"Lovely room and the staff were even better- just smiley happy people who were always looking to help and give sightseeing tips. "The apartment hotel is located near the beach and about a 15-minute walk from the center—depending on where you want to go. The "roads" and paths are not yet paved and consist of sand and some gravel. Like everywhere else on the island, they are not yet developed. On rainy days, these can be challenging. The hotel has a small pool, loungers, and shady areas. On the third floor, there is a rooftop terrace with a canopy and hammocks. The view is absolutely beautiful. Our apartment consisted of a living area with a kitchenette and a bedroom. The furnishings were functional, equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans. Due to the high humidity, the occasional rust spot appeared, but this didn't really bother us. Unfortunately, the wardrobe was in the bathroom, which isn't ideal, and the kitchen floor and refrigerator were unfortunately stained and unhygienic. The trash can could also use a thorough cleaning. Otherwise, the apartment was clean."

"Really cute island with white sand. We were unfortunate enough to visit on some of the few days when the island had bad weather but saw enough to see how idyllic it would have been in calm weather. The food in the restaurant was lovely and we hired a buggy to drive over to west side of the island to watch the sunset which was fun. We will go back and hopefully experience the island in good weather."

"We were disappointed. Our water tank was broken when we arrived and wasn't replaced. The electrical outlet was also broken, so we had to pull out our refrigerator to turn on the coffee maker. But we couldn't make coffee because there was no water... the room was a bit flooded by the rain, but no one came to ask if everything was alright. We had to use our towels to mop, and they didn't replace them. Most of the time, no one was there either. Breakfast was probably good in their restaurant, but at the hotel it was subpar. We found everyone serving margarine from the same container rather peculiar. The Wi-Fi was also very poor. The location was great, though! And the owner was friendly."

"My friend and I stayed here for four days in March 2025 and it was honestly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to! As someone who prefers my hotel to be a refuge I come back to after a day's wanderings as opposed to the location of the main event, the boutique, almost homelike feel of Tierra Del Mar was absolutely ideal. The "no loud music" rule and the main gate shutting after a certain time in the evening (requiring a provided key to come and go) might not be everyone's vibe for a tropical vacation, but I personally loved it for me it added to the oasis-like feel. But no need to worry if you're the more fast-paced sort, Tierra Del Mar is still located very centrally in Holbox, so if you are craving that hustle and bustle you're only steps away from the best restaurants, bars, beach clubs, and markets! The hotel's owner was extremely sweet and friendly and was always near enough at hand if we needed anything, and the staff was just as kind. I'm still looking through my photos from our trip and can't believe I had the chance to stay at such a beautiful, relaxing spot! Highly, highly recommend for the traveller who likes peace and calm alongside their adventures."
