"The hostel itself is very cute and cozy, though you will notice that it's already been through some years. The rooms themselves were nice and clean. The bathrooms only have squatting toilets, which in itself is not a problem; however I believe there were some guests around that didn't know how to properly use them and the bathrooms weren't cleaned daily so unfortunaly I cannot give more points on cleanliness. I don't know how much English is spoken and I'm not sure how many tips staff can give about the surrounding sights. We asked if it was possible to get to the Xilamuren grasslands by public bus and the receptionist told us it wasn't. It is though, you can take a long distance bus to Zhaohe from the long distance bus station. We didn't ask for any more directions afterwards..."
