"The property location is in central kolkata, food is also good. Just two problems are there; #1. No elevator as the property is an old one and very difficult for for persons with breathing problem and # the washroom, although very clean and well maintained, remains wet for a long time. Otherwise, the staff and management are very cordial and helpful."

"First we were not offered any welcome drinks on arrival as it was shown during the time of booking. Second they said they don’t have smoking rooms with king size bed which I had specifically mentioned that I want. When I fought with them then suddenly the room got available and we were given. Apart from this wifi was slow and had to call the wifi person to come and fix this. Rest mostly it was fine. The lunch buffet was great and rooms were clean. Since the property is quite ild now, furnitures are now rusty and need to get fixed. "

"I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be average overall. The size of the room was quite small, especially considering the price point, which felt a bit high for what was offered. Additionally, none of the charging points in the room were working, which was quite inconvenient. On the plus side, the location is extremely good, providing easy access to local attractions and amenities. However, the room's size and lack of functional charging points were notable downsides."

SShree Vardhan MundhraCheck in was smooth and quick. I was escorted to my room. The room was well appointed, clean and house keeping did a good job. The hotel took care of an issue with slightly faulty bathroom faucets as well. Overall, a nice stay.

EEHSANIt is really a nice hotel. Good ambiance.
Some people will complain about back side construction view & noise.
But fortunately I got front side room, moreover who looks outside in city hotel?
But for sound hotel May change backside windows to soundproof options.
Clean & decorated room.
Breakfast is ok, rather I would say Good if not Very Good.
Reception people are very helpful, I got early check-in at 12:30PM.
Nearby Shopping District.
As it is busy area, so get ready for whole day huge traffic.

SSwikrutiWe booked a night here at the Holiday Inn Kolkata hotel. I have stayed in Holiday Inn chennai as well. However, the standards of cleanliness and amenities and the room, the bathroom fittings and floor were low and some areas felt unsanitized as well. The floor in the room also lacked cleanliness.
They also had a torn bedsheet on our bed which I asked them to remove and they very quickly and diligently changed it. However, I was disappointed since the finishing checks if the room is in good condition for the next guest needs improvement.
The walls lacked lustre. And we paid approximately 62 EUR. Maybe they need to check the standards of other Holiday Inns like in Chennai.
Food that we ordered was nice. 10/10 on that.
But somehow the brand that Holiday Inn is and that we experienced in Kolkata was a huge mismatch.
I hope they look into all this.

QQIFANOverall, the hotel is older and the facilities are older, but the location is better and it is closer to where I am going.
It wasn't much at first, and the main two points were not very satisfying: 1) If you checked in a few hours in advance, you will be charged half a day's room rate, and you can't discuss the price; 2) Late check out will also be charged a half day room rate. The charges are understandable and the facilities are outdated, but the overall attitude is not very satisfactory. In the case of choice, this will not be chosen. But occasionally stayed, nothing, the overall recommendation is moderate.

TTanjilHonestly speaking, the hotel was great. The location was a bit far from the airport, BUT it is located at one of the cleanest places in Kolkata, making it a huge plus. Now for the details:
Room: 5/5. The decoration, the ambiance, the wall art.
Lobby and other places: 5/5. Absolutely loved the design and hotel architecture.
Bathroom: 3.5/5. Honestly, it is a basic bathroom, but I expected more from a 5 star hotel, even on the cheaper rooms. There was no bathtub, which I feel is fairly common everywhere I’ve stayed in.
ONE PROBLEM: A major issue I have faced was after turning on the water. It had a smell, which I am guessing is from the river beside it. I feel like the Hotel should add a water filter to avoid this problem, because the smell doesn’t go away until the water is turned on for at least 5-10minutes. If I wasn’t South Asian, I probably couldn’t have taken the smell as easily as I did. I would put this in High Priority to fix for attracting many more customers.
Bar and Food: 4/5. Good collection, great taste but very expensive.
Lastly, a shoutout to Al Jabbar and Al Sahid from the Housecleaning service, they were extremely polite, fast, very thorough with their cleaning and very well mannered. Absolutely a delight to talk to and learn about the local areas.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Very rare to find such good hotels, with some minor flaws.
