Jianshui Qianyu Scenic Homestay Reviews

We had an amazing time in Jianshui thanks to the hospitality and kindness of our hosts. We felt welcomed as in their home and we loved chatting over tea and fruits in the afternoon and trying some grilled tofu all together in the evening! We even received some roses for our bedroom when our hosts learnt that it was our honeymoon. We would love to come back!

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the owner for the wonderful BBQ Doufu gathering they organized for all the guests. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it truly made our stay even more memorable. The effort they put into bringing everyone together, preparing the delicious food, and creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere did not go unnoticed. It was a joy to meet the other guests, share stories, and enjoy the fantastic BBQ Doufu in such a beautiful setting. Their hospitality and attention to detail made the evening truly special. This homestay is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with warmth, care, and a sense of community. We are so grateful for the memories we’ve made here, and the BBQ gathering was the perfect highlight of our time. The couple owners are very nice, and the room quality is very good as the pictures. We like the location on the alley, so it's quiet. It's very near to go to Jianshui Old Town, about 10 minutes walk. I want to thank the owner for their hospitality, from helping us arrange pick up and drop of at the train station. Great breakfast, tea tasting and tofu grill. Yummy... The small rooftop is also nice to enjoy the skyview.

Location is very near Zhu’s Garden. Room is clean and comfortable. The bosses are very warm and hospitable. Lady Boss Xiao Jin also prepared barbecue tofu and tea for us. Breakfast was delicious too! Jin also shared with us on the local attractions. Will stay again.

The guest house is just a few minutes walk from Chaoyang Gate, the eastern entrace of the old city. It's in a small alley, so very quiet. The rooms were clean and well-equiped. The owner lady was extremely warm and welcoming, offering all kinds of advice for first-time travellers in the town. There is usually a toufu-grilling and tea session in the evening when you can socialise with the other travellers. Breakfast started a bit late, but had a good variety of food.

I did a lot of research before choosing Qianyu B&B, but it was only after I actually stayed there that I understood the significance of a B&B. The proprietress is a native of Jianshui. Not only does her Jianshui tofu taste first-rate, she also goes out of her way to prepare cold medicine and buy strawberries for guests. When she saw that I was on a tight schedule and hadn’t bought a meter-gauge train ticket in advance, she rode her bike to the station to buy it for me. She always knew exactly where to eat and where to have fun, and it made me feel proud to bring my parents out for an outing! I came and left in a hurry, and ended up forgetting my camera at the B&B. I had already taken the highway to Yuanyang to catch the sunset at the rice terraces, so I anxiously called the proprietress. She calmly told me to go to the next stop without delaying the trip. Finally, she asked someone to take it to Yuanyang for me and retrieved it smoothly without any delay. During the eight-day self-driving trip in southeastern Yunnan, Yunnan Red River really felt like returning home.

It is very suitable for our family of four 🙂 The ceremonial breakfast meets the needs of us and our children. The boss and his wife are very nice people. It was very relaxing to drink tea and grill tofu in the courtyard, just like meeting long-lost friends.

The B&B is very beautiful. The proprietress is very gentle. The breakfast is very rich. The scenery is beautiful. The lady is very nice. She will contact the store in advance to help call a taxi. When she arrives, she will help with the luggage. She will make tea, eat snacks, and grill tofu. She recommends travel guides. Families who come to Jianshui should go. The B&B is close to various attractions. The viewing platform is very beautiful. I took a lot of photos. You can also store your luggage. In short, it is very good.

I stayed in this homestay with my mother. After two days, I felt that the environment was good, the room was clean and tidy, the facilities were complete, the boss was very enthusiastic and the service was very thoughtful, the grilled tofu and breakfast were delicious😋

The B&B was better than I expected. The owner and his wife were very nice. They were very considerate and contacted in advance, found a parking space, and used a tricycle to help transport the luggage. In the evening, we all sat around the stove together, grilling tofu and chatting about everything under the sun. It was very comfortable and happy. In addition, the B&B is located in a small alley in a residential area on the outskirts of the ancient city, which better preserves the life style of local residents. It is quiet in the midst of a bustling city, and it is only a few minutes' walk to the bustling center of the ancient city, which is also very convenient. If friends have the opportunity to come to Jianshui, I will recommend this store.

The owner and the lady boss of Qianyu B&B are considerate, enthusiastic, and have a great service attitude. They are like friends and family, and it is an experience that many star-rated hotels do not have! The overall sanitation is very clean, the facilities are convenient and considerate, the room price is affordable, the surrounding is very quiet, and it feels like home. It is close to the scenic area, easy to get in and out, and very comfortable. The nine-square grid for breakfast is great, and the grilled tofu in the evening is even better than what’s sold outside 😋 It was past 12 o’clock in the evening when we arrived, and the boss was still waiting for us, taking our luggage, and ordering takeout for the kids... In short, we were very satisfied with our stay! Will come again next time!
