All I could say was this place was wonderful. It was a short 2-night stay, and we really enjoyed how the accommodation is so convenient, centrally-located to all the things and places we wanted to go.
We loved the large living space for our unpacking and packing. We spent a lot of time together in the living space which was what we liked about traveling as a group.
Bathroom was clean and the shampoo bath soap and conditioner smells amazing:)
Check in was fast and front desk was very helpful when we needed the borrow the phone for local calls and also borrowing the umbrellas.
Had a great time !

The location is fantastic, right at the end of the main shopping street. You can literally just walk downstairs and you're there. We were able to walk to several attractions from the hotel. The front desk for check-in is shared by two hotels, which wasn't very clearly indicated, and I was quite anxious while waiting in line. It's a pretty big hotel with lots of guests, and no matter which building you're in, there's always an elevator out of order. It seems like they always have to have one of the three elevators shut down for maintenance.

The Junior King room was huge! The massive balcony off the loungeroom had awesome views both day and night plus an extra balcony off the bedroom. Massive bathroom and all was super clean. Room service from the restaurant downstairs was delicious and so reasonably priced. We selected the buffet breakfast when booking and so glad we did! Countless hot and cold breakfast options to choose from. Could not fault the room, food, service or amenities. Just pre-warning the underground carpark is tight to navigate but definitely manageable, I was just glad my husband was driving lol

We couldn’t fault the point hotel. The staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful even at busy times like New Years. The rooms are clean, well equipped and very comfortable and the roof top bar and restaurant were lovely. We will absolutely stay again. The only feedback I’d mention is the toiletries provided (soap/ hand wash and shampoo/conditioner combined were pretty average and not what was pictured in the advertisement. Otherwise this was an incredible stay.

The room was spacious and quite clean. The location is very convenient, directly opposite The Star, and you can even see the South Bank Ferris Wheel from the window. However, the hotel is undergoing renovations, so there was noise in the morning. Also, toiletries and slippers were not provided.

When I arrived in my room there was no milk. On Thursday night I went down to the restaurant for dinner at 7.30 at 8.05 I asked for a coffee only to be told that the coffee machine was closed. The restaurant was advertised that it closed at 9.00pm. On Saturday morning I paid $35.00 for breakfast and what I got for that was COLD Bacon,COLD Tomato and COLD Mushrooms. On Saturday night I went to the restaurant for dinner the only soft drink they had was sprite, at least three quarters of the wines on the wine list was not available. I finished my meal at 6.45 pm and asked for a coffee and again was informed that the coffee machine was closed
I went to the reception desk and all I got was a feeble “Sorry”

The hotel is really centrally located and handy. Staff are warm and friendly. The price is pretty good. The last few times I have stayed here, one of the (only) three lifts has been out of order which makes for longer waiting times and more crowded lifts. The hotel rooms are comfy but a bit tired, but I gather renovations are coming. Would stay again.

