The best location for Hershey park, easy check in, friendly staff

The room was nice with a nice size pool Surprisingly and clean and Bluetooth speaker inside with loud speakers in pool area and room with no sound leaving the room definitely worth it I would say I would definitely stay again I just wish they would offer better deals on this particular room but it’s worth it your paying for your own peace a mind with a private pool so honestly couldn’t have been more happier and the property outside is well maintained and neat .thank you again

I stayed here July 2'nd and checked out on the 3'rd. Check in was fast and friendly. I liked that they had a travel brochure rack in the lobby! It was the only place in Pitt that actually had a copy of the Pittsburgh Official Visitors Guide since the visitors center was closed downtown. The room was quite warm when I opened the door because the AC unit was turned off. I turned it on and it was quite loud and slow to cool down but after a few hours it did it's job. Same thing with the fridge it took quite a few hours for it to chill down but it worked eventually. The bed was super comfy and clean and soft and that is very important if you ask me. The TV was slow to load the channels but after a few minutes it programmed and worked. Some of the channels were a bit fuzzy but that's just Dish Network sometimes and is no fault of the motel. I want to thank the manager for allowing me to get a 2 hour late checkout for only $20 that was very nice of them since my flight did not leave the airport until 5PM and I didn't want to sit around the airport for 3 hours especially in this Covid 19 stressful world! Thanks also for the quick and super efficient airport shuttle! Also this location is quite considering a airport is 2 miles away. Lots of restaurant within a 2, 5 minute walk. Wings Suds was very tasty and offered take out beer as does Primanti Brothers across the street. There is also a Wendys across the street! I would definitely stay here again if I am in the Pittsburgh area! Be sure to specify you want a non smoking room if you don't smoke but I will say some guests don't follow this rule and for someone such as myself who has allergies I can still smell the smoke. No big deal though. Thanks again Americas Best Value inn Pitt Airport!

For the price it's an okay hotel. Take your own bath towels if you like large ones that dry you easily. Theirs are thin and small. The floors aren't even, and you can tell that when you walk between the bathroom and the bedroom. Breakfast is what you would expect - cereal, pancakes, bananas. They didn't have anything except powdered cream for the coffee.

10/5/22 My daughter and I were visiting her alma mater, Bucknell, and stayed at the Quality Inn, New Columbia. The outside of the hotel was beautifully decorated for Fall with mums and scarecrows, corn stalks, etc. The lobby was also very autumn themed, maybe a little bit too much, but still lovely. Our room was just average. My complaints: *no light in the closet area-great that the closet doors are mirrors, but you can't see to do anything there *dust on the lower shelf of the tv/bureau cabinet, you could write your name in it *auto light in the bathroom, no one needs that when using the bathroom at 2 am *hair on the vanity, and a lot of it *all bureau drawers had crumbs so had obviously not been wiped out in a while *carpeting is very old The price of the room was good, especially considering it was Bucknell Homecoming weekend. The fitness room was well equipped and all machines in working order. The staff is lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was just okay. The only ”hot” item was the waffles if you cared to make them. All in all, I don't think I would choose to stay here again. However, that being said, we were in a 1st floor room, the upper level rooms might have been better. But, I don't think there was an elevator, so that's a consideration also. Again, great staff but the hotel needs major work.

Booked a room for three nights while visiting family. On arriving, there was no signage to indicate that the entrance is off a side alley. Finally found door and rang bell. The hotel is over a bar. No answer. Called customer service. Told them I was at front door; they hung up. Finally the bartender came to the door apologizing that the music in the bar kept him from hearing. I booked through ******* and perhaps for this reason, they put me in a very small room. Clean. Very nice bathroom with a double shower. No desk as illustrated in website photos (I really wanted a desk to work during the day). No wifi despite advertising; the network they indicated on the information sheet was not even there. Curtains broken in the room preventing privacy from the building directly across the alley. Shouting drunken people from the bar were very noisy in the alley until late at night (not hotel's fault). The next morning, I decided this would not work for me. I called customer service before checkout time, no answer at all, left message indicating I was checking out. Tried ringing the bell in to the bar donwstairs; noone answered despite being able to see someone behind counter. Left keycard on bed. Sent a message through their website as directed by information sheet in room: no response. Have emailed and messaged three different times. No response. Have been billed for three nights and I am contesting the charge. (Their policy according to ******* is to charge for first night only in case of late cancellation.) Currently in the process of contesting the charges. Strongly recommend avoiding this place. No one is taking care of it. Customer service is non-existent.

