Radisson RED Guang Zhou South Railway Station

Chose this hotel near Guangzhou South Railway Station as we need to take a train to Zhuhai the next day. The hotel staff were polite and courteous and our rooms were upgraded without additional cost. The hotel rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious. Breakfast was a wide spread of local and international cuisine, however a little more expensive than the other hotels we had stayed prior.

I highly recommend this hotel for both business trips and leisure getaways. It offers excellent value for money and location, and the service truly makes you feel welcome. I will definitely return on my next trip to Shenzhen!

The front desk staff were really helpful to leave a good memory for my friend's birthday by giving a cute little stuff toy, birthday card and a slice of cake to wish him a happy birthday. The hotel is modern, room is spacious with a good view. Located within walking distance about 10mins from Guangzhou south highway station. The bed, bedsheet, pillow are good. The breakfast spread is pathetic. What a shame. Food quality is mediocre. Simple lost my appetite. Went back my room to order breakfast delivery, which taste way better.

Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I stayed at the Radisson Red Guangzhou South Station for a short business trip and was very impressed overall. The hotel is ideally located just minutes from Guangzhou South Railway Station, which makes it perfect for travellers catching high-speed trains. I booked a King Room, which was spacious and modern, with what appeared to be two double beds joined together, still very comfortable. The interior feels fresh and new, and my 30th-floor room offered a spectacular city view, especially at night. The restaurant downstairs was good, offering a few halal-friendly options (mostly plant-based alternatives). Having a mall and a 7/11 on the ground floor was a huge convenience for snacks and essentials, ideal for anyone on a tight schedule. One small issue: I had arranged a 2PM late checkout with reception the day before. However, on the day itself, I received a call from a staff member using a translator device who bluntly said I’d be charged if I didn’t leave by 2PM. While I understand the policy, the tone came across as unnecessarily sharp. It could have been phrased more courteously, such as explaining they needed to prepare the room for the next guest. This is a small training point for the front-desk team. Overall, it was a pleasant and efficient stay, clean, modern, well-located, and comfortable. With a bit more polish in staff communication, the Radisson Red Guangzhou South could easily deserve a perfect 5-star rating.

Was a last minute booking- great hotel on the South Side of the City walking distance from Guangzhou Sout /aka Guangzhounan station. Easy check-in and check out! Highly recommended if you don’t mind a bit of travel. I used Didi and cost for trip to the Wast side was less than $5.

Hoteling done right... Immaculate rooms, Phenomenal views and extremely friendly and helpful staff. I especially remember reception member King for his amazing service. Was very pleasantly surprised with the difference betweem Radissons Blu and Red Brands. Definitely choosing Radisson Red whenever poasible.
