Although majestically placed in the heart of the Microcentro, or perhaps relying on this sole fact, the staff was one of the rudest and less helpful I've seen in a hotel in this price range in Latin America.
They refused to speak any other language other than Spanish, and when requested to speak slowly so we could listen through the porteño accent, they didn't. When asked about their room service, the answer was a dry ”scan the QR code”. When asked about what would be open (it was Christmas), they told us to ask around the street.
Luckily, the people on the streets were far more warm and helped us get around the city better.
The rooms were good and appropriately clean.

We got a low floor room facing inside, thus there was no view at all. You wouldn't want to open the window, which was opaque to ensure some privacy. Facing inside had an unexpected advantage, though, because you didn't get any noise from the pedestrian street out there, compared to the rooms facing outside.
The room card didn't work, and the front desk re-programmed it twice. Even then you had to place the card for about 5 seconds before the door would unlock.
Our room looked basic, but everything seemed to be there: wardrobe, safe deposit box, TV, small refrigerator, luggage rack, hair dryer, even reading lights above our beds.
The location is, undoubtedly, very central and convenient with all kinds of shops and restaurants right there.
In summary, if you want a basic bed/room on a budget, you are in the right place.

I saw cockroaches in the room, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was rather dark, so it was a bit uncomfortable. However, thanks to the location, it was very convenient for sightseeing and transportation around, so this part offsets some of the shortcomings. Considering the geographical advantage, I think I can visit again.

There are laundry, cafe, supermarket, small shop, several ice cream shops near the hotel. To find various restaurants, you have to go far.
At 11 p.m., there is also an ice cream shop, a Chinese Peruvian dish and a burdock shop.
The trash cans on the streets near the hotel are poorly hygienic, smelly, garbage is turned out, there are feces everywhere, and there are sleepers.
The hotel is closest to the Temple of the Virgin Rose. Go to May Square, the Athenian Bookstore, some distance.

The room was nice, and the breakfast spread was great. The price was reasonable, and the location is super close to Plaza de Mayo. I'd definitely choose this place again next time. Plus, the service was excellent; they were very prompt in providing anything I needed.

Great location, lots of space: there's an open courtyard (it's on the second floor of a three-story building, so it doesn't feel like a well), a large kitchen with a full cooking area, a work area, a chill-out room, and a lounge for hanging out.
The rooms have lockers; you need your own or rent/buy a locker. The beds have an extra locker above the feet, and there are outlets and USB ports for charging. The staff speaks English. Everything was great.

It’s an old hotel. The rooms are inevitably not that new, but the service is professional, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is rich, and the location is very convenient. There is a drug store opposite, and you can exchange pesos on the pedestrian street next to it. The price is affordable, classic rooms and clubs There is not much difference between rooms

O prédio é antigo porém as instalações são bem limpas, roupa de cama e toalhas impecáveis. Bom café da manhã e a localização perfeita, próximo de atrações diversas e acesso a bus. O melhor do hotel, sem dúvida, são os funcionários, gostaria de nomea los mas não é possível , foram todos prestativos e empáticos. Super recomendo e tb voltarei!

GGuest UserFierro Hotel is a true gem! The location is good but we took a taxi nearly everywhere. There are lots of eateries all around this neighborhood though.
The people at the desk exceed themselves in giving the best service they can. We arrived mid-morning, and we only had to wait a few minutes before our 2 rooms were ready. We waited in their dining room where they served us their amazing breakfast that comes with the room.
We ate many of our meals here because the food is amazing, chef-prepared. The wines recommended by their in-house sommelier are delicious.
The rooms are big with a fridge stocked with champagne if desired. Also a separate wine fridge stocked with several wines.
The desk folks have great suggestions for things to do as well as calling a taxi, English-speaking if desired. We asked about a dinner show with tango. It did not disappoint! They made our reservations, we were picked up and taken to the venue and it was great!
We needed a late checkout and they allowed us to stay til 2 pm.
I can't guarantee that on busier days the same accommodations to time in and out can be given. But we can leave our luggage safely if needed, even use of the facilities of pool, dining and sauna were offered after checkout.
I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. The only negative thing was having to leave!

MMun KaikThe room is equipped with kitchen appliances and all necessary tools for cooking. Overall the stay is wonderful, the location is perfect, easy access to tour buses, uber, train station and walking distance to few local attractions. The area is touristy with numbers of restaurants and bars nearby. You can also find many groceries stores nearby if you plan to cook. The check in and check out was easy with codes. The room also equipped with bathtub and bidet. I could say the best if you are travelling in group or looking for the best of value. They don’t have room clean up daily but they do come daily to check on you if you need anything such as toilet paper etc, alternatively it is quite easy to ask them for it if you need anything. Highly recommended hotel here. They don’t speak fluent English but overall I am able to communicate with them. Also to mention, the view from balcony is excellent. However, it is very important to ask in advance the requirements and your expectations because it is not considered a hotel, but more on apartment style.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel recently and overall I had a comfortable experience. The location is excellent, very convenient for travelers. It was easy to reach nearby attractions and transport, which made my trip smoother. However, I did face some confusion when I first arrived. The name on the building was not the same as the hotel name I booked online. This caused a little worry at the beginning, because I was not sure if I had found the right place.
Another challenge was communication. The staff were polite and tried their best to help, but their English was not very strong. Sometimes it was difficult to explain my questions or understand their answers. With patience, things worked out, but it did take extra effort.
On the positive side, the room was very spacious and extremely clean. The furniture and facilities were well maintained, and I felt very comfortable staying there. The bed was large, the bathroom was tidy, and everything looked fresh. After a long day of travel, it was nice to relax in such a clean and quiet environment.
In summary, the hotel offers a great location and comfortable rooms, but communication and signage could be improved.

Excellent Punto cafe across the road, a Western Union branch round the corner, police station 2-3 blocks down, lotsa grocery stores around you, walking distance to San Telmo market, location is Babel Studio’s greatest advantage.
The other thing about location would be Argentinian late night party culture, you may not get a good nights sleep.
Clean and spacious room, reliable AC, hot water and pressure, it ticks the boxes for what one would expect in a stay. The only improvement I would hope for is to adjust the shower head holder, I’m 6 ft and can reach it comfortably but for someone shorter it might be a stretch.
Also the monochrome design is modern and attractive but the white lighting makes the room feel harsh on the eyes. Warm lighting would do wonders for the space.
We did not have a smooth check in experience and was stranded outside for 15 min until another guest let us in as they were leaving. Would be good to receive check in info prior to the stay as the reception is not manned round the clock.
Overall a pleasant stay and highly recommend.

VVickie TehI was initially worried after reading some negative reviews, especially since I had a late check-in around 10pm. However, my experience turned out to be completely different.
I contacted the staff via WhatsApp, and they were very responsive and helpful. The check-in process was smooth and completely hassle-free, which was a huge relief after a long day of travel.
Considering the price and location in the city, I think it’s definitely worth it. The accommodation itself has a very creative and unique design, which adds to the overall experience.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend it 👍
