"The beds were super comfortable! Like, man, if you are looking for a place to crash after a day exloring the island, that's a great spot. Close to the center, surprisingly quiet and comfortable. Buuut there wasn't hot water at the hotel, and construction all around. "

"I liked the hotel very much because it is all wooden in Mexican style and with a very special and well-treated furniture. Unfortunately, however, even because of the sand streets, common areas are very dust, poorly clean and the pool full of leaves and insects. We have not been very satisfied with breakfast that is not a buffet, but you have to order in the menu where only 3 egg dishes and 1 fourth dishes with 2 pieces of bread and a marble pack. They bring you fruit and juice in a glass. If you still have hunger or thirst you can't do the bis and especially there's no variety that you expect in a breakfast in the hotel. The hotel has made us pay taxes that were not foreseen in the booking, as if taxes were raised here in Mexico without planning and increased daily."

"Very nice decoration, comfortable bed. Only the bathroom was slowly working. The very friendly staff, willing to give us information and help. We wanted to stay longer and there was no place. The very familiar environment"

FFuentesDannyThe hotel is well, looks relatively new and keeps it in good condition.
The beaches are beautiful but it is a little isolated from the city center where restaurants and shops are, although it has a small shop quite slightly out there and a small mini-super a little farther.
It has two trees but they are always cold, I don't know if they are tolerated in summer, we couldn't get into winter, children and Europeans did not have so much trouble.
As an island, there is no medical service for delicate situations and the nearest is Cancún at two and a half hours on ferry and then on road to get ready.
The staff is very friendly and service.
The worst is the restaurant, food is generally bad, but the worst is breakfast, there are only horrible eggs that seem to make them with water, sauces, fries, chilaquiles and hotcakes. The juice is diluted with water and syrup (we saw it), it is the tail!!! as if they don't charge enough!!! The fatal sweet bread, the poor coffee and they don't serve it on the table. The food bells were always empty because we were too many guests and they were not awaiting. It's so bad that on the third day we decided to go to a neighboring hotel (and pay $1500 for 3 people) with an excellent buffet very abundant and excellent service, all the coffee we wanted and always served us at the table. There were eggs made, but you could also ask for a omelet with different extras at the moment, etc. Generally thousand times better.
The tours that the hotel sells you do not make it clear you are not in season so that the bioluminescent is almost nothing and you have to be moving the water to see something and the one of the 3 islands you don't see a single pink flamenc.
We're not going back to this hotel.

AAnonymous UserRoom was nice, design is cute. Unfortunately really noisy depending on the room you get. There’s several bars nearby and some you can hear everything until 2 am. Some rooms are quieter though. Location is good if you like to go out. If not then you’re just in the epicenter of noise.
Cleanliness was good but they never came to clean the rooms/fill up water/take the trash.
Staff was nice and helpful.

GGuest UserExpérience déplorable au HM Villas Palapa del Mar. Malgré une réservation confirmée 5 mois à l’avance pour deux lits, l’hôtel a tenté de nous imposer un lit simple à l'arrivée.
Le cauchemar logistique a continué le lendemain :
Obligés de remballer nos affaires et de les stocker à la réception.
Au retour d'excursion à 13h, la chambre n'était pas prête.
Après nous avoir demandé de revenir 1h plus tard, on nous a encore imposé 40 minutes d'attente supplémentaires.
Comble du manque de respect : nous étions dans la piscine juste devant la chambre et avons constaté qu'aucun personnel n'y était entré durant toute notre attente. La chambre était donc vide alors qu'on nous faisait patienter inutilement.
Une gestion des stocks défaillante et un personnel de réception qui manque cruellement de professionnalisme. Le cadre ne compense pas un tel service. Passez votre chemin.

GGuest UserHotel and wonderful service, with trained and professional people, very hosts and providing good information on the place ...I will certainly always recommend this hotel for future visits to Holbox.
We were even allowed to use the rooftop pool, having already check out , waiting for the time of return on ferry in the afternoon.
