Staying at Joy Island was exactly what I needed — peaceful, quiet, and away from the constant rush of daily life. From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel comfortable and at ease. My host Simona was incredibly attentive and helped me with every request I had — especially when it came to finding the perfect villa for me: quiet, peaceful, and with the ideal view I was looking for. A special mention to the restaurant team — Dita, Shasha, Nihaa, and GTA. I truly wish I could name everyone, but there were so many kind people who always greeted me with a smile. The chefs, waiters, bar staff, buggy drivers, and reception team all went above and beyond with warmth that made me feel truly welcome. The food was excellent, the service exceptional, and the atmosphere calm and relaxing — the perfect place to switch off and recharge. A true gem in the Maldives — highly recommended. 10/10.

Location, service, facilities and food were all excellent. The beach was very clean and the family enjoyed snorkelling safely. The food was excellent, including the market dining room, pizza and paella. We would like to go back again.

We had an unforgettable stay at the resort! The excellent room service, especially thanks to Ahu, made our experience exceptional. The food was delicious, with the tiramisu being the best we've ever had and the chocolate night an excellent touch. The handmade ravioli was exquisite, and the prosecco sent to our room was the perfect finishing touch. All these wonderful details made our stay truly memorable. We can't wait to return!

A super relaxing vacation. The food was delicious and varied, and the evening entertainment was excellent. We'll definitely be back for a longer stay. The ocean is beautiful and clean, and you can see a lot of the wildlife without a mask: stingrays, dolphins, snakes, etc. It's truly a paradise.

A magnificent hotel. The food is delicious and varied. Pristine white sand. Azure water. There's a tennis court. Tons of different activities, including swimming with sharks. Overall, it was a blast.

New resort on a paradise island. Great beach, liked the guys in water sports - all the equipment is new, working and the staff themselves are pleasant to talk to. The staff in the main restaurant is very smiling. They greet you with drums and see you off wonderfully, very atmospheric. Lots of food, good choice, delicious tuna, sometimes good meat. A lot of everything is included in the meal plan, for us it was even too much. The room is very hot, you can't live without air conditioning. We were at other resorts - there the villas have higher roofs and thatch on top, protecting the villa from overheating. This is not the case here, the villa is burning hot in the sun. The villa itself is very simple, like a house at a recreation center in Russia) there was not enough opportunity to connect the phone to the TV, more modern sockets, chargers. The air conditioner in the beach villa hangs opposite the bed, it is almost impossible not to catch a cold. The room includes a lot of drinks, wine. I don't know who can consume so much. As for me, it is a bit excessive. The hotel is new - there is no vegetation yet, it is very hot to move around the island, as there is no shade yet. There are breakwaters on the main beach opposite the beach villa, I did not see them in the photo. In fact, they certainly save you from the waves, but they spoil the frame) for beautiful photos I had to go to the water sports area. But the island is wonderful! Although not big. This is our third resort in the Maldives, I hope to return someday if the resort grows)

The chef in the hotel restaurant is very good and friendly. The nanny at the hotel is very patient and speaks good English. The abilities of hotel housekeepers and managers are very poor. Compared with Chinese housekeepers, they need to be greatly improved. I think the butler and manager of their hotel need to take some continuing education courses, as his ability to be a butler is really poor. I originally booked a water house with a swimming pool for two nights and a beach house with a swimming pool for one night. When I arrived at the hotel after a long journey, they told me that the water house with swimming pool for my first night was fully booked, and they arranged a second room for me, next to it. There were many people of different nationalities checking in, but we were the only Chinese. We felt like we were not taken seriously and our room was given to others. The price of the water house with swimming pool was more expensive than the room we stayed in. The only compensation they gave us was that we used the price difference of the room to buy it. On the second night, we were finally arranged to stay in a water house with a swimming pool, but the most irritating thing was that we were asked to hand over the room at 10:00 in the morning and then transfer to the beach house. I said check-out time was not 12 o'clock? Why do you ask me to hand over the room at 10 o'clock? So why? Wasn't it morning when I checked in yesterday? My child is still sleeping in the room. In addition, there is a lot of garbage on the beach of the hotel. Isn’t the Maldives a beautiful place? Why is it full of garbage? Are these all discharged by the hotel? All made from freshly squeezed orange juice, orange peels and other fruit peels? Also, the hotel towels are yellow and gray, not white?

Joy Island is Absolutely beautiful, relaxing and tranquil, the Villas are lovely, the staff are so polite and helpful, the food was lovely, such an amazing experience, would definitely return and recommend

We spent four days in paradise. All the staff were extremely friendly, especially Naveen and Gita from the restaurant and our host Aani, who was attentive at all times and always available for any request. 100% recommended.

We visited here in mid November 2025 for grand Reunion of many dear friends and family. It was a truly outstanding experience and always. This is a very private island with over 100 rooms and many bungalows over the water that are beautifully appointed and very quiet with many sand beaches to choose from as well as an array of water sports as well as guided scuba, diving and other activities. The staff to visitor ratio is about one to one and is absolutely outstanding. The service is more than polite - there is an urgency by everybody on the island to help you in any way they can. I would particularly recommend the water bungalows which have private steps into the surrounding orders, as well as the spa for the service is also impeccable. The food choices are multiple and also excellent and fresh every day. Getting here is also an experience with direct water taxis which only take about 45 minutes from the Male airport to the hotel jetty . All the managers were excellent and a special thanks to Bandula who looked after our group. Great memories and a great visit with perfect weather also.

Joy Island, a piece of heaven! The room and view was spacious, and staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and lots of options 🫶. Joy Island is an absolute Gem with lots of activities cater to all, You can chill at rainbow bar with amazing sunset views next to main pool,snorkel, engage in water sports and music entertainment, Every night they have entertainment like glow party, hawaii night, maldives night etc..which makes us not bored at all💫 Highly recommend this resort to all who is looking for relaxing & joyful getaway ✨