LLast TouristLocation & amenities:
The location is the biggest asset of this nice independent hotel. It's near Toowong shopping center and the shops and restaurants that surround it, which include chemists & a 24 hour 7-11 convenience store. The hotel itself is home to the Katsuco Japanese restaurant on its ground floor- famous for its good Japanese food.
There is free parking for guests, but the lots are limited (approximately 25 lots). There is free street parking along Sherwood road on the same side as the hotel.
Hotel design, ambience, service:
The hotel lobby is cozy and compact, with a small seating area in front of the reception desk. Depending on the day of the week & time of day, the staff range from invisible to proactively polite & are generally nice. There is a lift to take you to your rooms over the three floors that it spans.
Room design, comfort, acoustics: (deluxe King)
The rooms are decently sized- with adequate room for luggage and sufficient points for charging. There is an ironing board, kettle, room safe, free tea bags, the usual soaps & conditioners and moisturizers provided. The bathrooms are well designed with a nifty smart/switchable/ dynamic glass looking into the bedroom. The shower head is a rain shower type - definitely giving it cred. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable indeed- standout & remarkable. There are blackout curtains which work well. As for the acoustics- overall decently quiet given the location at the corner of a busy crossroad. Noise from the corridor does seep in depending on your neighbors. There is also the usual mild hum & grumble from the bar fridge & whine from the air conditioner. The occasional street car cacophony can be heard during the day, but generally it's quiet at night. So a good night's sleep is mostly achievable.
Overall: At the risk of making it more popular than it already is, this is a highly recommended property outside the city, with free parking. Will return if in the area!
AAnonymous User⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.8/5
The Swiss-Belhotel is my go-to place to stay. The beds are incredibly comfortable and guarantee a great night’s sleep. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, often going above and beyond to assist.
The hotel is clean, well-priced, and conveniently located close to the CBD, public transport, pubs, and restaurants. Consistently great service and excellent value every time I stay
GGuest UserOriginally booked a twin double room for me, my wife and our granddaughter as I was working in Brisbane and we wanted a change of scenery for my wife and granddaughter. Unfortunately my granddaughter became ill so my wife and granddaughter stayed at home. When I checked in I advised the hotel that only I would be staying for the two nights. Thinking Id help out the hotel room availability I said Id be happy to downsize, the receptionist asked if Id be ok in an Accessible Room which I accepted. I awoke at 2am thinking it was daytime as the room was lit up. Looked at the time and saw it was 2am then realised there was a large gap (30-40mm)under the door and the corridor lights were illuminating the room. After a bad night’s sleep I complained to reception who sent up a maintenance person who advised the door had to be like this to clear the sloping floor to the bathroom for wheelchair access. Poor design not an excuse. I asked if I could have my original room and was told I’d be charged for an upgrade. Told them I’d done them the favour originally so reception said theyd chat to management and get back to me. I was working late shifts and heard nothing back so had to try to sleep in the room again, packing pillows against the door base but light still made it in. There was also stains on the carpet, curtains also let street light in and when doors were closed in other rooms they clanged shut reminding me of a visit to Alcatraz! Little sleep for the second night. I feel sorry for anyone sleeping in that room in the future
GGuest UserPublic transportation isn't very convenient, especially at night when returning to the hotel. Buses often run late, requiring a long, hilly hike. Daytime buses are available, but they're not very frequent. It's quite a distance up a hill from the central area, and quite far. The shower in the bathroom makes a strange mechanical noise when you turn it on, but having two sinks is a plus. The bed in the room had some black spots, but it was quite large. It's just a low floor, with no view or privacy from the window. The second floor faces a busy garage. The next morning, my credit card was inexplicably charged over $270, in addition to the $100 deposit. I emailed the manager, but there was no explanation, just an apology and a refund. It was very confusing.
GGuest User⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall stay at Brisbane Marriott
We recently stayed at the Brisbane Marriott for my daughters 21st and were genuinely impressed by how lovely the hotel is and how amazing the staff were. The warm, welcoming service started from the moment we arrived at valet parking and continued throughout our stay. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, accommodating, and did their best to assist us.
The rooms themselves were nice and comfortable, although we did notice some wear and tear, particularly with the bathroom and bedroom cabinetry which was scratched and broken. The beds also felt quite small for two adults and made sleeping a little squishy.
Our biggest concern, however, was the air-conditioning. When we first walked into the room it was set at 18 degrees, which we thought would be perfect—especially with four girls getting ready, expecting a cool room so our makeup wouldn’t melt. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. The room felt like a hot box from the start. The staff were fantastic and came to check and reset the system twice, but by the time we returned at 1am, it was still extremely hot. It was uncomfortable enough that one of our group decided to go home because she couldn’t sleep in the heat. At that hour, there was also no one at the front desk to seek further assistance from.
We did mention this at checkout, as we genuinely expected that a well-known, reputable hotel like the Marriott would not have such an issue with air-conditioning. It was disappointing, as everything else—from the service to the overall atmosphere—was lovely.
Massive shout out to the male staff member who collected our bags both at arrival and departure (sorry wasn’t able to recall you name) you are a great asset to the hotel!!
With improvement to the room cooling, this would have been a fantastic stay. The staff truly are the highlight of the hotel.
KKonnorLady at the reception was very curteous and very hospitable. I would Have much appreciated that if it was my first time staying at the hotel , room was excellent
GGuest UserIt was a bit painful from the get go checking in. You have to go to a different hotel a block over. There is nowhere to park to check in. I called the number to be put through to a call centre that isn’t on site.
Call 1: yes you can park in the visitor parking just buzz and they’ll let you in.
Call 2: while blocking the driveway I’m unable to find a buzzer that reaches reception. Operator sounds confused, I hang up and someone is coming out so I sneak in.
Call 3: I’m parked in visitor parks, go up the lift and come out at another building. She again sounds confused. If I go out the door I won’t be able to get back in without a fob, so I’m asking which way I should go. There are no signs to tell me how to get to Ivy and Eve apartments. I eventually find a worker who takes me around to reception. Sorted. Or so I think.
I check in with reception. The girl was really lovely and informative. So I think, until I reach the carpark of the next building I’m staying at. The sheet of paper she gave me says “your allocated car space is 131 and is located on 55. I drive in looking for level 55, car space 131. Neither of these exist.
Call 4: Where is my carpark? Am I missing something. Keep in mind every time I call I’m asked to give all my details so they can verify my booking so by now I’m pretty tired of it all. She finds my booking and says oh yes you’re in park 55 on level B1. (See photo for why I was confused!)
I drive around the carpark looking for a 55. It doesn’t exist. All carparks are labelled with a sign saying Art house and 4 numbers. Ok maybe it’s the last 2? Nope doesn’t exist. After driving around for a bit I realise there are numbers on the ground of the carpark that are completely different to the signs (I didn’t look at the ground because the signs said art house)
So finally I work out that this is my park. Another confused guest stops to ask me where his park might be and I explain it’s the floor ones not the art house signs. So I wasn’t the only one.
Ok so park the car, go upstairs to room 1106 which of course is on floor 10. Makes sense lol. As soon as I open the door I’m hit with a wet musty kind of smell. Like the place had been flooded and not allowed to dry out properly maybe? I opened all the windows and when that didn’t work I went and bought some air freshener to hide the smell a bit.
We left all the doors open all night and next day and the smell improved. The lounge chairs are not comfy if you’re looking for a stay in watch Netflix type staycay, but the beds are really comfy. The place was pretty immaculately clean so that was nice. And washer dryer were great to have.
If I had have known I’d need to go through all that checkin at another building I would not have booked. Maybe I missed the part that mentioned this? Ahh well we enjoyed our stay in general, it just didn’t get off to a good start.
GGuest UserGreat apartment hotel.
Enjoy the balkcony, proximity to services, restaurants and parks in this suburb of Brisbane.
Didn’t go to the city( easily reached by multiple buses) because tired from an intense trio to Alice Springs.
GGuest UserLovely clean old Queensland building in a great location,
With a relaxed atmosphere , sit out on the front porch and watch the city start to wake up.
Will definitely be staying again.
