"I am writing this to warn other travelers about a major security and privacy failure we experienced at Duxton Hotel WA. Upon returning to our room at 8:55 PM, we were shocked to find our room door fully open and propped up with a wooden door wedge. Our room was located near the elevator, meaning our personal belongings and privacy were completely exposed to every passerby for nearly 5 hours (housekeeping finished at 4:30 PM). The most disappointing part was the management's response. They admitted the mistake but refused a refund, justifying it by saying ”CCTV showed no one entered” and ”nothing was stolen.” This logic is absurd. Security is about prevention, not just reporting after a crime occurs. Whether or not someone entered is a matter of LUCK, but leaving the door open was a total failure of their ”Duty of Care.” They offered a bottle of wine and breakfast, which we declined as it felt like a dismissive gesture for such a serious security issue. If you value your privacy and safety, think twice before staying here. A 5-star hotel should not have a 0-star security protocol."

"Don't use the showerhead directly, or the bathroom will turn into a pond. The service really needs improvement. They'll overcharge you if you don't check your bill. I booked two rooms for three nights through Trip.com, but they kept saying they couldn't find my reservation. On the first day, they said they couldn't find the third day's booking. On the second day, they said they only found one room's reservation. Since I booked separately, I had to reactivate my key card every day. The power in the room would cut out and come back on automatically, and the curtains would open and close suddenly, which really scared me. The room cleaning time varied each day, and they'd often forget to replenish water or take a very long time. Plus, no one answered the phone."

"Stayed here for several nights during my work trip and had an excellent experience throughout. The hotel is in a fantastic location in Northbridge, within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and the Perth CBD. It was also very convenient for exploring popular attractions around Perth. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed and good amenities. Housekeeping maintained the room well during my stay. The staff were professional, welcoming, and always helpful whenever assistance was needed. One of the highlights of this hotel is the location. It is surrounded by plenty of dining options and provides easy access to public transport. The hotel also offers great facilities and a relaxing atmosphere after a long day of work or sightseeing. Overall, DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge exceeded my expectations. Excellent service, great facilities, comfortable rooms, and a perfect location. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Perth."

"The room facilities were excellent. The location was also great, just a few minutes' walk to the river. The Indian gentleman at the front desk gave us a room with a partial river view. Everything in the mini-fridge was chargeable, but the bedding was incredibly comfortable, and I had a very good night's sleep. It was a very satisfying stay."

"The hotel room wasn't huge, but the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard – making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was definitely the highlight, with Chinese, Western, and Indian options… truly something for everyone! 👍 On the other hand, what disappointed me most was the attitude of the front desk staff. The male employee at the front desk wasn't very friendly. I arrived in Perth on a very early flight, so I went to the hotel to store my luggage before heading into the city to explore. When I asked him about transportation, he didn't offer any real help, just told me to look at the street signs. On the day of my check-out, the same male employee was on duty. My flight was at 8:30 AM, so I didn't have time for breakfast, even though my room rate included it. When I asked if there was a grab-and-go breakfast service, he simply replied: ”No.” As a tourist, I found his attitude quite cold and completely lacking in customer service. 👎"

"Overall, my stay was pretty decent. The hotel's location is fantastic, really close to all the attractions, which made getting around super easy. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly, which was a nice touch. However, there was a small issue – I'm not sure what happened, but my room wasn't cleaned, which was a bit of a downer."

"Excellent! Right outside the hotel is a grassy area by the Swan River, which is bustling with people exercising in the mornings. You get a great view of Perth city's night skyline across the river. The front desk staff speak Chinese and are very welcoming. There's a 24-hour supermarket just a five-minute walk behind the hotel with a wide selection of items. The hotel rooms even have kitchens, so you can cook your own steaks!"

"I had a great experience staying here before, so I booked again. This time, I arrived at the hotel late at night after a tiring flight. The front desk initially said they couldn't find my reservation. After searching for half an hour, they said they found it but claimed I had already checked in. I told them I was right there and hadn't checked in yet. They then spent another twenty minutes verifying. During all this, I contacted Trip.com customer service, who were very responsive and helpful; an agent quickly reached out to the hotel. However, the hotel staff were incredibly slow and inefficient. The whole check-in process took nearly an hour. It was a stark contrast to my previous, much better experience. Furthermore, on my last stay, they provided a full set of disposable amenities, but this time, there weren't even disposable slippers. I was just too tired in the middle of the night to bother looking for another hotel. Honestly, this service experience was really disappointing. The environment is actually good, and the location is right next to UWA. Getting to the city takes about ten minutes by taxi. Kudos to Trip.com's customer service; they were efficient even late at night and had an excellent attitude in resolving the issue!"
