## Review of Homestay in Tianjin / 天津民宿评价 I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful homestay in the 杨柳青 area of Tianjin, and I can't recommend it highly enough. As a stressed entrepreneur and doctor traveling from Shanghai, this trip was a much-needed break for me, and the homestay exceeded all my expectations. 我最近有幸住在天津杨柳青地区的一家很棒的民宿，我强烈推荐这里。作为一名从上海来的压力很大的企业家和医生，这次旅行对我来说是一段急需的休息时间，而这家民宿远远超出了我的预期。 The 杨柳青 area is incredibly peaceful, offering a serene environment that is perfect for reflection and deep thinking. Out of all the places I've stayed, this homestay in Tianjin stands out as one of the best. Many have posted positive reviews on the hotel which I generally agree. I would like to raise 2 points for hotel management to improve on. 1) Occasionally I can smell cigarette smoke in my room, especially at night. On Monday afternoon around 4pm, there is a strong cigarette smell at 16th floor when I went to do laundry. 2) I found a pickle on the floor upon check in.

If you have an early flight this is a good hotel to stay at as it’s only 15 minutes from the airport. The room was clean and the staff very friendly. My only problem was they had smoking rooms/floors and even though we had a non-smoking room there were some guests who still smoked in the stairwells. This is not the hotel’s fault but should be mentioned in case one cannot stand the smell of smoke. There is not much for food around the area but for a 5-10 minute taxi ride you can get to an area with more options including some western options if you desire that type.

This hotel offers top-notch service, stemming from its past as the Sheraton Tianjin Hotel, so the staff's training has a solid Sheraton foundation. They are incredibly responsive to every request. I always stay here whenever I'm in Tianjin because the hotel consistently lives up to my high expectations, never letting me down. The environment is arguably the quietest in Tianjin. The bar stays open quite late, so after checking in, you can enjoy a cold beer and savor the tranquility amidst the bustling city. The front desk staff, from the employees to the lobby manager, are all very warm and provide excellent service. They specially treated my room to be smoke-free, and the duvet thickness was perfectly tailored to my needs (I tend to get hot easily), which was very thoughtful and attentive. The housekeeping department even turned on the air conditioning before my arrival, ensuring a perfectly comfortable temperature. I highly recommend everyone to stay at Yan Yuan Hotel and have a wonderful time.

Extremely satisfied with my stay! The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the metro station. The room was larger than expected, with great natural light, and the cleanliness was impeccable, paying attention to every detail. A special shout-out to the front desk staff (the 'xiaoge/xiaojie' - a polite way to refer to young male/female staff), who were incredibly gentle and patient, and even helped upgrade my room. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and tasted good. All in all, a perfect experience, and I've already recommended it to my friends!

They had a crib ready for us, which was a big plus! 👍 The bed was adjustable, and there was complimentary water in the hallway for guests. The only downside was the breakfast; it really needs improvement. The selection was limited and the food wasn't good at all. Honestly, it was the worst breakfast I've had at a five-star hotel.

Special thanks to Fanny at the front desk! She was efficient, professional, and incredibly kind and gentle. She proactively offered helpful reminders and patiently answered all my questions with great attention to detail. Her excellent service really added a positive touch to my trip. I'm very satisfied!

Coincidentally, our last day was Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine's Day), and I was woken up in the middle of the night by 'happy sounds' from the next room, leading to a sleepless night. You can only imagine the psychological trauma for a mother... But objectively speaking, the quality of the Four Seasons is still top-notch. After exiting the subway, I got a bit lost and mistakenly entered through the vehicle ramp. The doorman at the entrance immediately rushed over to help with my luggage, which was a very warm gesture. There was a slight hiccup during check-in, but Stella patiently explained everything and was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. I even ran into TVB's Grace outside, and she's super beautiful in person! Although the experience on the last day was significantly marred, I guess it was a perfect imperfect stay.
