"This place has everything you need (onsen, washer, dryer, kitchen stuff, sauna, dishwasher and a telescope). Our family enjoys this place a lot. As we drove there, we had no issue in accessing to this place. However, we did face some issue with the self checking in using the in room tablet, as it couldn't upload our photos by showing us errors on the network. The contact centre staff has helped us to complete the check-in via pictures sent through emails. Also, there is no clearing of rubbish throughout my 3 days stay."

"The hotel is very nice overall. It's a semi-apartment-style hotel with no reception. You need to check your email for a code before check-in to access your room. Parking is ample and free. The hotel is about a three-hour drive from Tokyo's Narita Airport. The room is spacious with two bedrooms and a beautiful terrace. Opening the bed, you're greeted by a blanket of greenery. If you have the chance, I'd consider having a barbecue on the terrace next time—it would be a truly wonderful experience. The room also has a hot spring bath with constant flow, which is very relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there's a self-service center for ice and vending machines. We had breakfast for two days, buying bread, eggs, and milk at a convenience store just a three-minute walk away. You can walk to the popular hiking trails, drive to Lake Ashi, take a boat ride, and visit nearby art museums."

"I really liked the Japanese-style room! The balcony offers a wonderful view! The room for 4 has a kitchen. Its own bathroom. On the first floor there is a wonderful onsen with a view of the trees, birds singing outside the window. There was no one in the women's room either in the evening or in the morning - it was beautiful! The ryokan is located right next to the funicular station - convenient. In the morning you can order a free transfer to the train station. Unfortunately, there were some downsides. We knew about some of them in advance, but those who are going to book should keep them in mind. During the day, at the most convenient time for arrival from Tokyo, the reception is on break, so guests find themselves in front of closed hotel doors. We were lucky: someone was leaving the hotel, and we went in and left our things in the lobby on the first floor, and did not drag them up the hill to leave them somewhere else. There are no shops or restaurants near the ryokan, which means you either have to take the funicular and hurry back (it stops running very early), or walk up the steep slope. You can't leave the ryokan in yukatas, there is no tea or plates in the kitchen in the room, but they are given to you at the reception upon request. You have to lay out your own futons. But the most unpleasant thing is that there was a dead cockroach on the stairs between the floors. Overall, it's a chance to experience something very Japanese, but you won't be surrounded by the same care as in many other ryokans."

"First of all, it's the best. The public bath is very well-equipped, and the outdoor bath has a great atmosphere. Makeup removers are all provided inside the hot spring area, so it was very convenient to just go. The breakfast is also really good, and the service is truly top-notch. I dropped my proposal ring in the public bath and was devastated, but even though it was past 1 a.m., they went and shined a flashlight into each drain and found it for me. I'm so grateful to the bespectacled manager. The room is spacious, and I love that the toilet and shower are separate!! At this price, it's truly great value for money."

"This hotel didn’t have 24hours front desk services , nevertheless travelers can easily reach out by free call services if needed assistance when you arrived. Is about 5-10mins walk from Hakone-Yumoto station. Turn left right after you exit from station , across the road whereby tourists information office and bus stations . Walk across a red bridge right after walking down from stairs station , turn left after crossing bridge ,walk few more mins and you will be able to reach the hotel ."

"The hotel is located in Sengokuhara, Mt. Hakone. Located on a mountain road, the brand sign is not obvious. It is dark and the street lights are weak and you can't even see the hotel's sign! I can’t even see the hotel when I reach my destination via navigation! It took me two trips to find it. The South Building is easier to find, but the North Building is really hard to find. After finding the sign for the North Building, you have to turn into an alley and then up a small slope to find it. Because we stayed for two nights in a row, there was a problem with the hotel's check-in tablet, and the staff spoke Chinese, English, and Japanese. The parking space of the North Building is not in front of the door. We need to take a detour and walk up the mountain. It is dark and there is no car light to pedestrian. They insist on asking us to park the car in this parking lot 15 minutes away. It is too dark and too dangerous. I request We parked in the unloading area for one night and didn't find a parking lot until the next day. We felt that it was dangerous to our safety. Unless it was in broad daylight, there was a lot of noise. For about two hours, the hotel staff did not allow us to park and called twice. Went to the room to find us, the trails they provided were even more impossible to walk at night. The next day we took a day trip, which was also dangerous. After walking for a while, we encountered a deer, which put us in a dilemma. Very angry about the parking issue. Other than that, the hotel room was ideal. The equipment is complete, but the on-site environment is a bit far from the photos. "What a stunning and prefect house in Togendai! Washing machine, microwave, a huge refrigerator, clothes drying tools are all provided in the room is appreciated. But it’s quite noisy and annoying when ppl walking in the upper room."

"To be fair, wasnt able to stay in the hotel since realised only 1 day before check in date that - there isn't luggage holding or storage available - yamato does not pick up luggage from here - go apps does not help since no taxi driver accepts pick up from this location As we were travelling as a relatively big family with more than 6 big luggages and owner did not response to my reachout timely, the location and inconveniences to arrange for transport resulted in us changing our itinerary and missing out on staying in the hotel. We feedback to owner and Trip.com for mitigation if we can get some refund back, but to no avail. All in all while we understand its not owner's fault, I do wish they could reply promptly on enquiries and also review their cancellation and refund policy."
