I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, very clean, and overall feels well maintained. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. I especially liked that coffee and drinks are available anytime, which is a really nice touch. The breakfast was also great, and the pancake machine was such a cute and fun addition. I would also like to give a special thank you to Adrian at the front desk (I hope I spelled his name correctly). He was absolutely fantastic, very kind, professional, and genuinely caring. He communicated clearly and handled everything very well. I even noticed he was training other colleagues, and it was obvious that he understands the business and customer service extremely well. He really made a positive difference during my stay.
There was unfortunately one issue with housekeeping during my stay. I had stayed one day, liked it so much stayed 4 more days. On my first day, on several occasions a cleaner entered or attempted to enter my room early in the morning even though check-out was at 12:00. On my first day they knocked at 11am/12/12.30 and actually came in at 12pm, although I had paid for late check out (which by the way is an amazing option to have), while I was still naked in bed. One cleaner in particular — an older woman with short burgundy/brown hair — was quite abrupt. She repeatedly gestured for me to leave quickly. At one point she pointed at her wrist as if indicating a watch and used hand gestures to signal that I should hurry and leave, even though I still had time before check-out. It felt quite uncomfortable, especially as housekeeping knocked once and then opened the door quickly on a couple of occasions. On my last day, someone actually came in at 10AM in the morning. I just do not understand. I know it is a big hotel, I know they have to get a lot of rooms done in a short amount of time. I just do not understand the aggression of demanding a guest to leave so they can clean.
Thankfully, Adrian at the front desk was extremely helpful when I explained the situation. He took my concern seriously and helped communicate with the housekeeping team so it wouldn’t continue. Adrian really saved my stay!

My stay at the Crowne Plaza Hamburg - City Alster was absolutely superb. From the moment I arrived, the elegant and professional atmosphere was noticeable.
The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a incredibly comfortable bed and a fantastic view. The location is also ideal for both enjoying the beautiful Alster lake and accessing the city center.
It’s the attentive service and premium amenities that set this hotel apart. I felt thoroughly pampered and would not hesitate to return for another luxurious stay.

Chris LWYGreat Location and Reliable Comfort in Hamburg!
I stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Hamburg City Centre for two nights and had a wonderful experience.
Location: Very convenient. Can take the city bus from the main train station (Hbf) and stop at Repsoldstraße which is directly infront of the hotel.
Rooms: Clean, modern, and well-designed. The bed was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent despite being central.
Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast had a great variety of hot and cold options.
Staff: Friendly, welcoming, and quick with the check-in process.

A great hotel for a few days. The staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was really good. Most of the fresh fruit salad convinced me. The flat is quite narrow, and the fact that you come into the parking house only after check-in was not directly visible. But in all, it is absolutely recommended to continue

Guest UserGreat service, everything modern and beautiful. The rooms are relatively small but perfectly adequate, with a spacious bathroom (walk-in shower). Unfortunately, the windows couldn't be opened and there was no mini-bar, but for the price, it was absolutely excellent! We'd happily come back.

Guest User1. Due to a train delay from Cologne, my scheduled 9 PM arrival turned into 2 AM at the Central Station. It was such a relief that the accommodation was right on the doorstep.
2. I opted for the breakfast at €7.50. Although the selection was very basic, I was grateful to be able to eat my fill.
3. Since there is a fee for luggage storage, I checked out four hours earlier than my train departure. Fortunately, there was a Hamburg city tour bus right in front of the train station, so for €21 I was able to tour the city for 1.5 hours.
4. Despite a few shortcomings, this budget-friendly hotel right in front of the train station is definitely worth staying at.

Anonymous Userood location near to Hamburg main station. Check in was slow as there was only one old senior lady at the counter who kept talking to the guests in front of me and told me 5 times “just a moment…” The she left at 3pm and change shift to a young man who was much more efficient and friendly. My room was dark and smell funny but the bathroom is clean. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast was same every day. Restaurant staffs are nice. Would recommend only if you need to be near the train station.

Guest UserThe location is great, and it's a twin room in a hostel. It's quiet and clean. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic. The check-in process was partially self-service, which we hadn't done before, but the young man at the front desk patiently helped us complete it. Check-in time is strictly 3 PM, but the paperwork was done in advance, so we could move into the room right at 3 PM. It offers good value for money.

SaadzbilalThe Good:
Overall, it was a good stay. The entire property runs on a highly efficient self-service system, which made checking in and out quick, seamless, and hassle-free. If you like a smooth, automated process without long queues, you'll appreciate how they have things set up here.
Areas for Improvement:
The Rooms & Beds: The rooms are quite compact and on the smaller side. Additionally, the beds were a little uncomfortable, which made it a bit tough to get a perfectly restful night's sleep.
Payment Policies: A major point of frustration was paying the local city tax. The hostel should really accept paper money (cash) for this fee. Forcing digital or card payments for a small, mandatory local tax isn't ideal for every traveler and lacks flexibility.
Verdict:
A decent, budget-friendly option in a lively location if you just need a functional place to crash and prefer a self-service vibe, but don't expect premium comfort.