#positive #I was happy with the Mosquito Control Measures, Corridor Soundproofing, Nearby Activities, Toiletries, Nearby Shops, Room Layout; The clerk here is very friendly. If I want to wash clothes, she will take me there and teach me how to do it. I booked a room for four people, and there was only one other person there that day, so it was very quiet and comfortable. In addition, you need to swipe your card to enter and exit, and the location is also very quiet. I need to remind everyone that hotels in the United States do not bring toiletries. If you don’t bring them, just go to the nearby Chinatown to buy them. You can also buy locks there, so you can feel free to lock your things in the cabinet and go out to play with various things.

The location of the hotel is very good, about 15 kilometers away from the airport, American style decoration, comfortable and warm, the heating sound is a bit big, the bed is big and very comfortable, standard breakfast, apples are delicious, there is a maple tree outside the restaurant, there are stones under the tree Table and stone benches, and a barbecue box, sitting in the dining hall and eating breakfast looking at the beautiful scenery outside the window.

This place is gross. I stayed 2 nights mid June in a non smoking room reeked of cigarettes. I’m a non smoker so it wasn’t gross that I wasn’t put in a new room I was just told “they’ll make a note of it”. And when I looked at my bank statements later in there was an extra $25 charge. Apparently they found a small stain on a sheet which results in being charged for a new set. That’s kinda messed up. Especially since I found hair and old soap on the tub. I dont know why a housekeeping manager is charging extra money they’re clearly not thoroughly cleaning. I wouldn’t stay here. This place isn’t for travelers. This isn’t the scariest place I’ve ever stayed. The staff is not friendly. Not a single employee was wearing a mask but that didn’t stop them from YELLING at customers for not wearing them while walking thru their office. I found this out when I was locked out of my room. To the owner/manager- maybe your staff should lead by example first? Tell them to cover their face (especially if they’re going to yell) while at their job!!

I stayed here for like 2 weeks out of nowhere they decided to ban me. Probably because I kept staying on points and calling customer service to make them do their jobs ha. When I asked the reason I was ban she said my kids were rubbing the halls in the middle of the night which was a whole lie, my kids were in bed af 9/10 every night because they had school. But don’t come here It’s unkept and gross and they act like your parents telling you that you can’t have guests in your room and they make sure whoever is on the reservation is all that’s allowed in the pool! Not worth the money you pay. They need to be free.

Breakfast foods provided were minimal, including the lowest quality plastic dinnerware possible. Ceiling grid in the bathroom of 312 was rusted and peeling. Shower base was also rusted and the shower door would not stay closed. There was no exhaust fan, condensation covered everything after showering. The chair in the room has a suspicious white stain on the seat. Bed pillows were small and very soft. Check in/out was easy and staff was pleasant.

After checking in, we went to our room - which was very clean and a perfect place to stay for the weekend. We were lucky to be given a room with a jacuzzi, which unfortunately we didn’t have time to use. The breakfast in the morning was great! Waffles, yogurt, boiled eggs, prepackaged croissant/English muffin sandwiches, juice and tea and coffee. It was excellent. The only downside was how small the eating area was, but it really wasn’t too bad. The woman who checked us in was very nice and the man (who I believe is the manager) was also very nice and helpful when we had questions. Only about a 15 minute drive to downtown Pittsburgh. Would certainly stay here again!

The whole building smells musty and there's NO air in any common areas. Our room had been untouched since the last guests (we got there well after check in). No apologies, no reimbursement. We just had to wait over an hour in the heat and of course had no time to shower or nap before the event we came for. (while 7 months pregnant-obviously that's not their fault but it was beyond necessary and they should have the room ready before they give us a key) They were ”fully booked” but while we sat waiting they took a reservation for today and said they had ”just one” room that was EXACTLY what we had and then mentioned to another worker that they had THREE. Not sure why we couldn't get one of those, or one of the several rooms for people we watched check in AFTER us. Someone else came to let them know the air didn't work in their room and they said it was just too low and couldn't keep up, even after they said they had turned it down and it wasnt working BEFORE, and without checking it at all. (Even if that was truly the problem make a note if you dont want it below a certain temperature, and maybe upgrade so people who pay good money can be comfortable) Someone else complained of a leaking sink and damage in the bathroom, and ANOTHER complainef that their shower wasn't draining and they just gave them a plunger to deal with it themselves. When we finally got back to the room, it somehow smelled worse (like a public bathroom) and the bottle of conditioner was half used (that wasn't there at all before so I'm sure they collect them when people leave and reuse) This is the most expensive hotel we've ever stayed at, even booked months in advance (probably because of the location) but it was definitely not worth even the $70 or $80 you can get a motel for.

