Hotels in Erhai Park, Dali City

Stayed here for 2 nights, but in two different rooms, so I got to experience both. Overall, the hotel has a great view and a generally comfortable stay. It is a bit far from most main attractions, although it is relatively close to the railway station. There is a nearby bus station (Line 6), but getting to the Ancient Town and other popular areas is still quite far, so using Didi is often the easier option. The lobby also provides tea, coffee, and water, which is a nice touch. My first room was on the 2nd floor and felt very modern and new. The bed was especially comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-designed — I really liked this room. My second room was on the 5th floor, and there is no lift in the building, so carrying luggage up the stairs can be quite tiring. The staff kindly helped me, which I really appreciated, especially since it was quite a lot of effort. This room had a nice view, but it felt a bit older compared to the first one, especially the bathroom. If I had to choose, I personally preferred the first room for its newer feel and comfort, but both stays were still pleasant in different ways.

We travelled to Dali from Kunming by train. Before arriving, we called the hotel to arrange pickup from the station as we arrived late at 10pm. The hotel was fantastic as they arranged a driver to meet us. We booked the room with the 270 degree view. It was on the 4th and top floor with fantastic view of Erhai Lake. It had an outdoor area bigger than the room!. Although language was a barrier the staff went out of their way to help to make our stay very very pleasant. WeChat and Alipay is a must in Dali. The hotel is located inside a gated area and is very secure. Transport via Didi is easy and the hotel is close to town with train station only 20 minutes away.

The front desk staff were really enthusiastic during check-in. There was a small issue with the room, but they quickly helped us switch to another one and even brought the key cards up to us. All these little touches made us feel so warm and welcomed. The hotel facilities are very new, the room is clean, and the layout is great. The cleaning staff were also always smiling. I'll definitely come back to Dali, and when I do, I'll absolutely choose Hilton Garden Inn Erhai Park again.

Qianyu Seaview Resort is located on the 19th floor of Building B of Erhai Tianyu International Apartment, featuring six rooms named after natural elements: 'Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon, Cloud, and Dew'. I stayed in the 'Cloud' room, which offered a 180-degree view of Erhai Lake from its balcony. Only the 'Flower' and 'Moon' rooms boast a 270-degree panoramic view, as one side of their balconies is unobstructed by walls. For instance, the 'Moon' room, as shown in the picture, also provides a glimpse of the Xingsheng Bridge to the left. Qianyu provides complimentary fruits and beverages, and the breakfast spread is generous. There are also many restaurants nearby. The resort is close to Erhai Park, making it convenient for a morning stroll to Ernan for photos. Since it doesn't face Erdong, you can only capture a corner of the morning glow and the glistening lake.

While Dali boasts a mature scene for B&Bs and boutique hotels, I opted for a chain hotel this time. Pullman is considered one of Dali's flagship hotels (I initially wanted to try the newly opened Dali EDITION, but it wasn't open yet). Overall, the attention to detail was excellent. The hotel is located downtown, right by the濱海大道 (Binhai Avenue), with plenty of dining options nearby. For around 1000 RMB, it includes a mini-bar (though with limited selections) and turndown service. The showerhead faces the wall, which was a nice touch. It also offers free parking and direct elevator access to the lobby – these small details really stood out. Of course, there were a few minor downsides: the bathroom scale needed new batteries, and while breakfast was varied and tasty, there was no host to seat guests. Overall, though, it was very well done. A special mention goes to our butler, Coco, who was incredibly gentle and attentive, and promptly resolved any issues we had. This was a truly memorable trip… I haven't left a review in a long time, but I wanted to share my experience right away.

The sea view from the room is unobstructed, and the moment you open the door, you're greeted by the turquoise Erhai Lake. The 'orange sea' at sunset is absolutely stunning for photos. The room itself is dry and free of dampness, and well-equipped with all amenities. The butler service is attentive and thoughtful. It's a quiet place, perfect for unwinding and healing all travel fatigue. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Dali.

Got a free room upgrade! The hotel is really close to the high-speed rail station. It's super clean, gets tidied up daily, and they constantly restock water and amenities. The breakfast buffet is amazing and varied, so you won't get bored. The laundry room has three washers and three dryers, which is a huge plus. And they even have a robot deliver food to your room!

The hotel is located in a development zone in Manjiang, Dali. It has been cured since the check-in. The front desk service room service and breakfast feel very good. It rains when I arrive at the store. On the way from the car to the hotel, the front desk also runs out with an umbrella. Thank you very much for the front desk lady, and then the check-in was very fast. The little brother and sister were very enthusiastic with a smile. After the check-in, I went to the room and found that there were two bottles of water in the room. The room attendant aunt also helped to send mineral water. I also introduced me to a fun place. Thank you very much for this aunt, like it, the breakfast is also very delicious, the room size is not small, but compared to the hotel room size of the same price, the bathroom is dry and wet, there is not much to eat around the hotel, but a few more steps are also there is a business district, overall it is very convenient, The wireless network in the room is also very smooth. The screen is not stuck. It is very good. I have not been ready to leave Dali for a few days and then come back to live. It is very close to Dali Station and the airport. 👍🏻

The room was very clean. However, the AC didn't seem to cool down enough, and I woke up several times during the night feeling hot. It's definitely a central air conditioning system. On the last night, someone was cooking in their room, and the smell came right through the AC vent. The hotel is just across the street from Dali High-Speed Railway Station, which is great for those catching early morning trains. The hotel's conference center is on the third floor, and there were meetings happening there these past two days. The smoke smell was incredibly strong, you could smell it all along the corridor. Breakfast was just okay; it was plain but filling.

Quiet, comfortable and a beautiful lakeside view A really lovely stay. The hotel and rooms were very clean with lots of nice features, and the lakeside view is simply beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond at every turn. They picked us up on arrival, and when we had an early train to catch and were worried about missing breakfast due to traffic, they reassured us, made sure we sat down and ate, and then dropped us off at the station so we made it on time. We did! On top of that, they welcomed us with a fruit basket and afternoon tea, and there’s even a nighttime milk drink on offer which was a sweet touch. For English speakers there can be a bit of a language barrier, but nothing a translation app can’t handle, and the staff went out of their way to print out a full set of recommendations in English for us, which was really thoughtful. The hotel is just a few minutes from the beautiful Erhai Park and some great restaurants, and it’s very quiet at night. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. We would love to come back!
