Floral Hotel Huangshan Xiandu Yunlu Hotel (Phoenix Source Scenic Area Branch)

This is a beautiful, friendly, family run hotel that feels like a mix of a luxury boutique hotel and a guesthouse. We loved the beautifully designed, spacious and comfortable rooms. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful. They gave excellent advice on local activities and logistics to get up the mountain. The hotel is beautifully located who don't want to be in the centre of the busy town. The hotel overlooks it's own vegetable garden with the mountain in the background. The food was delicious. We ate all three nights in the hotel, there was never a need or desire to go anywhere else. All good was very reasonably priced. The owner also makes his own infused rice wine which we highly recommend. It is a 15 minute drive to the entrance of the scenic area where the family will take you as part of service. We also got a didi car once for 30RMB and was very easy. We are a family of five with three boys aged 12, 10, 8. They really liked the hotel for the space, relaxed atmosphere, games machine, veg garden and table tennis table. Before leaving we also walked up the adjacent river valley which was an hour up and down, was beautiful and we swam in the river.

A little slice of heaven! We had a delightful two-night stay here and would most definitely come back. The rooms were huge, spotless and had all the mod cons, including voice-activated everything (for mandarin speakers) and one room even had a full moon roof for stargazing! Two rooms had exquisite views of Huangshan itself and, regardless, the rooftop deck provided the perfect viewing spot for everyone. Our two- and four-year-olds very much appreciated the ping pong table, mini arcade machine and fish tank as well. All the meals provided were incredible: dinner (à la carte) on site the first night was so good we decided to forego the restaurants in town and stay in for dinner the second night too! Plus breakfast (included) was awesome, almost tapas-style, and was a big hit with all of us. Best of all, our hosts were simply wonderful. The owner was kind, friendly and thoughtful, taking the time to chat with us - even with our limited mandarin - and ensuring our whole stay was perfect. He provided insightful guidance on logistics and itineraries for climbing Huangshan and seeing the local sights with the kids. The hotel also arranged return transfers for the six of us from North Huangshan train station (for a fee) and from the property to the tourist bus interchange and back (free). We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Not checking the weather in advance, I failed to climb Mount Huangshan due to Meiyu Unexpectedly , I enjoyed my second solo travel every much . Without going outside , I was fascinated by the view outside the villa through the window . The mountains , the farmlands, the old house made of the mud make up the most beautiful scenery . Listening to the rhythm of the rain , It is amazing to lie on the tatami by the window and watch the landscape quietly . Sometimes , I like staying at the top of the villa and did nothing ,surrounded by the mountains . Only in this way could I find my inner peace . More incredibly , it was not long before I made friends with Mengmeng , an elegant lady of my age with her witty girl from Beijing. My solo travel transformed into a small group . We visited Huangshan emerald valley , also known as Valentine's Valley and Huangshan mountain waterfalls together even if there was a big rain . Despite ten minutes’ride between Huangshan and Homestay , the guide Xu , the owner of this villa , rode us to the attractions we wanted to visit for free as well as the professional arrangements for our trips . Meanwhile , his wife did the local cuisine to feast our appetite . Usually , we had a wonderful chat in our free time on the first floor where we had meals . Especially , Xu’s son an adorable boy whose face is like an apple with a pink-white skin . So next time , I will visit there again with my husband , son and friends . This villa where rooms are tidy and smart like our home deserves the countless visits .
