The room is big~ It's very clean~ The bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas~ I like the style of the whole room~ The bed is also quite comfortable, and the bedding is clean~ The waiter and waiter are very enthusiastic, and there is a dedicated parking lot and laundry room~~ The gym has treadmills and elliptical machines, and it would be better if there were barbells! As a base for business trips, it is overall very cost-effective and economical. The company has booked a conference room here for meetings, and the room is within the budget. The service is very good. Both the guest room and the front desk are very welcoming and helpful. Help me if you can. The room is very clean and the person who cleans it every day is very attentive. The conference room was very well decorated, but it was a pity that I forgot to take pictures.

Exhaust fan in bathroom didnt work, no one was sent to fix even after calling and requesting the front desk to do so three times. Fitness room central AC wasnt turned on until I called in to ask... Seems dangerous considering none of the windows can be opened to let in fresh air.

Room is large and well equipped. Housekeeping very efficient. Gym small and the guy on the front desk is awful and needs replacing. Breakfast great but only one coffee machine. Location good can walk to Plaza 66 for good restaurants. Worse thing at the hotel is smoking is allowed in All areas-so you eat and sleep in a fug of second hand carcinogens. Yuck Eric Zhang on front desk did not bother to greet me in any way, kept his head down and avoided eye contact 5stAr? Nope

Checking in was simple. Friendly entrance and front desk staff. Room was spacious, clean, and a good quiet city view that doesn’t interrupt sleep. Bathroom is clean, minimalistic. Two sinks make it very efficient for a couple to get ready in the night and morning. Bed was also comfy enough. Overall, no complaints. You get what you pay for. A good room design that’s high enough for a good nights sleep and luxurious feel.

We loved our stay at the hotel! Below a few reasons why we highly recommend it if you want to explore Kunming as a tourist: - The hotel was great, in the heart of Kunming (ideal if you want to explore the city and get around!) - Breakast was delicious and with lot of variety from which to choose -The staff at the reception has always been available and highly helpful to support us averyday, as we did not speak chinese. The hotel itself is fine and were located near a food street which is insaleny good and nice. The problem with the hotel is that its quite old, outdated, moldy, it's not expensive but if I knew for the price I would pick another hotel. There is nothing crown Plaza about this hotel consider it a normal 3-3.5 star old hotel. I didn't eat the breakfast nor ate at the facilities so will no comment on that. Staff were nice service was fine.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. I think we have to keep in consideration that this is probably one of the more luxurious hotels in the city, also you get the prestige of staying within the skyscraper compound, the only skyscraper compound in the city. The hotel is literally next to a food street with LOCAL pricing and a large shopping mall with electrical appliances, a supermarket and lots of other local shoe and clothing brands within it. Not to mention there is an IMAX cinema! The room is large and the bed is super big (larger than king). The entire room is decorated with marble slabs, MBS level materials. Highly recommend you book the breakfast if you do not like or aren't that good with Chinese Breakie. The breakfast spread is pretty good, international and Chinese selection, canned drinks, bottled water. Try the yogurt machine's yogurt, pretty good. Special thanks to Receptionist Anna Ke for the special care during our stay and ultra special thanks to Lester for making the effort to help me receive my Taobao Shipments as I did not have a Chinese Number to facilitate the transaction process. Lester really went out of his way to help us out. Protip: If you are visiting and are looking for cheap souvenirs, tea, clothes, luggages and other essentials, I recommend you Visit Shuang Long Shopping center 双龙商城 (closes at 5pm) The souvenir prices at the old street are pretty much extortion levels after you visit Shuang Long.
