There are shuttle buses to and from Moto-Hakone where you can catch the pirate ship, and there are also shuttle buses to Odawara Station.
Unfortunately, I didn't check the shuttle bus from Odawara to the hotel before I came. I took the ordinary mountain bus for 50 or 60 stops until I got carsick. (I found out after getting off the bus that the Hakone Free Pass could not be used and I had to pay another fare.) After paying the fare, we dragged the luggage for a long distance before arriving at the hotel.
