I rang the hotel the day before to ask for directions and they were very helpful with giving advice about getting discounted the entrance ticket for us as the hotel is located within the scenic area and the ticket is also valid for the 2 days we were there for. They also added me to a WeChat group with all their staff and everyone was extremely helpful in giving advice and recommendations. One thing was that the bathroom drain is a bit small and when I was washing my hair in the shower it got blocked by the hair (I have long hair that sheds a bit) and there was a bit of mini-flood happening in the shower, though that's more the design of the shower. Bonus: cats and bunny at the reception!
Would definitely stay again if I'm visiting!

I chose this hotel after looking online for a long time. The sanitary conditions are really good. I booked a room on the second floor, facing the river. I loved the floor-to-ceiling windows next to the bed. The scenery outside the window was also very beautiful.

This is my first trip to Xitang. I compared many B&Bs and finally chose this one. I really chose the right place! The small garden of the B&B is very beautiful, with small bridges and flowing water full of design. Various koi carps roam freely in the pond. I like the outdoor teahouse the most. It is so comfortable to bask in the sun after breakfast. The children liked the little milk cat and fish pond here very much. They were very happy to tease the cat and feed the fish. The Sun, Moon and Stars room I booked was also great. The skylight on the roof was great, and there was also a cloister balcony where you could see far away. The owner is warm and hospitable, confident and thoughtful, making you feel at home. The breakfast is freshly made, rich in variety, very delicious, and you will definitely be satisfied! I booked this place for my kids. The room is very nice. The original Super Wings is awesome! It's full of elements. There are also Super Wings books in the room. The elevator is full of Super Wings. This place is worth it. Candies were given in the room, and afternoon tea was ordered. The kids were super happy.

Sharing the real experience of staying in
1. The hotel bought tickets for NT$70 each, with the same size and price, but I didn’t buy one of them, which resulted in a long wait at the entrance of the scenic spot, which was unreliable.
2. Booked a parent-child room, the beds can be joined together very conveniently, 3 meters 2 large and 2 small is very spacious. But the hygiene is really not complimentable, the floor is really dirty.
3. The check-in attitude at the front desk was very good, and they gave popcorn snacks when they saw children.
4. The room I stayed in was close to the elevator entrance. At 1 o'clock in the middle of the night, there was yelling and laughing in the corridor. Many rooms were awakened, and the hotel did not respond.

I booked a loft room on the 11th, with upper and lower floors, 5 people, not crowded. The room is clean and has 2 balconies with good air and beautiful views. It can have convection and wind. It is very cool during the National Day, so there is no need to turn on the air conditioner. No mosquitoes either. The bed is big and soft. Have a good night's sleep.
The interior design has a natural feel, and the decoration is tasteful, not the simple street decoration. The bedside is very atmospheric. The bathroom is not very big, there is only one, but it doesn't matter if the whole family uses it separately.
The entire hotel has four floors, and you don’t feel tired even if you go up the spiral staircase. On the contrary, it is very artistic.
There is a small Zen-like pavilion on the first floor, where two people drink tea and watch the flowing water next to them, which is quite artistic.
The boss is very warm and considerate. Karaoke is available on the second floor. There is also a barbecue grill. I bought ingredients from the nearby pot circle, barbecued, sang, and played board games. It was very pleasant.

GGuest UserVery nice hotel... well located, inside the walls of the histroic water town, but in a quiet part, away from the hustle of the crowded streets.
Room was clean and easily large enough.. with good lighting and private toilet/shower, and daily room service. The buffet breakfast, included in the room price was very good.
I speak no mandarin; so I had to communicate with the reception/front desk staff using translate on phones.
The front desk staff were wonderful... cheerful, helpful. They went to great lenghts to explain to me how to obtain and buis ticket to Shanghai, where to catch the bus and so on... also the same staff were extremely helpful with day to day questions.
The only strange or negative thing is that when shown the room, it looks wonderful as it includes a small private verandah with table and chair. However, there is a fixed wire screen preventing the inhabitant from accessing the room's verandah... kind of strange and certainly a negative

AAnonymous UserAlong the riverside of the core scenic area of Xitang are all homestays, including this one. We stayed on the first floor, and we had to climb the attic to the second floor. The balcony of the room faces the river, and opposite is the Misty Corridor and the Songzi Laifeng Bridge. You can sit on the balcony and watch the cruise ships coming and going in the river.
