Hotel Sheltown Hotels in Buenos Aires

Hotel Sheltown

"On October 25, 2025, I arrived at the hotel with high expectations, which vanished within a minute. They didn't give me my assigned room, claiming a pipe had burst at 11:00 AM—something I was never informed about. When I went to reception, the person on duty treated me very rudely, with no willingness to help, and said he wasn't to blame for what had happened. Then they gave me only one option—the only one possible: a room steps from reception. This caused several more problems. At 1:30 AM, it was impossible to rest because a group of guests were having a party just meters from the room and from reception. After calling, I finally got someone to answer, and then, finally, I got some peace and quiet. At 6:30 AM, they started cleaning right in front of my room. It's a complete lack of respect that the staff doesn't have the slightest consideration for quiet hours."

"The hotel is really different from the advertisement; it is very basic. You can sleep there, but that is about all there is to say. The hotel looks old and worn out, and the swimming pool is a shadow of its former glory. The location, however, is excellent. My advice is to have breakfast at the small restaurant on the corner of the street. Having breakfast at the hotel is not recommended either."

"Very modern space. Comfortable beds but bunk was just ok. Bathroom was fine. If facing the street, a bit loud. Staff was really helpful. Very welcoming even late at night. A+ Breakfast just ok apart from medialunes. Loved the happy hour with a free drink! Kind of expensive (but this was a last minute situation so I had no choice)"

Milhouse Avenue ★★
"Large hostel ideally located next to the Obelisk and the main city squares. Housed in a historic building with high ceilings and an interior courtyard, the setting is quite charming. The dormitory rooms are above average in quality, with nice bathrooms. A word of caution about the first-floor rooms: in addition to the usual late-night noise common in hostels, these are plagued by the deafening hum of the building’s central air conditioning vents. The noise is relentless, making earplugs not just recommended but absolutely essential — even more so than in most hostels. On the positive side, the Wi-Fi works surprisingly well. The staff are kind, approachable, and full of helpful suggestions. The bar on the ground floor is a great communal space — spacious enough to hang out with friends."
