Room is absolutely lovely!! the bathroom was top notch too! overall a very good place to stay.

This room was booked for my father in law. He was staying by himself but it was nice that he could open his curtain and had some natural light into his room, unlike our room where were not able to get any natural light into the room and no curtains to block off the light that was coming through the screen. His room had a very decent size bathroom, bigger than our room. He had a good time staying here.

I really liked their bathroom – it was spacious, comfortable, and had a soaking tub. The restaurant downstairs was also very cozy and romantic, and the staff were very friendly.

The hotel is a bit of a walk from Kyoto Station, about 15-20 minutes (walking time with luggage). There are train tracks next to it, but the soundproofing in the room is excellent, as you can barely hear them. The family room has two beds and five Japanese-style mattresses. We bought breakfast from the hotel, which was authentic Japanese breakfast; the salad was delicious. Overall, it was a great stay.

The hotel was decent; the room we booked was very spacious and had everything we needed, including face and body products, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Housekeeping was available daily, with bottled water and tea provided after each cleaning. A small refrigerator was also provided, which was great. Drawbacks: the furnishings are a bit dated, and the soundproofing from outside isn't great because we were right next to the train tracks and could hear the passing trains quite a bit. The room on the tatami side didn't have blackout curtains, so all the light came in and disturbed our sleep, which was a shame. The Japanese breakfast was excellent, honestly, no complaints, and the dining room was very pretty. The staff were very welcoming and responded quickly to our questions and requests. They even offered a luggage transfer service to our next hotel, which was fantastic.

The room had a musty smell.

The hotel is great! King size bed - which is a huge rarity for Japan. The location is good, the staff is friendly, the room is clean. I really enjoyed my stay.
