Five-star rating | Bo Xin Yun She MCA (Dali Ancient City Store) – Immerse yourself in the gentle charm and vibrant life at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, right by the ancient city. This trip to Dali with my parents was made truly special by our three-night stay at Bo Xin Yun She MCA (Dali Ancient City Store), where we booked two rooms. The entire experience was incredibly comfortable and healing, so much so that we didn't want to leave. I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting Dali, especially those traveling with elderly family members! This guesthouse boasts a superb location, nestled at the foot of Cangshan Mountain and right next to the South Gate of the ancient city. A short stroll takes you directly to the South Gate. Outside, you'll find the bustling streets and lively atmosphere of the ancient city's South Gate; but step inside the courtyard, and all the noise instantly fades away. It truly offers a peaceful sanctuary amidst the hustle and bustle, quiet and serene, which my parents particularly appreciated. The guesthouse has perfectly preserved the authentic Bai minority courtyard style of Dali, with its rustic elegance and picturesque views at every turn, each reflecting the unique charm of Dali. Especially at night, as the courtyard lights softly illuminate, warm glows spill over the greenery and eaves, creating an absolutely enchanting atmosphere. Sitting here enjoying coffee or afternoon tea, with a gentle evening breeze, all the fatigue from traveling simply melts away. What truly surprised us was the rooftop garden on the third floor. It offers expansive, unobstructed views, directly facing the majestic Cangshan Mountain! In the early morning, Cangshan is often shrouded in mist and clouds, creating a serene and beautiful, almost ethereal scene. Our family took a group photo on the terrace, capturing one of the most precious and heartwarming moments of our trip. Whether it was the elegant and tranquil courtyard room or the uniquely scenic waterside room, the living experience was exceptional. The actual rooms perfectly matched the photos on the platform – clean, tidy, elegant, and cozy. Opening the window, we were greeted by the magnificent scenery of Cangshan. The room details truly added to our positive impression: the bath towels were high-quality Xinjiang long-staple cotton, soft and gentle on the skin, and you could even take them home! The toothbrushes and toiletries were of excellent quality, and the slippers were comfortable and thick. These personal touches really showed the guesthouse's thoughtfulness and attention to detail, making our stay extra comfortable and reassuring. The highlight of our entire stay was undoubtedly the guesthouse's incredibly thoughtful service. All the staff members were polite, humble, and meticulous. A special thank you to Xiao Ju and Xiao Gao who assisted us. Xiao Ju, who handled our check-in, was particularly attentive and thoughtful when she learned I was traveling with my parents and had booked two rooms. She not only arranged for our two rooms to be close together for convenience but also, considering my parents' mobility, specially reserved a room with elevator access for us. This level of delicate care and consideration made our whole family feel incredibly warm and appreciated. Breakfast exceeded our expectations – it was authentic and plentiful. The freshly cooked rice noodles and 'er si' (Dali-style rice noodles) were fragrant and flavorful, with an authentic taste. There was a wide selection of Dali specialty snacks like 'kao er kuai' (grilled rice cake) and 'kao ru shan' (grilled cheese), all made with quality ingredients and authentic flavors, even better than some of the street stalls in the ancient city. My parents praised it profusely. With its stylish courtyard, breathtaking Cangshan views, convenient location, warm service, meticulous amenities, and authentic cuisine, Bo Xin Yun She MCA perfectly encapsulated our family's wonderful time in Dali – gentle and healing. Every moment of our three-night stay was incredibly comforting, and I wouldn't hesitate to choose this place again on our next visit to Dali.
