Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The hotel upgraded the room with a private garden which was very nice. One thing to note is that seems outsiders are also able to enter the hotel property. Breakfast spread was average.

Overall, our stay at this hotel was a pleasant experience. the walk from the bus stop to the hotel was a bit difficult with our luggage due to the uneven road. Nevertheless, the hotel is in old town and owner was super friendly with food and places recommendations. The room was clean and the heated bed was a welcomed feature in the cold weather. We highly recommend this hotel, and advise informing the owner in advance about your arrival so they can arrange for assistance with luggage.

We recently stayed at a hotel right outside the 南门of the Ancient City, and its location couldn't have been more convenient. Given how jammed Dali can get, walking was the best option, and this hotel’s location made it incredibly easy to explore the area on foot. The staff here is simply the best I’ve ever encountered. I had many parcels delivered to the hotel before my arrival, and they not only managed all of them seamlessly but also offered to send out additional parcels on my behalf. Despite the hotel being fully booked, they attended to our requests promptly and always with a smile. Their dedication to going above and beyond was truly impressive. The staff also provided excellent recommendations for food and activities nearby, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic, and the views of 苍山 were amazing. We had a wonderful stay, and we will definitely be back!

I had enjoyed my stay at Dali Ancient Luchun Hotel extremely much due to the excellent service. They really weren’t lying about the Haidilao-style service.  Their front desk personnel manning the Wechat (慕雅) was extremely responsive and helpful when it came to my requests. The lobby staff were also very helpful in delivering stuff to my room and when I was carrying luggages, they ran forward and assisted me immediately.  The services at this hotel were also unique and special: warm milk delivery daily (so that you can sleep) and free pick-up to and from the Ancient City and also to the airport/railway.  Nearby (10 minutes walk) there is also street food that tastes amazing and is value for money.  Overall, I would recommend this stay to anyone who is looking for stellar service and helpful staff and I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I had the chance to visit Dali.  我非常喜欢入住大理麓椿花园酒店，他们提供的优质服务真的名不虚传，确实有海底捞式服务的水准。 前台负责微信客服的慕雅对我的各种需求都非常响应和耐心解答。大堂的工作人员也很热情周到，每次送东西到房间时都很及时，当我提着行李时，他们还会主动上前帮忙。 酒店的服务也非常独特和贴心：每天送热牛奶（助眠），还提供免费接送服务，不仅接送古城，还可以送到机场或高铁站。 附近也有步行十分钟可达的街头美食，味道很棒，性价比也很高。 总之，我会推荐这家酒店给任何想要体验优质服务和热心员工的客人。如果有机会再次来到大理，我一定会选择再次入住这家酒店！

Our room was not well cleaned. Hairs all over the place, in the bathroom, around the pilars and even on the table on the sofa. Very dusty. Even found fake eyelashes in the bathroom, that were not ours. When confronting the staff about these issues they were immediately willing to give us another room, upon taking us there and inspecting the room, we found again hairs in the bathroom of the new room. Despite the hygiene not being what it’s supposed to be, the guys at reception were very willing, informative and helpfull, they came to pick us up from the airport and helped us with our luggage. The potential is there, they just need to top up their cleaning game. The room and courtyard in itself are magical, the hygiene unfortunately isn’t.

I’ve just returned to my home country, and I’m already missing my stay at this Dali hotel! The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk from Dali Ancient City. What’s even better is that the hotel isn’t directly inside the ancient city, making it super convenient to order Didi rides, which can pick you up and drop you off right at the hotel’s doorstep. Since we stayed for two nights, the owner generously provided us with a pick-up service, which made our arrival so much smoother. As female travelers, we truly appreciated how attentive, caring, and thoughtful the staff were throughout our stay. The area around the hotel is very convenient. At night, the road fills up with roadside stalls, making it easy to find food. As Muslims, we were delighted to discover halal food options nearby, which added so much ease to our trip. The room itself was warm, spacious, and cozy—with probably the most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever slept in! If you’re visiting Dali, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. With its strategic location, thoughtful hospitality, and cozy atmosphere, it’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again!

Stayed here for 2 nights as 2nd part of our Yunnan trip. Superb location as it was just walking distance to Da Li Ancient Town. The owners are super friendly and nice, making sure we are well taken care of during our stay and that we layer up when the weather gets cold whenever we are going out. They even recommend places and things to buy and not to buy, the reasonable prices etc, which we feel was a very nice touch as we often get targeted to pay a tourist rate as we do not know the market. When we checked out, they even gave us some sourvenir to bring back and remember about Da Li. They have an adorable Corgi too. We truly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return when we come back next time!

In all my years of solo traveling around China and other countries, I’ve never stayed at a homestay quite as enchanting as this one. The cleanliness isn’t just limited to the rooms, the entire place is spotless. The location is perfect for a first-time visit to Dali, just a five-minute walk from the ancient city. Since it’s outside the ancient city, it’s close enough to explore on foot while still allowing easy access to cabs. The amenities were excellent, featuring a Xiaomi smart room ecosystem made my stay even more comfortable. However, what truly stood out was the service. From the moment I arrived, the 三个帅哥 and 美女 running the homestay made me feel incredibly welcome. They offered me an upgrade to the best room available, took the time to propose an itinerary based on my stay duration, introduced me to the adorable homestay pets (two dogs and a cat), and warmly invited me to spend time with them whenever I wanted (a small but meaningful gesture when you’re far from home and solo traveling). Their hospitality extended beyond just conversations and recommendations. As the weather turned cold during my stay, they prepared ginger soup one evening for the guests, which seemed to me a very thoughtful touch. They also offer afternoon tea with waffles, fruit, and flower pastries until 5pm. I’m super grateful for their kindness and service, and I really hope to return in the future :)

Help us to find what we need in Dali and very friendly attitude and willingness to assist with our requests made us feel at home. A special mention goes to the **kitchen helpers**, who prepared delicious meals with great care. Their attention to detail and warm service made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We are also grateful to the **hotel driver** who provided transportation to and from the railway station. His punctuality and courteous nature made our journey hassle-free. Dali, Yunnan, is not only a place of breathtaking beauty but also home to some of the most kind and helpful people we’ve met. We truly appreciate the warmth and generosity of the locals, which made our trip even more special. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dali! We will definitely return.

The room is spacious and the location is at the corner of Ancient Town. However, the breakfast food can be improved to have more variety rather than only porridge and noodle everyday. The boss is friendly and helpful. He helped me to arrange a chartered car to get around the lake.
