Ibis Hotels in Kunming

The hotel is a short walk from the Tangzixiang Metro Station. Jinbi Square is about 25 minutes walk away (there is no convenient public transport connection as it requires a long walk on both ends). Room is clean enough but the common areas could be cleaner. Bed is okay, good enough for a night’s rest. However, sound insulation is very poor, and you can hear the street noise and sounds from the other rooms. The plugs are not internationally compatible so you’ll need an adapter. Entrance is via a pedestrian sidewalk so you’ll need to get your car from the main road.

The hotel is clean and very near to night market and food, there is a small shopping belt just below the hotel. The only thing that can be improved further is the location of the hotel entrance drop off via DiDi, they just drop you along the roadside which you need to walk maybe for an estimate of 150m. Not sure why the drivers cannot find the way to the entrance of the hotel.. maybe it’s the DiDi app map issue. Overall the hotel is great

Conveniently located nearby to Kunming airport and they preempt you to ask if any pick up service needed with detail explanation of where to wait. Room are clean, nearby there are some eateries and there's also complimentary parking (parking lot are clean, well lighted). There's a gym, laundry room which are all complimentary. If you have 1 day in Kunming or overnight stay, highly recommend to stay here.
