ElAndariego is a nice, comfortable place off the street in a local area near the Plaza. Breakfast is good and there is attractive outdoor seating available. One room I was in had a fireplace (!). Hot water is available, but takes a bit to kick in. Not being in the tourist epicenter, there are a lot of local stores and services in the area: groceries, laundry etc. I had a shave in a salon around the corner--Ruth's--for 10 soles. Only beef I have with ElAndariego is that it doesn't provide drinking water; you have to buy their bottles. Overall, I would definitely stay again.

We only stayed 1 quick night after a long trek in the Andes. But this hotel was lovely. Amazing location right in the center. Being set back in a courtyard it's really quiet, despite the crazy city just outside. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs to order and yummy coffee. Yes the room was chilly and the hot water is a problem all over Cusco. This is a high altitude city after all. Though we had no problem with the water in the morning, it was hot quickly and did not run out. Wifi worked great. Bed was comfortable and lots of blankets provided. We had a much needed good night of sleep. I would stay here again for sure!
