The houses were rebuilt after the local residents were demolished. It is about 7 minutes' drive from the scenic spot, which is very close. You can enter the park before a large number of tourists from Kunming. The accommodation conditions are quite normal.

The hotel is in wooden style, the decoration is very beautiful, and it is a very cost-effective hotel. The rooms are very clean, and the front desk provides enthusiastic service. The breakfast in the garden restaurant is diverse, and the waiters are very friendly and friendly. The service is also very good, everywhere you go. It’s refreshing and you can pick fruits. I’ll choose here again next time

GGuest UserGreat location just a short bus ride to the Shilin AAAAA Park. The bus stop is very close to Mijia Inn. On the same street are several places to eat, and around the corner is a shop to purchase snacks, drinks, etc. The room is spacious and very clean, with good air-con... it was very hot when we visited! Downstairs is a cafe with very good coffee and nice ambience. The owner is friendly, and altough she does not speak English, she is patient with my (very poor) Chinese, and she helped us to find the grocery shop, etc. In the room, there are slippers, shampoo, etc, and the hot water pressure is excellent. A very relaxing, quiet, and clean place to stay if you are visiting the rock forest or the nearby caves. It is a good value for the price.

SSarah from ItalyThis was by far the BEST accommodation we stayed in China!! We booked two rooms because I'm travelling with my sister and her boyfriend.
Both rooms were extremely clean, the best comfortable beds ever, hot shower, air con, all the toiletries were good quality and the staff were amazing!!!!
They helped us out with everything!! Even though they don't speak English or any other language (like elsewhere in China), they were extremely helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator.
We stayed two nights but we would have loved to stay longer which was not possible because visa's expiring soon.
When we got there, they made us delicious noodles with beef and vegetables and my brother in law is still dreaming to get the same tasty noodles somewhere else in China 😊
We don't know the names of the hosts, maybe they are wife and husband (we are not sure) but surely this was the top accommodation and treatment we have received in China so we would like to thank you two again for everything you have done for us. We are sure your next guests will enjoy their stay at your place just the same as we did.

GGuest UserThe owner of the hotel is very enthusiastic. When we arrived, we were already waiting at the door. There is a small fruit in each room. It is really intimate. The layout of the homestay is very warm. There is a big tea table as soon as you enter the door. You must try the boss's tea. Very good 👍 You must listen to the boss's recommendation when you come here. , really conscience recommended! I ate the best local specialties for dinner! We drove there by ourselves, this dish is the best one to eat and the price is very close to the people.

SSophita23Excellent stay. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay here. Everything's well adapted for traveling families. The rooms are spatious and clean. We even had a fridge and and a washing machine. That made it even more enjoyable and home-like. On the 7th floor there is a lovely lounge area and a nice terrace.
The location is also amazing. The hotel is located in the heart of the city. There is a shopping mall nearby and lots of tasty food stalls just across the road.
Note: Foreigners are perfectly accepted to stay here.

OOLGA_GHAmazing location for those who look for a quiet, well-located and EXTREMELY beautiful place. The personnel is really nice and helpful and there’s a restaurant just behind the hotel! Strongly recommend you to try a plate with tofu! one of the most bright impressions of Shilin. I think I liked the hotel even more than the stone forest itself😂And! national clothes to try on for free in every room (for insta lovers)! 5 out of 5 at my taste!

MMichaelFor foreign tourists who want to visit the Karst Stone scenic areas, ie Stone Forest, the hotel is just a short walk down the road. Breakfast is buffet style and good. Meals can also be purchased. Locationwise necessitates the use of a vehicle to get to the hotel.
Trip.com needs to update the hotel's name on its site.
The Hotel's name is not Shilinxuan Holiday Inn. The name or names on the signage is Sloane Place and Holiday Inn Bosheng Shilin.

AAcw2005Great location that it is near a lot of food places, a store, and the Stone Forest. Even though I already visited Stone Forest on my visit to Kunming in 2018, this was still a good room in that I get my privacy. Hotel workers were nice in that they gave me more water and wanted to make my bed even though I didn't need it. I liked how it had a heater in there to keep me warm whenever the room got too cold. The thing that I was unsure of is how much freedom and accessibility I get in being able to cook things in the kitchen at times and I was confused about whether I was allowed to eat the food that the cook makes, or it is only for guests that order food and pay for it from him. Sometimes the cook is unpredictable in that I don't know when he comes to cook between the lunch and dinner hours. The front desk women were friendly and helpful in giving me information about certain things. I appreciate it when they loaned me a phone charger temporarily when mine broke until I can get a new replacement one. Thank You for that. The only thing I would have to say, is that it is too far from the city center from the train station in where I need to be in order to catch the train to Hekou and cross the border into Vietnam.

GGuest UserThe central location of the stone forest, surrounded by night markets, large supermarkets, parks, pedestrian streets. Food, entertainment, shopping are all complete, accommodation conditions are very convenient, underground parking is free, and you can walk.

GGuest UserI found the guesthouse a lovely stay, with clean rooms, helpful staff, and good facilities. It's location is a bit far from the main city centre, however as a solo traveller who wanted to visit the beauty stone forest, it is very convenient and very close to the site.
