We highly recommend this hotel. When we first arrived we were greeted by whom I presume to be the owner of the hotel. He helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room personally. Understanding that we know limited Chinese, he took the time to slowly show us the features of the room - including an automated voice command tool and a projector for watching movies. He also learned we have an early check out and spent time using WeChat to share places where we can find breakfast early in the morning. As for the hotel room itself, it's specious, modern, and well equipped. The facilities are modern and very well-kept. The location is perfect for us - it's a short 5 minute walk from the main tourist area of Dali Old Town - this means the area had more locals, quieter, and more authentic. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again next time we visit Dali.

I had such a great time in this apartment. The room was very comfortable and the location is perfect to reach places on foot. The hosts were friendly and gave me lots of tips. I'd sincerely recommend it.

My stay here is exceptionally satisfactory because of the services. The owners are a couple with a cute daughter. They are very supportive. My bus from Kunming to Dali reached the hotel at 1am. They were staying awake to keep us updated on the route and the husband rode a escooter to take me to the noodle store to buy food at 2am. Very heart melting. Although we are foreigners and not familiar with China, he patiently supported us whenever we asked. 💖 There are free pastry and fruits at the courtyard so that you can sit there to enjoy a chill rest. When we checkout, he gave us some souvenirs as a gift, and help to carry our luggage to the taxi location. So sweet ☺️ Considering the room, very clean and smart and compact. The bed is super large and comfortable. Regarding the location, as I observe in Dali Ancient Town, most of them are not accessible by car as they are located in small alleys, which requires a bit walk to reach the street. But no need to worry about the luggage, the hotel will support with all their hearts. 🥰

The bed is comfortable. The only dissatisfied is the toilet, especially the toilet bowl is so smelly, and the hair shampoo was finished by last guests but didn't refill it.

If there is a "smell" as you said, we will arrange for repairs as soon as possible, and the room will not be arranged for you to stay. If there is a problem like you said, I think we will find you and solve it as soon as you find it. However, we have not received any feedback from you and your family during your stay in our store. Our bathrooms are equipped with exhaust fans for ventilation. If you do not exhaust the air in time after using the toilet, It is normal for ventilation to have a smell. Due to our negligence, the shampoo was not replenished in time. I would like to apologize to you here. Thank you for your reminder. We will strengthen the inspection in this regard in the future. In addition, we will add WeChat for every guest staying in our store. You can also talk to us directly on WeChat or go to the front desk and we will get you a new bottle of shampoo directly. Super clean well renovated room and convenient location. The boss and his family live on site. He was super considerate and sweet, sending taxi instructions ahead of time and sent so many tips for the area. Highly recommend!

My stay at 南北小院 in Dali was great. 1.The room was clean, with the added convenience of smart home controls. 2. The hotel owners, were friendly & incredibly helpful and provided valuable information during our visits. 3. Thanks to the hotel owner for giving my son souvenirs & their assistance with carrying my luggage. 4. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dali.

The owner is very helpful & the environment of the room is nice and clean. Feel warm to get a cute souvenir from owner. By the way the location is not easy to find as there was road construction been carried out, cab is not allowed to enter to the nearest area, so need to walk. But the owner is very helpful to pick your luggage up from the waiting area.

Run by a young couple who are very friendly and helpful. The room booked was big and clean. Location is convenient to go to the main shopping and food street. Being an old house, the walls are thin so noise within the inn is expected.

The owners were extremely nice, they gave us a free upgrade because they had a room available. They were also so hospitable and provided us many travelling tips through WeChat on how to explore Dali. The location is great too, walkable to the 古城 and just a 5-10min drive to 洱海. I 100% recommend booking here!

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely inn. The location is fantastic right in the heart of old Dali town. The Owner and his wife are very friendly and willing to provide assistance to us above and beyond. *I strongly recommend this place to stay in DALI*.

Very clean and nice accommodation! Smart control room, the owner was nice, help us carry luggage and introduce foods, places to visit during the stay, and gave us souvenir when we check out! There was plenty of food stall nearby the hotel and easy to get taxi (didi) to travel around dali. Highly recommended hotel!

The homestay owners are friendly and helpful. Good hospitality. The room is very AI, we can use voice to control the room temperature, light, TV, curtain, etc. We enjoy our stays. The toilet bowl is clean and warm (it has the feature to warm the seat 😊) Good experience for us. The location is good but because of the ongoing construction nearby creates inconvenience for travellers who carry large luggage. However, we called the owner and they were very helpful to carry the luggage and fetch us to the door step. We were being served with lots of titbits upon our arrival.

Great host and new apartment. The main road leading to the apartment is under construction so it could be a short walk from the drop off point.
