firmness. The bathroom featured a wet and dry separation, and the hot water pressure was fantastic. The staff were friendly and efficient, always promptly addressing any issues. It was very quiet at night, completely undisturbed by outside noise, allowing for a good rest after a long day of travel. For its price range, it truly stands out. It's perfectly suited for both leisure and business trips. I genuinely recommend it to everyone and will definitely stay here again on my next visit."

"Maybe it's because it's a hotel in a scenic area, and there's a lot of foot traffic. It took me almost 20 minutes to check in at the front desk, even though I arrived around 5:30 PM. At that time, my room was still being cleaned and inspected. The front desk's response time was incredibly slow. The front desk management here is the worst I've experienced at any Atour hotel nationwide. And get this: the gym and laundry room are in the same space! There's only one treadmill, a full set of dumbbells, but the laundry room is stuffy, hot, and the AC doesn't work. Working out in there is pure torture. Unless you have a specific reason, I wouldn't recommend staying next to a scenic area; the experience is really bad."

"The location is excellent, right in the heart of Fuzi Temple, making it very convenient to stroll along the Qinhuai River. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling area. The hotel itself is designed in an ancient academy style with a courtyard, offering an elegant ambiance. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the service is warm and friendly. They even offer Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) for guests to try on. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Nanjing, and I would definitely choose to stay here again!"

"Service: I stayed here during the May Day holiday. The front desk contacted me in advance to confirm my estimated arrival time and proactively helped me with my luggage to the parking lot. After a brief chat, my booked courtyard room was upgraded for free to a third-floor river-view king room. The Qinhuai River was right outside the balcony door of the living room. The staff also kindly informed me of the best viewing times and explained all the room's amenities. Environment: The hotel's location is excellent, peaceful yet central. The room was meticulously clean, and the public areas were bright and tidy. Value-added services: The minibar offered complimentary drinks, snacks, and two facial masks. The public area on the first floor provided a variety of traditional Chinese clothing for guests to use for free photos, including Hanfu, horse-face skirts, and qipaos. They were varied, clean, and suitable for women of all sizes. Breakfast: Breakfast was a semi-buffet, featuring the hotel's special noodles and Nanjing's local pastries and cold dishes, all quite rich and delicious."

"Traveling with large luggage was super stress-free. Xiao Wang at the front desk proactively helped me carry and store my bags, and storing them after check-out was also very convenient. The hotel is close to the scenic area, so you don't have to walk far for shopping and dining. The room was soundproofed, so I slept soundly. Xiao Wang's service was thoughtful and professional. Five-star rating!"

"Pros: The location is excellent, perfect for exploring Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple), and there are many convenient dining options nearby. The hotel staff even gave us wet wipes and tissues when we checked out, which was a thoughtful touch. Cons: We booked the Octonauts themed room, which my child loved, but the pillows had a lot of hair on them and weren't clean. Due to its location in a bustling tourist area, there was constant noise from shops, large crowds, and car horns until early morning, making it difficult to sleep. The windows were also very dirty; I'd suggest cleaning them."

"Extremely satisfied, far, far, far exceeding expectations! Great location, quiet, clean, and you can take amazing photos right in the room and hotel itself! This was the most satisfying hotel I stayed at during my trip back to China! My foreign friend came to Nanjing to see me, and we wanted to stay near the Confucius Temple, but all the surrounding hotels were either expensive, run-down, or tiny. My friend actually found this hotel on Apple Maps. I'm not sure why it's not heavily advertised, but our stay far exceeded our expectations! The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the subway station, right next to Bailuzhou Park, and even has its own water features and small bridges. The staff member (Xiao Fang) was super enthusiastic helping us check in. The lobby was also beautiful and quiet, without that noisy, bustling feeling you get in chain hotels. Afterward, a butler helped us with our luggage to the room and even brought us fruit. Our room was in a separate building, requiring us to cross a small bridge. The view was just as good as the Confucius Temple, so we didn't even need to go brave the crowds there 😂 The room itself was even more surprising. Our suite had an espresso machine, free water and drinks in the mini-bar, a bathtub, and a cozy little corner for tea. Opening the window, we could see the river – absolutely beautiful. It was so hot that we basically spent a whole day lounging at the hotel. After braving the crowds at the Confucius Temple in the evening, we realized the hotel's Qin淮 River view was actually better. For anyone looking for great photo opportunities, you can snap amazing pictures right here at the hotel. The breakfast served in the morning was also good. My foreign friend really enjoyed it, especially the freshly made wontons and duck blood vermicelli – he was very satisfied. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and will definitely stay here again if I have the chance to return to Nanjing!"

"As an established star-rated hotel in Nanjing, Zhuangyuanlou offers excellent value for money. It's incredibly close to Dacheng Hall, Zhan Garden, and Wuyi Lane, making it super convenient for a night cruise on the Qinhuai River. The surrounding transportation is also very accessible, which explains why it's always bustling with tourists. The hotel breakfast has a wide variety of dishes, with nice presentations and delicious flavors, carrying good meanings. The only minor inconvenience is parking if you're driving. When we arrived, the hotel's outdoor parking lot was full. The security guard insisted on seeing our booking confirmation before letting us through, but even after showing it, there was no space. We were then directed to the underground parking, which was a bit of a hassle to navigate to. And guess what? Another security guard there also insisted on seeing the booking confirmation again. Honestly, I think the two security guards, one upstairs and one downstairs, could easily solve this issue with a walkie-talkie. That's why I didn't give a full 5-star rating this time. Overall, it's still a very good hotel."