We went to a local event and decided to stay the night before heading home. We've stayed at other Country Inn and Suites (In Roanoke VA.) and were please with the stay. This Inn is a little bit older, but for the most part clean and comfortable. We would have no problem staying again. We didn't have much interaction with the hotel staff, but what little there was ...was fine.

Best night sleep in forever. Loved that there was a king and full in the same room. TV didn't work but we had internet. Good location for exploring the area.

Cheap, McDonald's, Merlot and other restaurants at the door. Across the road is a cheap supermarket. Things are cheap.

the hotel is the best one for Hershy. 3 issues are present. broken light fixure fell as I slept, the bedsheets had pee stains and the ights filkerkerd . I still rate this dump as a five star hotel, even though the hotel is kinda horrfic. I saw no fences as they were demoshing the old pool buiding while guests were present. my room smelled like smoke and I hated it and we only had a coffee maker and a mivrove in the room. We spent 3 nights and Megan told me she needed a better place to stay. I told her no, this is the hotel for the whole trip. When we went back to Downtown denver, I wanted to let you know that they din't give as breckfast whitch was rude. but Next time this will be a 2.5 star exprece instad of 5.0 stars . Don't come here unless you wanna watch broken light fixures fall onto the floor.

Back for another great visit at the Red Roof in Greensburg. I was here a couple of months ago, and meant to review it then, but it just slipped through the cracks. I loved my stay then, and absolutely no disappointments on my second go round. It is clean, clean, clean! The beds are comfy, and because it is up on the hill off Route 30, it is quiet, The front desk staff are uniformly terrific; Stefanie when I was here in October, and Alyssa on this visit are super friendly, and very good at their job. The rooms are a little on the small side, but they have everything you need for a terrific day, and the price is certainly very tasty (especially with no pet fee). Just a note: I travel a lot, 20+ weekends a year— 100+ nights at hotels. It’s a Red Roof, not a four-star property, but it’s a genuine winner… and one of the RRs I have stayed in. NOTE: This hotel has absolutely the best in room refrigerators I’ve had at a non-suite hotel. It is a good size small refrigerator that has a separate freezer…not a little dinky space inside the refrigerator.

We traveled to PA for USA Hockey National tournament. This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. It was very clean and the staff with above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay. They provided board games in the front for us to play in the lobby, always had fresh cookies, didn’t get upset with the us hanging in the lobby socializing, and even held a drawing contest (mostly for the siblings) and gave out prizes!

My wife and I stayed here for two days/nights for an offsite wedding the weekend of July 14-16. Many other family members and friends stayed here as well. The list of observations below were echoed by everyone we talked to who stayed there. Let me first say that the staff were great. All very professional and very helpful. But they have an old, damp, and “fragrant” hotel to work with and can only do so much. Observations: *Parking lot looks like a battlefield from Ukraine *Checked in to first room and immediately repulsed by powerful smell of cigarettes mixed with a warm, muggy, stale air in the room. Got transferred to another room *Rooms are small and very tight. Hard for 2 people to shower and dress at the same time. *Carpet in room is sticky from overuse *Tiling and dry wall behind toilet moldy *TV remote had batteries that leaked making it useless. Staff gave us another *Clock, TV, and two lamps left unplugged for some reason *Amazingly muggy and damp room the entire stay. Even with AC on or off - didn’t matter. All our clothing felt damp as well as the bed linen. The whole facility best describes as “dank”. *Outside pool is a train wreck with stagnant water and peeling paint. Has not been used in years. *Nice bar for the Harley Davidson, shot and a beer crowd. *Many large closed off spaces including an old in-house restaurant and banquet spaces Bottom line is this hotel is DECADES overdue for a remodel. And probably better to just gut the entire thing and start from scratch. But the staff were very nice….
