Crystal Orange Hotels in Kunming

I am a fan of Huazhu. This is my first time staying at Orange Crystal in Kunming and I am very satisfied with the experience. Very new hotel. Xiao Dong and Xiao Xu at the front desk were very warm, polite and thoughtful. When we checked in, in addition to the timely delivery of warm bottled water, they also provided festive green rice dumplings, which was very heartwarming. According to our request, not only did they smoothly adjust our room, delay check-out, but they also provided us with breakfast. The rooms we stayed in were very clean and the beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is rich, with both hot and cold Chinese and Western food, and the dining environment is very modern, comfortable and elegant. In general, the staff of this hotel are warm and polite, the service attitude is very good, and the price-performance ratio is high. It is worth recommending. I will choose to stay here again next time I come to Kunming.

This was my second time staying at this hotel in Kunming, and I have to say, this experience was exceptionally bad! First off, despite traveling with my child, we were assigned a room at the very end of the corridor. It directly faced a snack street, so opening the window brought in a strong smell of hotpot and cumin. If we kept it closed, however, the room had a terrible musty odor! The bathtub leaked, leaving the bathroom floor completely soaked. The in-room phone was broken, which I reported to the front desk immediately, and the drain stopper in the sink was also faulty. To top it off, there was no Wi-Fi, and even our 4G mobile signal was weak! I have to mention that while the cleaning staff's attitude was excellent, the actual quality of cleaning was severely lacking. My complimentary toothbrush wasn't replaced for three or four nights! I even brought it up to the front desk in person, but they still didn't replace it, and I have no idea why! Regarding the complimentary water, since our child needed it for formula and we didn't want the other beverages, we requested two extra bottles. They wouldn't provide them unless we called, and even then, we had to ask repeatedly in person to finally get them. I must also mention that our child developed a fever on the second day of our stay. It was a strange, inexplicable fever, as he rarely gets sick; this was his first fever since November 2024! I can't help but wonder if the room at the end of the corridor was to blame! Parents traveling with young children, please, avoid rooms at the end of the corridor! You might be wondering why we didn't simply switch rooms. Firstly, I didn't pay much attention to the room at the end of the corridor at first, assuming the smells would clear out if we just opened the window. Secondly, with a child, there's so much stuff needed, and I had a lot of luggage. Thirdly, after he developed the fever, we decided at the last minute to stay one more night until he recovered, not wanting to put him through the stress of moving while sick.

It was very late at night when we arrived. The midnight snack stopped at 22:00. We waited until 21:45 to finish the meal and went to have midnight snack. The rice noodles were delicious. They upgraded us to a family room. There were three pairs of disposable slippers of different sizes. The bed was also double + single. The room was very large and clean. I like the shampoo and conditioner very much. It was fluffy. The breakfast on the second day was also very rich. I will cook it next time.

The service provided by Xiao Zhou at the front desk was very good. I liked it. He was very enthusiastic and had a sweet and gentle voice. The hotel was also very comfortable. The environment was good. There was a shopping mall downstairs. It was also close to the high-speed rail. It only took 15 minutes to get there. The breakfast was also good and varied.

A very new hotel with very good value for money. It is close to Haile World. There are plenty of parking spaces in the underground parking lot. The room decoration is more textured than the Orange Crystal where I stayed before, and the materials used are much thicker than before. As for the new hotel, there are still some problems. The bathroom faucet is installed backwards, and the elevator and the walkway connecting the parking lot should be renovated.
