Hotels in Cangshan Scenic Area, Dali City

Whenever I travel,麗怡Hotel is always my top choice, so it was fantastic to find one here in Dali. This hotel is nestled in a quiet and comfortable villa area. The rooms are spotless, and all the facilities are brand new; I honestly couldn't find a single fault. The front desk service was absolutely wonderful, beyond words. I was genuinely sad to leave. If I get the chance to visit Dali again, I'll definitely be choosing麗怡Hotel.

Heartwarming Service but Disappointing Room Layout & Location 1. Amazing Staff Support: • As foreigners without Chinese phone numbers, we couldn't rent the ”Snoopy” electric cars. The staff went above and beyond, using their own accounts to scan, pay, and even remotely lock/unlock the cars for us throughout the day. They even handled the return process when there were technical issues. • Flexible Service: They were kind enough to serve breakfast at 8:00 AM (30 minutes earlier than scheduled) to accommodate our early plans. ＞＞＞ The staff here are the biggest plus. They were incredibly welcoming, enthusiastic, and supported us throughout our stay in Dali. Whether it was helping with our heavy luggage or providing local recommendations, their hospitality was genuine and much appreciated. 2. Room Layout: Not as Expected We booked a ”2-bedroom suite,” but it was actually two separate rooms with private entrances and no shared indoor area. The second room was extremely small; with two large suitcases open, there was almost no space to move. The photos on the listing were quite misleading regarding this separate layout. 3. Location & Accessibility The homestay is in a quiet, isolated area with no shops or restaurants within walking distance. You have to take a taxi for everything (5–30 mins to major attractions), which adds significant costs to your trip. ===＞ While the people here are wonderful, the high price doesn't quite match the room's convenience and location. Best suited for those who don't mind taking taxis and want a quiet stay.

I booked this place after reading the reviews about the above and beyond service, and the connection that guests were able to make with the owner of the accommodation. When there are hundreds of hotels to choose from, I value getting to know the humans behind a business. Unfortunately during my stay the main owner whom the reviews refer to, was away. The staff that was in place was helpful, but I felt gave me the one simplest solution to any question I had, rather than the best possible solution, or even options, for what I needed help with. I probably had an anomaly of an experience. The room was spacious and fairly clean. There was a bathroom window in the room that had no blinds or curtains, and the courtyard lights would stream into the room past 10pm, which meant that the room was not completely dark. I included a photo - the light is a lot more obvious and pervasive in a dark room. I had to sleep with an eye mask on, which thankfully, I had. I would suggest to the owners to put a curtain or some blinds up in the bathroom window. I would still recommend this hotel for its quiet location and proximity to the ancient city (8-10yuan Didi ride). Hopefully you'll have the lady boss around during your stay.

The location is super convenient, making it easy to get to all the attractions in Dali quickly. The room was comfortable overall, and the facilities were sufficient. Breakfast was excellent, truly international standard. Parking is a bit limited, but you can park on the street near the front entrance. If you get a parking ticket, the front desk staff will pay it for you, which is very helpful. We stayed for two nights and got two tickets, both paid immediately.

Choosing this hotel was the smartest decision I made in Dali. It's incredibly close to Dali Ancient City, just a few steps away, and the nearby Tianlong Babu Film City is like a paradise for martial arts fans. The hotel environment is elegant and tranquil, with artful paintings adorning the hallways. The room facilities are complete and high-end; the jetted tub melted away my fatigue, and the smart speaker allowed me to play my favorite music anytime. The egg pancake at breakfast was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the cheesecake at afternoon tea was sweet yet not cloying. The staff were patient and meticulous, helping me resolve small issues during my trip and even arranging pick-up and drop-off services, making my travel incredibly convenient.

The service was absolutely amazing! The staff, especially a lovely lady, waited up for us until midnight to check us in and even helped with our luggage. The service, atmosphere, and overall environment are fantastic – perfect for taking photos. The morning sunlight was incredible for pictures, and we got to witness the beautiful sunrise over the snow-capped mountains and the morning mist.

The hotel is spotless and incredibly quiet and comfortable. The service was absolutely outstanding! Every staff member was dedicated and super friendly to guests. My child experienced altitude sickness for the first time in Yunnan, and the hotel immediately provided oxygen and even offered to accompany us to the doctor. The breakfast was delicious, and room service was very efficient. I highly, highly recommend this place. Before we left, they even gave a small gift to my child. Seriously, I can't recommend this quality hotel enough; it's truly trustworthy.

Little Red Book (a popular Chinese social media platform) truly lived up to its reputation – this is a gem of a guesthouse! The location, facilities, cleanliness, environment, and views are all superb! The owner is a young man, and communication was effortless; we got along very well, and he even made tea for us. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, with excellent facilities. The mahjong machine was particularly impressive. In Dali, it's sunny during the day and rainy at night, so staying in the room, enjoying the fruit provided by the front desk, and playing mahjong was incredibly pleasant. The scenery is also absolutely stunning, with views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake! Highly recommended!

Just got back from Dali and stayed here for a few nights – it was genuinely great! Here's my honest review. The hotel has a Bai-style courtyard aesthetic, with white walls, upturned eaves, and a courtyard full of flowers and plants. The environment is quiet and peaceful, and the greenery is meticulously maintained. Sitting in the courtyard is incredibly therapeutic. The location is really convenient. Just a short walk outside leads to the popular '网红公路' (influencer highway). It's a 10-minute drive to Dali Ancient City, and about 20 minutes to the Three Pagodas and Cangshan Mountain. It's also right next to Dali University, so there are tons of snack shops around, and plenty of options for takeout. The amenities are comprehensive, including a swimming pool and a gym. For those driving, there's a free underground parking garage. The breakfast buffet offers both Chinese and Western options, and the taste is decent. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful; they even gave us a free room upgrade. They were also very responsive when we asked for directions or needed anything. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Dali.
